Lou, I've read your posts up until now and you know... your whats known as a YES MAN. That means you go with the crowd. I havent responded to many of your posts for good reason, they make point that were brought up by other people. I DO NOT think I'm superior, I'm simply one of the few people that agrue the case from the other side, and I've had a lot to contend with. quite the stretch there lad, to even imply that I would conduct myself in a plane the same way I would on a forum.....one is a bit....er....riskier than the other, for you to even imply that is to put your foot way deep in the cheap shot cesspool. A couple points- the overwhelming number of people who replied clearly DON't know the diference between Northern and Southern California mentalities- they cite Rodney King as being a "California" thing when in fact it's tyipcal of SO CAL, not No Cal...FYI for those ignorant of the 30 million people in California there is the equivalent of a Mason Dixon line out here approximately 100miles south of San Fran.....the difference between the two parts of the state is roughly the difference between living in Toronto and Texas, so your ignorance is showing thru....at least YOU have some facts together on this because you understand the "bleeding heart" mentality of the NORTH.... Interesting Ben, Im not aware of such an incident, but I doubt highly if it went un challenged. its true it happens everywhere but the issue we're addressing is what was a reasonable amount of force to use in this situation. I've stated how I feel in no uncertain terms. The point I was trying to make about Northern Cali, which may not be clear, is that the people here are diverse, well educated and very active in politics. There is a definate attempt being made here to address the issues of police brutality. NO, it won't happen over night, but it's less unlikey to happen in this region because the general public will not stand for it or let it go unchecked. This one should not be a open shut case. but if the public let it, then it will be. Hope you don't get Banned!

Listen Jib... There are good cops and bad cops.... If this is what these guys do on camera, I shudder to think what the do off camera. I just want to see the right thing done in these situations. this video would not have gotten the Internet wide attention if had been routine; clearly this video is disturbing enough to have been isolated and released. The cold hard fact of the matter is follows: this would have NEVER happened in Seattel, San Francisco, or anywhere in Canada, i.e. anywhere where ENLIGHTENED law enforcement occurs. To say "they followed training" as if that somehow justifies it; I mean, so did concentration camp guards. That sort of inane thinking is the root of a bullshit corrupt system where "orders" must be obeyed at all times...no matter how wrong they are. Saywhat you will, if this case were not such an egregious and obvious violation of police norms this video wouldnot have gotten the hype that it has. All across America people are saying..."well, of COURSE it happned in Louisiana, what did you EXPECT from people down there?" because they realize how out of step this kind of action is with the norms of their OWN police departments.....an enlightened force could use non lethal methods such as spray, foam or even rubber bullets to subdue a "perceived" threat, but in the good ol' South where niggers are only fit to be hung from trees this is the only kind of justice they see fit to meet out, period. You know what, I find it rather bias that you tell me this has be proven. Who is the governing body that has proven it> Internal affairs.. district attorney, FBI??? which????? I doubt there was a public investigation, although i may be wrong... please feel free to correct me.But in my humble opinion, as a civilan any internal investigation of this nature is always rule in favour of the cops. It requires public outrage to get a outside body to investigate. It's unlikly this happened because of the location. And on how you feel about my saying my cop friends have viewed the video and thought it was completely out of order. I have no reason to lie, why would I? I'm very happy to back up my own arguments and I think your comparison is totally irrelevant I just have friends who can think on their feet and have a open mind and do not buckle under pressure, which I thought was a requirement for the police force.
