  1. Is that Greg flying, or does he know someone is flying his plane like that?
  2. Watching back to back to back.... otters on the Perris "Loading Cam" (at 8AM!) while I am NOT there! Oh the pain! Play safley boys & girls, wish I was there!
  3. I was playing golf the other day & looked up to see your boys/girls from the 129th getting a free ride to altitude in a C-130. It put a smile on my face remembering all of the times I used to tell my golf buddies that I knew "one" of those guys jumping out, knowing that you were one of them! Peace my friend
  4. We have done this type of jump many times before. The first thing I/we do is call the DZ with a status immediately after landing. If this does nothing else, it saves bandwidth on DZ.COM
  5. So you are saying you didn't jump this past weekend.......
  6. I thought it was going to be exciting! The last "good" one I saw was in Hollister in 2000 (ish), you had to watch fast, becasue the plane clipped the end cell of Chance's Stiletto tearing it, but he was able to land it. But I guess that would not fall under the "near miss" heading. I say we carry paint guns & start peppering the widshileds as they fly by!
  7. http://www.timmyd.ca/photos.php?id=329 Thanks for shareing Melissa!!!!
  8. I gots a Hi-8 on top of an old motor bike hemut. I aint never jumped with it, but fer $45 plus my slot & one fer my girl, I'll shot-cha. Steve
  9. Congrats! Jay was at my course at Skydive Monterey Bay, back when we were called JMs..... if we survived! Good guy, I never did any eval jumps with him though, only a few practice jumps. As I recall, he spun like a top and never stopped, so I never let him go past level 4! Steve
  10. Find yourself a padded room to live in without a computer. When you prove to the doctors that you should not stay in that room, come out and try again! Until then, keep your stupid thoughts to yourself!
  11. Just a story from experience, take what you want from it. I heard a former student of mine (about 2-3 weeks from graduating AFF ~ 30 jumps) bought a high performance canopy ~1.5:1). I told him he should not fly that canopy until he learns how to & it should stay on the ground until then. I told the DZO about it & they would not let him jump it at their DZ. He took it to another DZ and his memorial jump was the next week. "but honestly WTF??!?! how long does this have to go on? It's killing me... " YES IT CAN! BSBD Steve AFF/I
  12. That is common practice. The tandem master wants your chin up on exit. Glad you had fun!
  13. Cool, thanks for the feedback. I ordered my TOny suit with swoop chords, can't remember if I asked for "wings" (but I ASS-U-MEd it would have them). I came with the chords, but not really any wings. I am looking for a suit for small AFF students (don't really want to fly a camera suit though). Thanks again Steve
  14. My Tony swoop suit is just about done & it's time for another. I am considering a Bev since I was not too happy with the slow end of the Tony. Has anyone had both a Tony and a Bev?? I am 6' 200+gear out the door. Thanks Steve
  15. Zimmer has got as much fire in his gut as the rest of them, just not the age or body to back it up. Thos in the "know" have no problem with either involved. On another note, I think the AL should get rid of the DH, so cocky pricks like Martinez & Clemmens have to FACE 90+ MPH fast balls at their head, back etc. That would cure both of them of their occasional "control" problems. Thoughts? Steve
  16. Blue Skies Roger ..... Say hello to our frineds R & M ...... PEACE my friends
