  2. Hey everyone im doing a school project and desperately need your help. I want to know what you drink out of these three choices. There is not other because I need to know what you would purchase if you only had these three choices Thanks again for your help Peace N Blue Skies Sean Sean In Thailand
  3. I would have to agree.. unless you have a gigantic customer base its not worth trying to run the business... if you get .001 percent of the market share your doing good, the competition is insane. Unless it is local and you get to know your clients personally then you might get enough of the right kind of business. Well Gl Peace Sean Sean In Thailand
  4. I am curious how people can be angry, I think if you skydive you should understand the inherent risk of the sport and accept it. To be angry would to not accept the fact that you got unlucky or you made the wrong decisions. I can see how you might get angry if it was your fault, but other than that there is nothing else to blame, that risk was taken and you lost. I guess I see it as you are angry at yourself for doing it, and if that is the case then you shouldn't be skydiving. Just my .02 I could be misunderstanding it... oh yeah I agree with you guys If I bounced I would be doing something that I loved and I think that is best way to die. Peace N Blue Skies And NO BOUNCING PLEASE! Sean Sean In Thailand

  6. I agree with all of you and actively participate in my own share of chivalrous things. But this time im not gonna join the bandwagon and add to this circle jerk session and pose a few questions. I think chivalry is a contradiction to the modern woman. I am talking about women who want equal rights and not special rights. The situation I am thinking of is... yes its dumb.. Titanic.. When the few boats are loaded with women and children. I consider this a chivalrous act. If I am wrong please just yell at me!! The question then is a woman life worth more than a mans life and if women want equal rights then the have the equal right to die. I really haven't come to any conclusions about these issues but what do you guys think? am I stretching here... BTW I am playing the devils advocate for the sake of debate and because I am curious of what you think. Peace Edited: I edited this because I reread it and I sound like an ass. I do those things for personal reasons... because thats the way I was raised and because it makes me feel good to treat women with the highest level of respect. I guess what I was trying to at was for those who do not like when a man deos that for you, why? Jval made an excellent point that I just now thought of, He holds doors for everyone.. and shows his respect for everyone I admire that and think that is a good way to be. ok.. big enough edit Sean Sean In Thailand
  7. Lol im sorry.. my 2nd one on the top is The Beach... yeah that movie that flopped with leo dicaprio. My last was 12 monkies one of my all time favorite movies. 8. I am going to have to agree with you here, From watching the video.. which btw I saw the none-edited version and what I have read. I think these well atleast the final iraqi was killed illegally. One point I wanted to bring up is... they could have sent ground troops to help the wounded and keep as a POW. It seemed to me that it was just "easier" to kill him. They were in no direct threat and "taking too long to arrive" was obviously not an issue as the man was not going anywhere. I question all the killing as explained earlier it is my right and my duty to review all the facts. I just dont see how this man was a threat... Maybe somebody could explain it. Pleasent or Unpleasent the experience of traveling is what it's all about." Maybe somebody will solve em. I bet somebody will google em.. The second will be harder. =D Peace n gl Sean Sean In Thailand

  12. Its easy to dismiss it as "Just being an article" and someone that studyed this for a decade is wrong on the mere fact that you have a billion jumps and dont feel that way. I am humble, but I think there is some truth to the article. And I dont think skydiving is the only sport in which this applies, it is all risky sports. I dont think this is the only article out there saying that same thing. I dont think this is some evangelist either trying to prove a point. Sean Sean In Thailand
  13. No you are the one who is wrong Infact Skydivers have a larger sex drive Read Risky Business Research suggests that confirmed risk-takers are biologically different from the rest of us. In fact, they’re distinctive personality types and genetically predisposed to crave novelty, adventure and the intense stimulus that comes from living on the edge. The next time you’re amazed by a stunt, such as a solitary sail across the Atlantic or a stubborn attempt to conquer the world in a balloon, consider that the boy — thrill seekers are mostly male — can’t help it. He may even have been born that way. “The sensation-seeking trait is the first of the normal personality traits for which genetic markers have been found. High sensation seekers, HSS, have a dopamine receptor gene variant that diminishes their capacity to feel pleasure; thus they take various sorts of risks to do so. They tend to assess risks differently and take more risks. Low sensation seekers (LSS) are risk-avoidant. LSS have a dopamine transporter gene variant that leaves too much dopamine in synapses, a constant state of overstimulation,” says Dr. Keith Johnsgard, a professor of clinical and sports psychology at San Jose State University. By analyzing blood chemistry, researchers have discovered that HSS typically show lower levels of monoamine oxidase (MAO), an enzyme that manages chemicals associated with pleasure and arousal. The resulting lack of control manifests both positively and negatively as sensation-seekers seek to gratify their need for excitement in various ways – including extreme sports and adventure, intellectual challenge and discovery, uninhibited social behavior, and the habitual pursuit of change as a method of countering a low boredom threshold. And it may be like father like son. “While normal personality traits average about 50 per cent genetic predisposition, the SS trait is between 60 and 70 per cent a product of genetics. It’s therefore familial,” says Dr. Johnsgard, whose book Conquering Depression and Anxiety through Exercise will be released in the spring (available at Amazon.com). Women have higher levels of MAO than men do and MAO is known to increase as we age, which may help explain why young adolescent males awash in testosterone are the greatest risk-takers. Sixteen to 19-year-old boys exhibit double the affinity for sensation seeking compared to their considerably mellowed 50-year-old counterparts. “I spent a decade studying the personalities of HSS – more than 400 amateur and professional racecar drivers and 50 world-class parachutists. These are normal men and women; however, they have a common unique personality profile. In comparison to most of us, they have a high drive to be best and dominate. They’re tough-minded and unsentimental, often more detached and cool, less troubled by guilt and anxiety, fiercely independent and are non-joiners or non-conformists. They don’t like to be told what to do, are more assertive, more exhibitionistic, have a higher sex drive and are more creative,” says Dr. Johnsgard, who is careful to note that these characteristics are reflective of difference and not pathology. High-Sensation Seekers Are Different from the Rest of Us: They tend to minimize risk when evaluating situations and experience less anxiety. Have a higher tolerance for pain Enjoy more colorful dreams Have a facility for assimilating figures and symbols faster Are generally more permissive sexually Possess higher levels of testosterone, estrogen and estradiol, an estrogenic hormone According to Dr. Johnsgard, the profiles of racecar drivers, parachutists, fighter pilots and pilots in general aviation are very similar and very different from men and women who engage in team sports. “Female HSS profiles are virtually identical to those of men,” he says. “They are most like HSS men, next most like men in general and least like women. They’re tomboys from birth.” So what do you do if someone you love is determined to jump from tall buildings in a single bound? Sit tight and cross your fingers, advises Dr. Johnsgard. “You don’t change HSS. You just wait for them to grow older.” http://leisurefitness.fitdv.com/new/articles/article.html?artid=285 Sean Sean In Thailand
  14. "Sam Ketterling has recently petitioned the court to have a local surgeon cut off his left hand although there is no physical reason to do so. In 1908 a German neurologist discovered a disorder called Alien Hand Syndrome whereby a person loses control of one's hand. Ketterling said in court papers that his hand was trying "to kill him" and that it was only because his right hand was stronger that he could rest the left hand away from his throat. The court denied Ketterling's request after acknowledging this rare condition. " http://www.some-guy.com/facts.shtml Might make skydiving a bit difficult as well. ha =D Sean Sean In Thailand
