  1. Were you deploying in full flight? Arching?
  2. If you're deploying in full flight (base) then yes. However for skydiving I havn't changed it. I do not deploy in full flight-just curl up a bit and duck my head down a bit and it clears off my back just fine. I changed to that after I felt the d-bag bounce off my heels.
  3. I do a bit of everything except CRW. and admit FF is my weak area, but so long as I'm in the air I'm happy. If you want to break the ice with the "Freeflyers" if you've got a solid 4 way(or 2 way even) belly group walk over and ask to do a hybrid with them. Turn points with hangers/stingers. Hybrids rock!
  4. Again-if it was stolen I would not want to tip off the seller; as in a previous post stolen gear has been recognized and recovered due to this site. Sure has been thread drift........ The ad caught my eye as "off"-wasn't sure and posted here for feedback to see if it was recognized. It was near me- if someone said it was theirs/stolen and could forward a report taken on it I would have been more than happy to help. BTW that offer stands! I would consider it just giving a little back to the sport if I was ever able to help someone recover their gear. I'm a LEO so do have some resources to offer. Blue skies!
  5. We just need to reroute more cases from the DA to Dexter..............
  6. You just have to find the rude/funny ones! http://www.metrolyrics.com/bob-rivers-albums-list.html
  7. I figured if it was stolen and someone here recognized it/could confirm it as such, then the approach to take would not include tipping off the seller.
  8. http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/spo/4218357584.html I couldn't find it on any stolen database, however the price/no serial number caught my eye as a little off...... Anybody recognize it? There is a rigger seal. Legit? Or not?
  9. I weigh/fall a lot faster than you-and yup I started kinda balling up and ducking my head after I felt the d bag bouncing off my heels.....now no prob,
  10. Tracking/atmo certification? Not just no but no fucking way.........
  11. This is why Zimmerman is a "white Hispanic." Much like the President is a "White African American." ROFLMAO! Yea, our president the half white guy!!!!
  12. Anyone? OK, has anyone sent their SM1 back and had the Sbird update done-what did you think-worth it? Differences? Anyone gone from an SM1 to an Xbird? Thanks for any replies/help with the decision!
  13. Background-limited funds so whatever I go with is it for a number of years. Mostly do small flocks, but like to have range to pop back up. 230 out the door. So low 50's is about it for me now and would really like to be able to fly low 40's consistently to be able to stay up there with the light flyers. Currently a couple hundred jumps on my SM1 after starting on an aerobat. Considering sending the SM1 back for the S bird wings, or just pop the xtra money for an X bird. Opinions on the best bang for the buck? Would the Sbird upgrade be that big a diff over the SM1? Diff from that to the X?
  14. FL will have to print up their own shirts!
  15. I've seen more than one person who realized and acknowleged that it is a risk sport-unlike those that say it's more dangerous on the drive to the dz. They honestly assessed their family/financial situations and made the decision that they could not continue-sometimes after a minor landing injury. Some will come back later. I respect their decisions and would never look down at them for it.
  16. From what I've heard about the mach1 while in an actual discussion about the Colugo, is that the Colugo is much easier to fly then the mach. This is second hand info though. Thank you!!! I'm at the point that I can afford a new WS, but whatever I get I'll be flyin for a long time so would like to get one I won't regret or be disappointed with.
  17. You can't really compare those two suits because the SM1 is an old design that doesn't have nearly the same amount of surface area. The closest thing you can compare it to is the Apache or the Viper. Yes I realize I'm still flyin my old SM1....kids in college tend to limit your fun dollars! I would like to know if anyone could give me an idea of the difference it would be from my old SM1. I just can't buy a new suit every 6 months when a new one comes out!
  18. Any comparisons to TS SM1 yet? Had to attach a pic of the original Colugo.....awesome little fliers!
  19. Same here-just under 1.3 on a 170. I was going to downsize a while ago-however one day with a lot of canopy traffic and shifting winds(and yes better planning would have helped!) I found myself stuck with a downwinder. I rolled my ass off and walked away just covered in dust-and decided right then I'm never going below a 170! So think about those less than ideal landings when you want to downsize.....
  20. I'm a long way from being the most likely person on any given DZ to kill your friends just because of jump numbers and the canopy I'm flying Do you only do hop and pops with no one else in the air with you?????????????
  21. Where did you see that in their letter?
  22. http://www.utahsheriffs.org/USA-Home_files/2nd%20Amendment%20Letter_1.pdf So how many others have the balls to say no to enforcing unconstitutional executive order laws?
  23. No...HE decided that. Cop killers don't have an old timers reunion, he knew the drill. Exactly And all the clueless fuck monday morning quarterbacks-sure as hell didn't see you volunteering to go in the cabin and talk him out. Just hope hell is hotter than that cabin was......
  24. Now it is about time for the straw master kallend to ask why we all want loonies and fellons to get guns Uh oh!!! You called Kallend a name! You might get banned!
  25. And he's back in the air-GO NICK!!!!!! http://nickfener.wordpress.com/
