  1. Got mine yesterday! It is bigger than a regular rebel but not as big as a 10d. It takes 4 shots in less than 2 sec and clears the buffer quickly for follow up shots. Cant wait to slap it on top of my optic for this weekend!
  2. Does anyone have any advice on "going digital"? The dropzone where I work is all film. They charge $80 for edited vid+stills. The DZ provides the film, blank VCR tape and the editing equipment. I get $35 and do the editing myself. The stills are considered "complementary" and are not guaranteed. I assume I could charge a premium for being able to guarantee the stills. What advice can anyone give on adding a digital component to the video/photo concession? Specifically Pricing, workflow, printing stills, burning to CDs, and how much money, if any should the DZ get.
  3. What is the latest on the attempts that were to be made by Michel Fournier and Ms Sterns?
  4. Why would the write time on the 300D be any different than the 10D? It has the same sensor and the same processor.
  5. I have an optic as well, it's a great helmet. You can just use a drill or a roto-tool such as a dremel. I would recomend the dremel because you can use the attachments to widen holes and to cut out different shaped holes. It is important to keep all of your electronics away from the dust that is created when you do this and to thourougly clean the helmet when you are done drilling, because the carbon fiber dust can reak havoc with circut boards. I would recomend that before you start to drill that you get everything lined up. I used a lot of gaffers tape to hold my dbox where I thougt it shoud be, slaped my pc9 in and had my girfriend look through the still cam and the video to get things lined up. Take your time, the optic is too nice of a helmet to fill with unnecessary holes.
  6. I'm looking for a video editing board with just a few basics. Audio/vidio fade in/out, and a few effects. I'm not looking to be the nest Spielberg, just want to make some nice skydive vids.
  7. Why can't I add fill flash without the shutter speed automaticly dropping to 1/90? What is the best way to add fill flash to eliminate shadows and brighten colors?
