Goof Off is Zylene based, and nasty. I don't think it will cut silicone though, just the finish on the helmet. An eraser. Pencil eraser will do wonders. That and a a bit of citrus hand cleaner, with no grit. Might work. If it doesn't, just fly a ghetto helmet. That is all the rage anyway. ---------------------------- bzzzz

so Andy and Luke sucked? (Farrington, Aikens) What did they end up with? ---------------------------- bzzzz

Ok, Want a new idea to this discussion, pt 6 and jet engine aside. http://www.260se.com/features.html I think this mod will actually help. Reason being, since the nose is being lifted directly, by the canard, you don't have to use as much down force from the tail, to keep the nose up. Make sense? Results in a cleaner aircraft. ---------------------------- bzzzz

DiverDriver.com Skyvan update.

No expert here either but, I like planes. The Otters run Pt 6 turbines. The props are not actually connected to the turbines. You can almost hold on to the prop while the engine is starting, and you won't become blender fodder. The skyvan uses a different system where the prop is connected to the turbine, mechanically. Like a prop hung off a Cessna. I don't know why that is noisier, but it is. Just a totally different engine. Doesn't have much to do with how many blades the prop has. ---------------------------- bzzzz -

Libraries Warn of FBI Spying on Reading Habits

hmm. After Sep 11 I saw a billboard that read "Don't take our freedom for granted" I couldn't help thinking one way some apply that is to take away some of our freedoms in the guise of protecting it. It is a rather difficult problem to solve. No answers here. ---------------------------- bzzzz -
Great article. This bit in it Guess who? Dow, and one of our pilots in a 182. Sucks. Tell me how a guy in an aircraft can sit blocking a runway, videoing another plane on final, and then the plane on final get's violated? huh? In any other court, the video would have been evidence against Dow. I've met Lehman too. Not impressive as one that represents an organization that makes rules, enforces those rules then passes judgement based on those rules and whatever arbitrary whim that may hit them. I hope these articles, and the any other noise to the powers and people that be help. ---------------------------- bzzzz

Cool. Like that word Yah, what he said. With me, I couldn't go slow enough, until I learned to Daffy. It is odd at first, but in time, it becomes more natural. It is also more comfortable, and easier to get more 'stuff' into the wind, to slow down. keep working on it and have fun. ---------------------------- bzzzz

Just gotta say. I saw the video today. Funnier than hell. 'oops, sorry about tearing off your gutter and landing on your hood of your car...' Haven't based yet, but there are some bad ass exit points up here. Pointy mountains and all. ---------------------------- bzzzz

Bummer you sold the Xaos man. It is a different ballgame. But if you like the canopy flight, and swoopishness, it is cooler than cool. But, on that beotch, once a little x brace is open, only thing you think about, is landing. It comes down. I like to hang in the sky too. But once you yank a front riser, I love the vertical view. Sweet. Oh, They are the most efficient wings out there too. That says a lot to me. I floated big time on some dude with a 170 sabre the other day. Efficiency is cool. ---------------------------- bzzzz
