My new Mindwarp decided to leave me when I pulled on my second jump w/ it yesterday. Thankfully found it right next to a cornfield as I was driving/ looking. I was a little disturbed to see the chin strap had slipped out of the buckle. I checked and double checked before boarding and on board the plane. Anybody heard of a similar problem?

Headed to the memorial for Patrick Maher, a Federal Way, WA police officer, who was shot and killed last week in the line of duty during a domestic violence incident. His family can use all the support they can get.

'93 Yamaha FZR600. Must agree with the others here on taking a MSF course. It's invaluable. Stick with a half-liter bike until you have some good experience.

Ahhhh....the privatization of the EMS system! Not always a good thing. Good luck on testing w/ public service. Tread lightly w/ the OSHA and other issues. If you're serious about it, get an attorney. Let them lead.

Hey everyone! Hope everybody's weekend rocked. Did my first 10 sec. delay ysterday. Wish I could say it was perfect! Left the aircraft w/ a step exit (no more hanging), proceeded to roll onto my back, corrected, went unstable again, arched hard (not easy when laughing your ass off), stable, and pulled. That had to be the most fun I've had yet in my training. Didn't stop there. I was supposed to PLF on this jump, but when I flared, I had a nice surf going and spaced it a bit. When I remembered the PLF...well I managed an hilarious improv! What a sport! Even f***ups are fun! Blue skies, Kev

Life sucks! This guy should have been a little bit smarter (cops!). Most fire and police agencies require a six month to one year probationary period upon hire. During this period of time the employer has incredible latitude as to cause for termination. This guy is not likely able to complete his required field training due to the injury and unfortunately he'll probably lose the job permanently. When I was hired by the FD, I had to give up skiing and motorcycle riding until my probation was over. I feel for the guy, but he should have been a bit more thoughtful.

Sorry to hear that, dude. I recently started jumping and even more recently began a relationship with an incredible gal. We had the "talk" last night. I told her that if there were any reservations about me skydiving, tell me now. I think she understands about as much as a whuffo could be expected to. She'll go to the DZ w/ me but there is no way in hell I'll get her into the plane! I know I won't be able to jump as much as w/o her, but I'm willing to pay the price. Did she give you any indication it was the skydiving? Is it worth salvaging?
