My weight is around 245 to 255 out the door 265 to 275 -- 5ft 10 inches --S3 on the pro track I have seen anywhere from 52 to 109 depending on if I am flocking or going flat out . I don't believe the 52 because all the the birds I jump with have a hard time cathing me except Scarry Perry.

I did the same thing with the same results except I hit 175. I got a tip that has helped bring your legs together first then do the barrel role.

What kind of max speed are you getting in wing suit
flyhilo2 replied to flyhilo2's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Thanks I will try that. On the front flips I assume you bring your arms to your side to get started head down then bring your legs together and bend to your chest. And viceversa for the back loop. Oh I am 5 foot 10 inches 240lbs of rompin stompin female satisfaction. little humor from an old guy. -

Thanks,When you start your role do you keep your legs together until after you bring your wings out or both at the same time? -

The truth is the barrel role didnt go as planed and I ended up head down which turned out to be a lot of fun so I went with it. My slowest speed is 58 and Iam 270 out the door should I expect to be slower for my size? I have about 20 jumps on wing suit. -

I never thought about tring to get a slow fall rate out of the dive. I will try that next time thanks. -

line dump on 9ft bridle and larger pilot chute
flyhilo2 replied to flyhilo2's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I have 6% body fat so I have been trying. This covers 4 decades of jumping and it has been five years since I blew the last one up. -
line dump on 9ft bridle and larger pilot chute
flyhilo2 replied to flyhilo2's topic in Wing Suit Flying
That could be but I am aware of this and try to make sure my lines are tight with 1.5 to 2 inches of line out side the rubber bands. I have blown up lots of parachutes from rounds to squares but this was the hardest one yet. -
line dump on 9ft bridle and larger pilot chute
flyhilo2 replied to flyhilo2's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I pack with the bag ring next to the closing ring, bridle inside the pc. The only thing I can think of is because of the slow and soft openings with the wing suit I have not been rolling the nose. Because of the cold I decided to do an RW jump instead of wing suit dive I set up good for the opening and the canopy had on heading opening but just hammered me. I would not think a bigger pilot chute would make that much difference thats why I think I must have had line dump. Also I weigh 285 out the door my dytter average speed 134 fastest 143 on that jump. -
line dump on 9ft bridle and larger pilot chute

I made a RW jump using my wing suit packing procedures with a new bridle and pilot chute. The opening was very quick and hard. It blew the right tail section top and bottom skin out. I can only think I must have got a premature line dump because of the encreased snatch force of the larger pilot chute. Has anybody else had this problem? -
I have owned Reflex,Jav, Vectors, and just purchased a Wings container to go with my Birdman suit. The people at Sunrise Rigging especially Paige could not have been more helpful. I received my Wings container and there were a few problems that were no fault of the manufacture so I sent it back They not only resized the container for me but packed my reserve and my main and shipped it next day mail all that at no charge. You can not beat that kind of customer service I will be a wings user from now on.

Hey I'm just looking out for you (a mile in my shoes that sort of thing)

Richland Washington at Richland SkySports has 2 Bird men on the DZ and 5 that come in and out.

In the old days we use to practice style hanging from a small A frame. has anybody tried seting something like that in a wind tunnel and trying different mods. on a wing suit? If the bird man is tethered right you could change his angle of attack to relitive wind and get abetter idea how things work.
