The Taliban had already broke some of the terms of the previous agreement. In doing so leaving it open for Biden to change the way things are going to go. (Which Biden could do anyway) So enough already with everything is Trumps fault, how about looking at the guy thats there now and has the power to change things for the better.

It just gets so old to keep hearing y'all say this. Biden has been in there for plenty long enough to change things. He already changed a lot of what Trump did just by executive orders. So NOW it all falls on Biden.

It's called leave no one behind. I applaud the commanders that made that decision! And we still have an unknown number of US citizens stranded behind enemy lines.

I'm not back in the air yet-close! I finally got the second knee done 3 1/2 months ago. I've been going to every store that carries knee protection trying them on. Motocross pads are just too restricting for mobility. Mountain biking pads for XC and downhill are perfect protection- found the POC Joint VPD 2.0 Knee pads. I figure I need to protect the new knees from PLFs, banging on the door exits etc. not just packing. Plan on using the pads for mountain biking, and everything else too. Gotta make the new knees last till I kick the bucket! Take a look at them-REI usually has some in stock to try on. Hope this helps other folk dealing with this too!

Hi DaveL, I'm sure others will add their updates also. Ortho surgeries are still playing catch up on schedules here. I got back on the wait list within a month and a half of my first knee and I'm just now 9 weeks out from the second(right) knee, and that was taking a cancellation. It's been 9 months since the left knee. The left knee is doing fine; 0 to 135degrees, no pain. But it is stiff every morning still and takes a few minutes of bending it to get going. It will also stiffen up if standing too long. If I keep moving then it works great. The right knee that's 9 weeks out has been a lot more painful and a bit slower-still at 0 to 125degrees. So at the rate things are going I figure it's going to be another 3 to 4 months before I can get back in the air. With the way the first knee is doing I don't anticipate any problems skydiving again. Now the way you describe your base landings that sure sounds like a no way again, but skydiving sure.

I just read the letter in Parachutist criticising USPA for saying anything about a gray area when it comes to harassment on the DZ. Since there's a lot of other old farts here that remember the past I'd like to hear thoughts on it. When it comes to staff, especially TIs and other instructors then yes, a strict no harassment policy would be best. But what about the rest of the jumpers? I remember lingerie jumps, naked jumps and just jokes around the bonfire after too many beers...... So would they want a rating holder (pilot) on a lingerie jump disciplined because someone was offended by it? I've seen folk (just other jumpers) on the DZ tell someone to chill out with profanity etc. because there's families/kids around so I think we've mostly self controlled the public behavior that hits inappropriate. But does everyone now have to stop and edit what they say to their friends on the DZ in case someone else might be offended by it? WTF? Thoughts?

Hi everyone! It's been a little over 4 weeks now. I went home the same day on crutches. I admit I underestimated this. I thought it would be like just another broken bone. Of course it didn't help that I had adverse reaction to a med(Mobic)-first week and a half until half the nights on the toilet with both ends blowin out at once-that sucked! It still hurts-hard to sleep. PT measured me at 126 degrees flexion and almost 0 degrees extension this week. I'm happy with that progress, but that 126 degrees is with a lot of pain to get it there. Any ideas on when I can expect to attain max flexion with easy pain free effort? I realize everyone's different but it would help me find realistic goals. Also how is it to kneel down for repacking your main? Thanks for all the help!

Now I remember why I left SC before. There is no neutral exchange of ideas. I may think differently than other people, but I would like to know why we have opposing views. And that's meant in a trying to see/meet at common ground way. BTW Billvon, I do appreciate your response. I've never been much on taking things at face value and I will dig into videos posted more. Wither on the news or otherwise. Just one question to ponder-who unfriends people that have opposing views? Would you not get on a jump with them because of it? Not have a beer with them at beer light? Later, I'm out of here. Carry on with your vitriol.

I hope you're just trolling. Because if you truly believe what you wrote you're a prime example of the rabid people, and there are rabid people on both sides of the isle. Those videos have been in the news, not in a "dark corner of the alt right internet. Folk with genuine thoughts on the subject I would like to hear from. I guess I'm disappointed that everything in here seems to twist into polarized political crap.

We can leave out swerving lanes to mention Trump.... What makes me go WTH is when people are "talked into" kneeling down and apologizing for being white. I've seen it happen on videos and would really like to know the circumstances. Who what when where why? Is Robin Diangelo's book being used as a "script" by people out there? Comes off as "cultish" to me.

I finally got a surgery date after 4 months on the wait list -Oct 27, YEA! They originally said it could be 6 to 9 months wait list so I'm not complaining. And yup gonna rehab the hell out of it. I've been able to keep mountain biking 5 to 6 miles a few days a week up until the last 2 months when it started hurting too damn much. They wouldn't do them both at once so I have to wait at least 3 months before they'll do the second one. I can't wait to get back in the air! Thanks for all the responses here!

yup, which just goes to show that dirty cops do go down. And the percentage that go down because the cop working next to them wouldn't put up with their bs isn't kept track of-they are just fired by their department/prosecuted done deal. So the earlier statement that all cops cover up is still a crock. And you know this how??? What a crock. The cops that know how to try and de-escalate a situation (the majority btw) can't stand that ones that want to stir things up and will do what's necessary- it ends up making their jobs a bit easier. For everyone that wants to monday morning quarterback uof incidents I'd love to put you thru the shoot/don't shoot trainers.

If the victim was 14 and the guy 24 it would be filed as a felony and registration required. When she was 16 and 17 it would be a wobbler. eg.if she was mentally compromised then would still file felony. So yes it has changed, thats why they are changing the current law. There are already so many that got their case plead down so they're not even on the public database. And for anyone that wants to defend this BS Id really like to see your reaction if it was your daughter.

Please tell me that no one here agrees that a up to 24 year old guy having "consensual" sex with your 14 year old daughter should not be convicted of a felony and be required to register as a sex offender for life! And how could you consider a 14 year to "give" consent to begin with never mind when she's no doubt been groomed by the guy for a year or more before that.

Well that's not the way I see it. I would bet that everyone in here, even with opposite views would get along fine at the DZ buying each other a beer when the beer light comes on and when in person be able to have civil conversations about anything. It seems on the internet is when the vitriol comes out.
