I agree that people should have comon sense enough to not need these kind of restirictions, However....each person on a smaller/higher performance canopy than they are experienced enough to handle that burns in or is injured in an accident that is publisized does more damage to this industry than any restrictions or mandatory training ever would. just my 2 cents "Sacrifice is a part of life. I agree, if you had "no fear", why was it a rush? I would like to know exactly what you meant by "no fear". Do you mean you were complacent, everything is wonderfull, or just not as nervous as most are their first time to skydive? If you were complacent on your first jump, no don't get into our sport, simply because complacency kills and I don't like reading the incident reports every month of another avoidable death. Longest - South of Houston, Tx to Big Timber, Mt. 27 1/2 hrs. almost 2000 miles. Nonstop and I drove all but 4 hrs, and I actually slept 30 minutes. Hardest - Jackson, Mississippi to Memphis, Tn to Claremore, Oklahoma to Poplar Bluff, Mo. - Left Jackson at 11:00pm arrived in Poplar Bluff at 3 pm the next day, alone, all that after 11 days of 3 hrs sleep per day average. That sucked. Most recent - Baton Rouge, La to College Station, Tx to Eloy, about 22 hrs but I didnt drive all of it. "Sacrifice is a part of life. It is supposed to be. I don't know why yall are complaining about old Huntsvegas, it was cool when I lived there, well the drunken blur memory I have of it was. And Don my friend, come to Aggieland before you say Waller is cooler, you may just change your opinion. I jump at both, I am on staff at Aggieland, and Both are great places. They way I read the article the parents should have their ass kicked for putting their child in a dangerous situation like that. Why intentionally endanger your child?
