0:1:1 Sacraficed sleep before work to go out to Indiana Skydiving Academy for the first time (hence the beer) on Friday. Only did one jump account having to leave account of work but it still rocked. Did a RW jump with Ward. Taught me a really cool exit out of the cessna, turned 3 or 4 pts, and had a really good time. ------------------------------------------------ I've done so much, with so little, for so long I'm now expected to do everything with nothing forever

coming from one of those misguided, lost souls, I think this is a great idea. Last weekend was the first time I went on a weekend after being licensed and I know I felt pretty intimidated to go up to someone I didn't know and ask to go on a jump. ------------------------------------------------ I've done so much, with so little, for so long I'm now expected to do everything with nothing forever

I just finished the AFP program at SDC and they didn't extend the course after USPA raised the license requirement to 25. I was able to just do 3 solos (had 2 static line jumps before I started the course) to finish up. Just the cost of the normal slot and gear rental. ------------------------------------------------ I've done so much, with so little, for so long I'm now expected to do everything with nothing forever

Have any of you guys heard the radio commercial about the gas give away that mentions the "freefall festival in Illinois" ?? Funniest standard transmission story I've heard was my dad. Used to driving a 3 speed on the colum, got in an older car with one of the wide brake pedals and an automatic. Pulled out of the drive-way on a busy US highway and....yep you guessed it, nailed the brakes and put the thing in park trying to shift to 2nd gear. I guess the blue smoke off of all 18 wheels of the semi behind him was something to see. Of course it's only funny because all lived to tell about it. I love a stick. For my present truck I had to go to Toledo Ohio from Elkhart Indiana to find a stick in a new truck. One time when I was shopping for a used truck the guy was making me a pretty good deal on a truck I really liked but refused to buy it because it was an automatic. I'm doing the same thing with my sister. We did our first static line course and jump together, our first 2 tandems together and our first AFP course and jump together. She's short on cash so probably won't finish up for awhile, but she was on my graduation load. I'm hoping that by the time she finishes I'll have enough experience to go on her graduation jump with her. I don't think so. But I really don't know. All I know is it peeled up all over the first time, peeled up on the tailgate the second time. They also sprayed it too thick around the tailgate which puts a lot of pressure on the latches, and they sprayed over the access hole and the bolts so when the latches break I'm screwed. I'm not a very happy camper about the whole deal. I had one like that back in high school after catching a baseball in the eye.
