Hey dude, I do this for security reasons. I go to the gym when it is dark and I am not walking far to my car in the dark afterwards in a deserted parking area! Unless you are a man in front of me. Then leave them off and don't complain when you get treated like a piece of meat and abused for hours! All the guys at my gym came to a grinding halt to watch this chick smack the punching bag, and laughed nervously. I was still doing crunches, so I had to follow up the performance. Quite intimidating for them. If only they knew that sexual frustration was being relieved by the chick beating the crap out of the bag... You have breathed in and you need to breathe out! You are basiccaly holding your breathe and when you try breathe in there is no more space in your lungs. We find it with tandem passengers. So in the plane on the way to altitude do some breathing in and out, in through your nose and out through your mouth. If anything, try scream in freefall, or laugh, or smile. Hi, Glad you are back in the sport. It is not a disrespect thing to continue jumping once there has been an accident. It is not a moral thing at all. You can normally stop if there are safety issues (Wind, medivac etc) People do this sport because it is their passion, their life and there are accidents that happen. I would love my family to say one day that I died doing what I loved. And I would expect my friends to be back in the sky in my memory. No use moping around. Go do what you love! (Oh, and they better be singing in the plane on the way to altitude!) I think true friendship is under-rated Twitter: @Dreamskygirlsa

Yes, but you know we think the world revolves around us. Really?? You think?? I think true friendship is under-rated Twitter: @Dreamskygirlsa

mmm, I don't think you have failed! It was not your decision. I would make copies and post them on the board and ask the entire class to grade them all. They will pick it up too, so it was not a teacher accusation. They will need to grade themselves and their mates, so they will be sure embarrassed and all their class mates will know that they cheated. In my opinion, public humility will work better than a Fail. They won't do that again in a hurry. Offer the opportunity to take another test in class as a make good. Sorry, did not get a copy, will be in the SA edition of the Feb issue of FHM. BTW, it is only Thanksgiving in America. Nobody else in the world celebrates it. So it was just a general weekend for the rest of the planet! I think true friendship is under-rated Twitter: @Dreamskygirlsa

Going from 190 main to 150 main
Beverly replied to Stomusky's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
We have a rule that you need a 100 jumps before you can jump something smaller than a 170 or a wingloading of 1.0 or higher. We have seen students really hurt themselves as they get alot of courage early on and make big mistakes. I went onto a 150 at 45 jumps (Before the new rules) and I did not have the best landings, although I was a very conservative canopy pilot. I realised that I was sold a dud 150. It was old and had no flare. If you can get a really nice 150, (Newish Sabre, pilot etc) and you are really prepared to take it slow for the next few hundred jumps, then cool. As a small person, a larger canopy might be a hinderence to landings. I landed backwards for most of my student life, due to not being able to penetrate the wind on the bigger canopies. If you can get to jump a 170 a few times, rent or borrow one you will get a better idea of the flying characteristics. Just please don't do radical turns close to the ground. Do a high set up for landing and watch for other traffic in the sky. Be careful and gentle and you can try to ensure no broken bones. It does not look cool when you are on in the back of an ambulance! Don't just look for the destination, enjoy the RIDE! I think true friendship is under-rated Twitter: @Dreamskygirlsa -
Don Cheadle My sister taught his son while they were in SA filming new movie (3 degrees) Brad Pitt The brother of a friend of my sisters worked in the hotel he stayed in with Jennifer on his first visit to South Africa. (4 degrees) Oprah Winfrey I had breakfast with her at a function in South Africa. (1 Degree) This is too easy and they are all foreigners. If anyone can link me to Colin Farrell I would be forever grateful! I think true friendship is under-rated Twitter: @Dreamskygirlsa

Instructors tend to become more complacent about their checks which leads to accidents. I have on occassion gotten into the plane not fully kitted up after running to put on a back to back rig. I ensure that everything is done just after a 1000 ft, so I don't disrupt the take off. I am not comfy with it, or happy for that matter. I would rather the plane wait for me to get on board completely done up. tick tock tick tock The problem is that students do copy the senior jumpers and they want to look cool, not fastening things up properly. We have a Helmets on or secured to chest strap for take off to 1000ft rule and everyone has to comply. I have called jumpers back to fasten chest straps etc before they walk to boarding point and make an issue out of it. They cannot get complacent on 15 jumps. getting jump number up. how often do you jump?
Beverly replied to arai's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Hokay!! Stop right there Mr! It was mentioned here, but it is not all about the jump numbers. If you are going to be at the DZ all weekend, try learn something. For Wingsuites, formation skydiving and body flight is really important. Try getting a few mates together and do some 2 way, 4 way and 8 way on weekends and learn to fly better. Swooping to people, de-arching and stability is really important. It does not help your cause to do hop and pops if by the time you can put a wing suit on you are not capable of flying it. Canopy opening and flying is very important! I am at a weekend DZ every weekend and do around 40 jumps a month (Well try to) That is 5 good quality jumps per day. Enjoy the ride, don't miss the scenery to get to the destination!! I think true friendship is under-rated Twitter: @Dreamskygirlsa -
Do you have nice smelling shower gel and cute back scrubbers and plastic ducks to play with in the shower? I want a white fluffy towel please and towling slippers. Oh and best you just have a loin cloth on Mr, I don't want you getting all your clothes wet all the time when you come to wash my hair! If you are planning webcams for shower hour, I want a percentage of the profits from the pay per view!! I think true friendship is under-rated Twitter: @Dreamskygirlsa

Don't see them, but feel them. Have walked into homes and sensed them there and found out later that other people have sensed or seen them. Very eerie. I tend to freak out my sisters when it happens though. I would love to learn to channel that more, but I am a bit scared. I have heard that women have more psychic powers than men do, any truth in that? I think true friendship is under-rated Twitter: @Dreamskygirlsa

:10:0 I managed to do my first ever 3 way head down exit out of the porter, albeit an illegal one, as I am not freefly rated. The guys did a great job keeping me stable. Drinks were bought, but no official beers. 1 Freefly, A whole bunch of FS coaching, FS Eight ways, junior FS 4 ways with some newbies, FS category tests, one land with the plane for bad storm hitting. Cool weekend. I think true friendship is under-rated Twitter: @Dreamskygirlsa
