Yea, okay, we've heard from you and all the other Bush supporters who support Iraq, support the troops in Iraq, think that the Iraquis are out to get us, blah blah blah. You want your Iraq 'war', as you so call it, then it is only fair that you all should fund the 10 million dollars a day it cost to maintain it. Fair enough? I dont care about Iraq, or about the troops in Iraq. If they get hurt or killed, its too bad for them. And dont give me any rhetoric about them fighting for my rights, I didnt ask them to do that. Im perfectly capable of fighting for my own rights, thank you. Besides, it isnt rights theyre fighting for, its oil. I guess you could say they are fighting for my oil. Based on what thats costing the taxpayers, I can honestly say it would be a lot cheaper to just drill for it. It doesnt cost 10 million dollars a day to do that.

Well stated. If he gets impeached on the current agenda, there is a chance he may get off on a 'technicality', or for some reason found not guilty due to information given to him that was 'unknowingly' misleading. If he beats the rap, it would only empower him even furthur. The best way to remove him is the quickest, surest way. Catch him for violation of the law. The fact is, he will do it. He has already stated that he would. If he plans on doing that, then I have to wonder what else is in his bag of tricks. Thats the reason why I got so radical about the posiiblility of Bush turning this into a police state, because that is the only way he will remain in offfice after violating US law. He must realize that, unless he happens to be a lot stupider than I ever thought he would be. The sooner Bush and his gang are out, the sooner we can all get our lives back. Im all for the quickest way. As far as prosecution for attrocities he has committed here an abroad, much better to undertake those issues when he is out of office, and under criminal prosecution. The most importand thing right now, is we need to get our lives back, and that wont happen until the Bush gang is out of office.

Ha ha, LOL, the 2008 election! Yea, okay, we'll see if there is one. Democratic nominee running against Bush? Isnt Bush on his second (and final by law) term? Oh yea, thats right, laws can be changed, good point. Laws can be chnged, and ballot boxes can be stuffed. Thats what I like about living in America, you can always expect the unexpected. Isnt that what they say, "Expect the unexpected"?

Well Amazon, I tend to have to agree with you, but I just think there is a little more to it than that. Read what I posted on another forum below about my response to someone saying he wont be impreached: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- This admin will not be impeached folks, the extreme left wont have the balls for it. Yes, that is always the problem, isnt it? Lots of talk, little if any action. They have been going on about Bush impeachment since 2005, that escalated in 2006, then in December a Representative made a formal decree to impeach Bush/ Cheney on her way out of office. On her way out of office. Why not sooner, when she has the time to make it count for something? Sounds like a 'hit and run' tactic on the part of the Representative, doesnt want to have to take any responsibility for her actions. You see folks, thats the problem right now. No one has got the balls to make the first move. A Representative from New Mexico is supposedly going to make the first move in a few months, I hear the chatter, but Ill believe it when I see it happen. Several states, including California, have voted to impeach Bush already, now all we need is a Representative with some balls. Chatter about impeachment, rallies, opinion polls, aint gonna do it folks. Bush doesnt care about anyones opinion, what Congress thinks or wants to do, he has his own agenda and that is the only thing he is concerned with. The only way to change that, is to start formal impeachment preceedings, he has no choice at all but to deal with it, period. If he chooses to ignore that, then we officially have a runaway government. That is not good. At that point, the executive government will have to be removed by force. Im not sure how this happens, as Commander in Chief, Bush is in control of the armed forces, including National Guard units which have been nationalized (slick move Bush, now you have your own SS Stormtroopers). So, who is going to officially remove Bush from office? The FBI? Not so sure about that, I think he might have authority over that too. The CIA? Hmmmm, nah. Well, the states have national guard units, but, those have been nationalized. So much for that idea. Soooo, what is left? Ladies and Gentelmen...welcome to NAZI AMERICA! Yep, they said it couldnt happen here. Only in 'defunct' countries like Germany. That ol' German government just couldnt hold its own, allowing a dictator like Hitler to manipulate and compromise their democratic structure and form a dictatorship of absolute power. But not our perfectly failsafe constitutional democracy of checks and balances, noooooo, never here, we'll sure never have to worry about something like that, this is America! Thats what the Germans thought. They were wrong. Add to that, in Germany at that time, the German Army was a seperate government power with its own legislative authority. That is not the case in America. The military is under the authority of the Commander in Chief, the highest ranking individual in all of the armed forces, the President. Germany's system was more failsafe than ours is now. The Bush family had been Nazi sympathizers back in the 1930s, so its no wonder where they get their training from! Yep, our little Bushie knows what he is doing allright. Sadam Hussein also got his training from the Nazis, the Baath party was a direct takeoff from the Nazi party. Just like in Nazi Germany, he had absolute power, people were being shot into ditches, Nazi style, and anyone who said anything about him signed his death warrent. So what do we do? We insult Bush as much as we can for now, while we still can. Enjoy that for as long as its going to last, because it wont last long. Plenty of open space in the good ol' USA for ditch digging. Oh, and BTW folks, this thing about "he only has two years left on this term", yea, you just keep on thinking that. That is what is called, "wishful thinking", on everyones part. Same kind of wishful thinking the Jews had when they thought the train was only taking them to resettlment camps back east for their own protection. The two term restriction in the presidency is a law, and, believe it or not, laws can be changed. Bush has been doing that for some time now. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Bush may be impeached allright, but his actual removal from office is an entirely different story.

This thread is about Bush and the prepetuation of lies leading to his impeachment (and hopefully, criminal prosecution). It is not about the Democrats in 2004. Get it? Obviously you have nothing good to say about Bush which is the reason why you are bringing that up. Old news about something else doesnt cover up the truth. As far as Im concerned, you and anyone else who supports Bush is just as guilty as he is and you should be prosecuted along with him. We just dont have enough jails for all of you.

Live poll at: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10562904/ A whopping 87% want impeachment. Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment? * 389440 responses Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more, there is plenty to justify putting him on trial. 87% No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing approaching "high crimes and misdemeanors." 4.5% No, the man has done absolutely nothing wrong. Impeachment would just be a political lynching. 6.4% I don't know. 1.9%

California Becomes Second State to Introduce Bush Impeachment by David Swanson Joining Illinois, California has become the second state in which a proposal to impeach President Bush has been introduced in the state legislature. And this one includes Cheney as well. California Assemblyman Paul Koretz of Los Angeles (where the LA Times has now called for Cheney's resignation) has submitted amendments to Assembly Joint Resolution No. 39, calling for the impeachment of President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney. The amendments reference Section 603 of Jefferson's Manual of the Rules of the United States House of Representatives, which allows federal impeachment proceedings to be initiated by joint resolution of a state legislature. The resolution, in the words of Koretz's press release, "bases the call for impeachment upon the Bush Administration intentionally misleading the Congress and the American people regarding the threat from Iraq in order to justify an unnecessary war that has cost billions of dollars and thousands of lives and casualties; exceeding constitutional authority to wage war by invading Iraq; exceeding constitutional authority by Federalizing the National Guard; conspiring to torture prisoners in violation of the 'Federal Torture Act' and indicating intent to continue such actions; spying on American citizens in violation of the 1978 Foreign Agency Surveillance Act; leaking and covering up the leak of the identity of Valerie Plame Wilson, and holding American citizens without charge or trial." Koretz submitted amendments gutting AJR No. 39, a resolution unrelated to impeachment, to the Assembly Rules Committee. The Rules Committee may take up the bill this week for referral, allowing him to formally introduce the amended resolution. AJR 39 is a bill introduced in January by Koretz calling for a moratorium on depleted uranium: http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/pub/bill/asm/ab_0001-0050/ajr_39_bill_20060104_introduced.html "At both the state and national levels," Koretz said, "we will be paying for the Bush Administration's illegal actions and terrible lack of judgment and competence for decades—not only in the billions of dollars wasted on the war and welfare for the rich, but in the worldwide loss of respect for America and Americans. Bush and Cheney must be impeached and removed from office before they undertake even deadlier misdeeds, such as the use of nuclear weapons. There are no bounds to their willingness to ignore the Constitution and world opinion—we can't afford to wait for the next disaster and hope that we can survive it." For more inormation and to thank this American hero, contact Paul Michael Neuman in Koretz's District Office: (310) 285-5490 paul.neuman@asm.ca.gov or go here: http://democrats.assembly.ca.gov/members/a42/contact.htm Here is a kit to help with promoting this resolution and with passing others in your towns and cities and states. Also on this page is information on activities in other states and localities: http://www.impeachpac.org/resolutions Get organized in California to pass this bill! http://pdamerica.org/statecaucus.php?s=ca Illinois Legislators Were First to Introduce Bill for Bush Impeachment Three members of the Illinois General Assembly have introduced a bill that urges the General Assembly to submit charges to the U. S. House of Representatives to initiate impeachment proceedings against the President of the United States, George W. Bush, for willfully violating his Oath of Office to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and if found guilty urges his removal from office and disqualification to hold any other office in the United States. The Jefferson Manual of rules for the U.S. House of Representatives makes clear that impeachment proceedings can be initiated by a state legislature submitting charges. The state of Illinois is on its way toward forcing on the House what not a single one of its members has yet had the courage to propose: Articles of Impeachment. The text of the Illinois bill and information on its status are available here: http://tinyurl.com/nhs3r The bill takes up the issues of illegal spying, torture, detentions without charge or trial, manipulation of pre-war intelligence, and the leaking of classified information. Please thank these sponsors of the bill: Rep. Karen A. Yarbrough, phone (217) 782-8120 or (708) 615-1747; fax (708) 615-1745 Rep Sara Feigenholtz , phone (217) 782-8062 or (773) 296-4141; fax (217) 557-7203 or (773) 296-0993 Rep. You are mostly right on all counts, but let me add that the Army has proven that statistically, women are much better at shooting than men, they are uncannily accurate with a rifle. This would make them great as snipers. As a matter of fact, some countries habitually use women snipers, real bitches with rifles. I had a girlfriend once, who never fired a gun in her life, and I took her trap shooting. I was demonstrating how to fire a shotgun and hit a clay pigeon, routinely missed a few and hit a few. when I handed her the gun, she smacks the very first one and every one after that. Embarrassing! Then she starts giving me pointers. Last time I ever took her shooting.

Not to put too fine a point on things, but could you please tell me which European country has had a government longer than the U.S.? Yes, yes, countries have kept the same names . . . France, England, Germany . . . but have their governments actually been intact for as long as say . . . 200 years? France? Well, clearly no. Germany? No. England? Uh . . . no. Hmm . . . adolescent country my ass! America? Nope, on all counts. From union of states, to nation, to the recent one party dictatorship that disregards the will of the people and of the states. Youre right, we havent reached the point of adolescence yet.....still trying.

LOL Wont do any good, there's still Cheney and the rest of em.

The prepetuation of lies and excuses by the Bush administation has long entered the realm of "just plain stupid". So, like you said, first it was the WMDs. Like, North Korea, South Africa, India, Pakistan, all third world that really do have WMDs but no effort was made to attack them. Wonder why? So then that excuse was abandoned and replaced with another excuse, when that didnt hold, Bush temporarily ran out of excuses, and replaced the last one with "because its the right thing to do". So we were all left with the reason, that the US was attacking Iraq and overthrowing the government because "it was the right thing to do". Remember that one? Man, I just cant believe how stupid that was. We have a stupid person occupying the presidency in this country, and THAT is scary. Forget about terrorism or buildings comming down, thats the least of what we have to worry about.

Youre preaching to the choir. Bad eggs that, in thier arrogance and stupidity, believe idiotic propaganda put out by Bush controlled media. Bush does control much of the media, so it may look like there are a lot of American supporters, but the reality of that may be very different. Consider the Congressional elections, Democrats taking over. That is the product of the majority saying "Bush, get out of here and take your idiotic party with you". Hitler didnt win Europe, and Bush wont win America. For a while it may look like he is, but the truth is out there, and he and his party will lose.

Yes, I agree with everything in your post, your statements are pretty much accurate. Let us all hope European nations dont come to the point of having to take out Bush and his evil cohorts, I sincerely hope there is still enough people left in this country with half a brain that will do the job. The Democrats have overrun Congress and are in the process of bring allegations against the Bush administration, so there is a light still left on at the end of the tunnel. Dont give up on America yet, not all of us are arrogant, selfish, greedy dumbasses straight off of the farm. See the documentary "Farenheit 9-11". This is a very accurate documentary that puts things in perspective. Namely, Bush family has always been in very close relatiions with the Saudis in the realm of oil contracts, which have benefited the Bush family immensly. When Hussein built up military power, the Saudis became uneasy and felt threatened. 7% of Americas economy is owned by the Saudis. This is the reason for the initial and current intervention in Iraq, the Saudis felt threatened, and if the Saudis pulled all of their assests out of the US economy, it would cause another great depression paralleling that of the 1930s. Bin Laden became insanely jealous when the Saudis accepted help by the US against the Hussein threat, he thought he had the Saudis cornered into accepting his help, but the Bush govt thwarted his plans. He then planned a series of terrorist attacks against the US finally leading to the 9-11 attack, as an act of revenge for thwarting his plans to "save the Saudis" from Sadam Hussein. Bush family also had close relations with the Taliban, not long before 9-11, he invited Taliban leaders to his ranch in Texas. This is the reason why the response to 9-11 was minimal and pretty much "for show". They did not intend to ever catch Taliban leaders or Bin Laden, just make it look like they were doing something about the 9-11 attacks. All for show, nothing else.

A dictator created then destroyed by America
jumprunner replied to cumplidor's topic in Speakers Corner
The truth is out there, although many people in their arrogance and ignorance just dont seem to want to listen. Those are the ones who still support Bush, ignore the attrocities, and parade behind slogans like "Support Our Troops". And on that line, which is the worst attrocity commited in the context of pure propaganda, we are expected to go on a guilt trip because "Our Troops", who voluntarily joined the military (nope, they werent drafted), are in Iraq fighting for "Our Freedom". I still havent made the connection between "Our Freedom" and Sadam Hussein or Iraq. And to make matters even worse, we, big strong stocking men, able to fight our own battles, are put to shame by those middle aged women with three kids that are being deployed to Iraq to fight "our battles", making us all out to be a bunch of Tampacs who ought to be wearing the panties and high heels. So American men wear the panties, act like sissies, and cower at home while their women go to war to fight their battles. Makes you proud to be an American, doesnt it? Finally, I am sorry to all of the heroic veterans of real wars like Vietnam, Korea, WWII, and WWI who came back missing arms and legs, confined to wheelchairs for the rest of their lives, and the surgeons of those wars who bathed themselves in blood, amidst screams of agony, working around piles of amputated arms and legs of soldiers comming out of the meat grinder. Above all, you have been made a mockery of by the Bush administration and of all those who support him and are willing to call this boy scout jamboree in Iraq a war. America, this country, has been put to sleep by Bush administration propaganda. There was one time where we could be proud to be Americans, but the moral and social damage inflicted by the Bush administration is so great, that I dont think we will ever see those days again. The legacy of greed, selfishness, and low moral character has made what we once knew as America a thing of the past. -
Ha ha ha, LOL!!!! Bush die like a man? He still hasnt figured out how to live like one much less die like one. One other thing....he's not my president. He is a criminal who stole the office of the presidency by stuffing ballot boxes and manipulating elections. Most of his Repulican cohorts/ supporters in Congress have been ousted and replaced with Democrats. He will be gone soon, but not anywhere near soon enough. I look forward to seeing that coward behind bars one day.
-
You should care less, Sadam Hussein never did anything to you or anyone else in this country. I can see where the Iraqis might care, but then again, thats thier problem, and their business.
-
"publicly out the governments, companies, and people" I hate to rain on your parade, but the governments you are refering to would be the US, the companies would be US companies, and the people would be Americans. And I think youre right, they should publicly out the governments, companies, and people who made it possible for him to brutalize so many people and financially rape his country. Start with the Bush Administration and work your way down.

First, the flu, lasting more than two weeks. Then, strep throat followed by lower respiratory infection followed by a viscious cold. Completely ruined the holidays, been inside last three days. Dont know if this counts, but prior to the flu, got stingrayed for the first time in my life, and it hurt like a mother f*&%*#@er, barb went in my heel and out the top of my foot. What next?

Ive heard of that. They can occasionally go up rivers, even lakes adjoining rivers that reach the ocean. Try fishing in NorCal, maybe youll catch a bigger shark.

Just two words: Tai Chi. I have a friend who had severe back problems which he spent large amounts of money on at the Chiropractors. He then started taking Kung Fu and Tai Chi, back is totally recovered, no more pain, no more problems, and no more Chiropractors. I threw my back out from surfing a month ago, was barely able to move around, lower back was out completely. After lite Tai Chi over a few days, it was mostly gone and now completely gone. After that I got stingrayed, then got the flu, then strep, then a nasty cold. Itll be a while before I get in the water again. Tai Chi is over 1500 years old, back then people had back problems and there were no Chiropractors. Works much better than any backcracker Ive ever seen.

Very cool man. But you can get it for free in the Army, and be a WO while youre doing it.

Theyre showing the movie Cutaway on WGN, which is channel 3 on Time-Warner cable. I cant believe theyre even showing it on TV, I remember having to special order it a long time ago because video stores didnt carry it. Maybe everyone will see it and more people will want to go skydiving now. And then again, maybe everyone will see it and more people wont.
