Anybody 60+ ever compete or win a medal in 4-way?
midgetdivet replied to elightle's topic in Skydiving History & Trivia
Dan Pillasch actively competes and has done pretty well for himself for decades. We were teammates in 2010. Plus he has one sexy moustache... --gary -
OMG Ian, remember that video! It was hilarious. The description is so apt, but you can't truly understand until you actually see it. --gary

for some reason, i thought nate had named a variant of a jesus string after gary --gary

howard, you can probably confirm/deny this. isn't gary one of the few skydivers to have a piece of equipment actually named after him? --gary
-
Unfortunately not likely Misch, it wasn't on our schedule. Good to see you this weekend though! --gary

Is Type I nylon sufficient to replace a main PC kill line? --gary

looking for a 4way team to film for Nationals
midgetdivet replied to linestretch's topic in Relative Work
No, but Julie will (jumping with Kensho SL aka Satori Lite heh). We're off until our next camp next week. We miss ya Gordo, see you at SSL6 or definitely Nationals! --gary -

I can't really say the smell has gone away. Of course I did make JJ gag on the camera step and in freefall. JJ was my video teammate for two years. Come to think of it, Gordo filmed me for a year (well most of one) too. Of course he was two-timing... What up man, I thought I was going to see you 2 weeks ago when you were up north? --gary -
for us swoopers here in the great northwest
midgetdivet replied to superstu's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
No, I've been travelling since October so I haven't had much chance to keep up with what's going on in mo-town over the winter. You can probably email him or post a msg to the SDO site. --gary -

Zaz is putting something together (closer to Eloy's club than Deland's) at Molalla. http://www.skydiveoregon.com/index.asp?c=2&start=10 --gary -
Sorry to inform you Trigger, but you going down.... --gary

In defense of the dropzone in question: 1. I have been at a dropzone recently where people wandered into the path of incoming aircraft while they are taxiing up the runway. It's not a pretty sight and without knowing you I can still say I would never wish it upon you. I honestly think it was just for your safety and of those around you. 2. While Grumpy was probably a little out of line (or just naturally Grumpy), I think you might be projecting a bit too much onto Huey Luey Duey and the girl. One, because I'm on a 4 way team with some of those guys and know their personalities pretty well. Second, you may have had a great chance to get their perspective at the chimney and had a few beers with them 3. The PST is here right now, so we'll see if there's a large population of skydivers who think highly or otherwise of SDO. --gary
