  1. I get pretty sore from jumping if I'm not jumping regularly. I think you have to get your body into "Jumping Shape." I don't skydive for a living but I'd guess those who do jump everyday their bodies get use to the jump activity. I attribute some soreness to the arching and the openings, but a fair amount of it can be blamed on my poor posture while I'm packing and just being out of shape. Student canopies don't always open the softest as in your case probably. I'd have to agree, Ibuprofen and beer Is the way to go!! JM
  2. Thanks for the info folks!! JM
  3. I was wondering if anyone knows how to get a hold of a Cazer Loft pilot chute? I'd like to get one straight from the manufacturer or a dealer if necessary. I had one a while back and was impressed with the quality and function. Blue Skies, JM

  7. I know alot of people traveling up on wed. Does anyone know if they will fly loads that afternoon/evening? I hear the official start of jumping was Thursday. See you all there!!!
  8. When I was a kid we use to have an old military parachute hanging in a shed to keep sparrows from shitting all over stuff. We would cut out pieces from it and tie some twine weighted down by some rocks or army men to them and throw them off the top of a hay stack......... Some years later in college I was standing around a keg getting drunk while someone described a malfunction he had had on a recent jump. That sparked my interest but I was unable to make it to a class because my idiot roomate bounced a check to the phone company. I Bucked up to get the phone turned back on instead of jumping........ I ended up quitting that school and tranferred to a school that also happened to have a jump club(Kansas State). I came up with the jump money($85 in 1987) and the rest is history. JM
