How far have you driven to a boogie
pa2themd replied to pa2themd's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
We drove 2100.00 km one way so 4200km return through two countries to get to the Desert Boogie in Namibia Southern Africa and boy was it worth it! I am interested to know how far you have driven. Flying is very expensive R 4500.00 for a return ticket (USD 900.00) where as driving cost us R 1000.00 (USD 110.00) I would recommend this boogie to any one especially those experiencing Winter in the Norhtern Hemisphere. The weather is great, the people even better, the jumps are wicked and the country is very beautiful and not expensive at all!! If you would like more infor on the boogie which will be held in December 2005, you are welcome to PM me -
Yip, 35 degrees celcius here, bit chilly don't you think "Most of us can read the writing on the wall; we just assume it's addressed to someone else!" Ivern Ball

You like her, don't you? I think you should buy her a house. Or, you could date her. Then marry her, stop skydiving and buy her a house. Or you could leave now, with your soul intact, your dreams alive and a future in the sky still possible. What do we teach our students about hazards that could hurt us, cripple us, end our skydiving forever? "Look away, steer away." t well said! Watch your heart sweet thing!!! A brilliant South African Band called "Wonderboom" which directly translated means "Wonder Tree". The lead guitarist skydives at our club! Brilliant! They came second, last weekend at the National Battle of the Bands competition held in London!!!!

Hey there, so true guys, South Africa is the land of opportunity! Where else in the world can you find large open spaces, homes that actually have a garden and when driving to work, all I see is trees, trees, trees. We are so lucky to live in this country and like T and Peej said, you need to keep alert in any big city!! Come visit us, experience true South African Hospitality! Blue skies always Sheri "Most of us can read the writing on the wall; we just assume it's addressed to someone else!" Ivern Ball

I have to agree with Amazon, however it would be nice to have someone special! Being single can be AWESOME and lonely! Wouldn't mind a snuggle partner who can do some wicked skydives with me! "Most of us can read the writing on the wall; we just assume it's addressed to someone else!" Ivern Ball

it's just a misinterpretation. Weight is expressed in Newton... But in the common use of language people use it as weight Not just a pretty face huh? "Most of us can read the writing on the wall; we just assume it's addressed to someone else!" Ivern Ball

Hi Guys, I was just wondering how your DZ handles assault whether it be self defense or straight forward assualt. Do you have different degrees of punishment for different outcomes i.e - just a punch up, breaking bones or assualting someone with a bottle or something else. I am interested to know how this type of incident is handled in other DZ's. Blue skies Sheri "Most of us can read the writing on the wall; we just assume it's addressed to someone else!" Ivern Ball
