  3. BASED ON THE WEATHER FORECAST WE ARE MOVING THE BBQ TO SATURDAY MAY 10TH... I AM SORRY FOR THIS - BUT WE FEEL OUR ALTERNATIVE LOCATION IS TOO SMALL. AS WELL IT WILL GIVE PEOPLE MORE TIME TO GET EVERYTHING TOGETHER. PLEASE LET EVERYONE KNOW ~Jeff
  4. Copied from Incidents: As we all know, bad new travels fast, and it is unbelievable sadness that on behalf of Skydive SWOOP in Ontario Canada, that I am here to report, that a good friend and skilled skydiver has succumbed to his injuries as a result of a hard landing suffered at approximately 9:30am this morning. After an uneventful hop'n'pop and initial canopy flight, Ahmed miscalculated his final decent to a crosswind landing, and heavily struck the grass landing area. Ahmed landed feet-knees-head which rendered him immediatley unconcious and unresponsive. Ahmed was a very likable person, and had an intense passion for many adventure sports. He has made many friends in the RW community in Canada and in the US, most recently at a bigway RW event in ZHills. We are all still extremely upset at this time, I'm sure other details will be forthcoming. Please no speculation or conjecture, Ahmed was never a fan of that. Ahmed, I miss you already. I can't believe I was there for your first... ...and I was there for your last. It's not right that you're gone. GB ********** There will be a Memorial BBQ at Skydive SWOOP Saturday May 3rd beginning at 6PM - jumping, dinner, campfire please let all your friends and Ahmed's friends know - I share all of Gary's views and this will be a huge impact on all that read this email. Blue Skies my ninja friend. ~Jeff

  7. I burn right out of aperture - I usually pick one or two of the best shots - crop them and adjust the levels for the customer. ~J.
  8. I give them their own online galleries that I update every few months.. Without them I wouldn't be photographing anyone.. Besides we are a club and what goes around - comes around. If I give them a nice picture - they are usually more willing to help me sell them to the next student! ~J.
  9. Tokina 10-17mm.. Has a fisheye "effect" but not quite fisheye.. ~Jeff
  10. Is that video camera in your picture straight? ~Jeff
  11. Agreeded the shots are nice! I use a Sigma 70 -200 2.8 and I have the canon 70 -200 f4.. (white glass and the price was right - sorry Dragon).. The sigma 2.8 will let you get the sunset shots that magazines were made for.. I am selling both and upgrading to the Canon 70 - 200 2.8 IS.. Only because at 200 they get a bit fuzzy.. ~Jeff.
  12. I shoot my tandems at 10 and my landings at 10 taped down.. I don't zoom at all. I suppose if they ever built a 10 prime I would buy it too! Here is a landing shot taken a 10MM.. Don't your tandem masters have any sort of accuracy? ~Jeff
  13. My fault.. I thought it was 22.. ~Jeff

  15. The second set with me in them is the Sigma 10 - 22.. The other guy at my DZ uses it.. Nice lens - not quite as fast as the Canon.. Canon - 3.5 and the Sigma is 4.0... That 8mm is SICK! But I hate the black edges... ~Jeff
  16. Sigma 10 - 22 1st pic is of me.. The other just a tandem! Thanks to Mark for the pics! ~Jeff
  17. Ok.. I've been watching too many of these threads.. Here are some photos.. The first 2 from a Canon 10 - 22 - Love this lens, it's big and heavy but it's sharp.. The rest of the pictures are from a Tokina 10 -17 which I just picked up and used this past weekend.. I love the curvy edges - it's lighter than the 10 - 22 BUT you can't put filters on it such as a polarizer.. :( The Canon 15MM is nice - I have it for my FF digital but I don't use that in FF.. ~Jeff
  18. Not getting the responses I thought I might! DSE - what do you think of the HDR-CX7? Thanks ~Jeff
