As recently as this week.

In heavily red Cochise County, AZ officials are refusing to certify the election, crying about the top seats (governor, sec of state, AG) going D in close races. They aren't saying that anything is wrong in their county -- just that they have heard things they don't like about other counties (Maricopa in particular). If they don't certify by next week, the Cochise County votes will not be included in the statewide tabulation. If that happens, a US Representative seat will flip from R to D, along with a state schools chief. Then we will really see some crying. Can you imagine being that R candidate, having won, and some dipshits cause some of your votes not to count? https://apnews.com/article/arizona-deadline-2022-midterms-certification-d6a1ea4020c26313a3124931c14b79fb

Legal strategy for Colorado Springs shooter

I don't think that someone cannot commit a hate crime against their own "group," especially if being in that group causes them to feel guilt or anguish or depression or self hatred. -
The Department of Justice has requested Mike Pence to testify. "Ah, to be a fly on Pence's head during questioning" -- credit YouTube comment.

I would expect that he likely did that out of ignorance/oversight. Or he just thought there would be no consequence enforced. Not like Mark Meadows, who certainly knew that he was committing voter fraud (and expected no consequence).

The Republicans should be forced to carry Trump to term, even if it threatens the life of the Republican Party.

Herschel Walker keeps it coming:

Another one gets convicted. Found guilty on two felonies, with jury hung on more -- most importantly they were split on the interference with Congress charge which carries a 20 year maximum sentence. Immediately remanded to custody (she probably thought she would be walking out free); sentencing to follow in a few months. No word on whether the JD will re-try for the charges with split verdicts. My guess is that they will not, or maybe it will depend on what sentence gets handed out for the existing guilty convictions. https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/defendants/williams-riley-june

Thanks for the reminder. We got the booster on September 14, but have been waiting on the flu vaccine, so that it should last through the season.

Yeah, that's what my brother (Atlanta lawyer) says. But I say that it may also be that Democrats don't bother to turn out for the runoff election. Even for the general election, just under 50% of the registered voters in Georgia bothered to vote. They need that extra D senator, since Fox "News" tells us that Fetterman will not live long.

Ah, yes, the Church of the Repeated Ascension, where I gladly tithed year after year.

BTW, that Fox post blaming Trump was on Truth Social.

They aren't pulling the trigger yet, but they are getting into position to do so. Even Fox "News" is maneuvering to do so:

Now 50.36% to 49.63% -- looks like it is headed for a recount.

She had a busy 43 days. She buried the Queen, the pound and her political party.
