  1. I had to do level 4 three times as I kept spinning. I was told to relax. Relax? Falling at 120mph? With only 3 minutes previous experience????? Echoing what other people said... You were altitude aware, you know what happened and you are still walking. Jump can't have been too bad! I am my inner child. It's my outer adult I have trouble connecting with.
  2. I did that too! Got out in the end though. Don't beat yourself up about failing level 1. I failed several levels several times! I am my inner child. It's my outer adult I have trouble connecting with.
  3. Really enjoyed the diary. Brought back memories of my AFF. Thanks. I am my inner child. It's my outer adult I have trouble connecting with.
  4. Saw them on TV this morning. I'm guessing that it's the first time US stamps have made it on to breakfast TV in the UK! I am my inner child. It's my outer adult I have trouble connecting with.
  5. I did AFF in New Zealand (as I was there on hols) and then came back to Headcorn in Kent to continue. If you do go abroad then I think it's best to get the whole A licence if possible. (What do others think?) Headcorn is probably one of the nearest DZs to London. I enjoyed going there when I did but I haven't jumped for about 3 years so I can't say what it's like now. Try the UK Skydiver site if you don't get much info here. I am my inner child. It's my outer adult I have trouble connecting with.
  6. What about the start of the second Bridget Jones film? I am my inner child. It's my outer adult I have trouble connecting with.
  7. How has skydiving changed my life: I met my wonderful partner at the DZ. I gained a whole new perspective on my own character. But that all seems rather frivalous now. My thoughts are with you. I am my inner child. It's my outer adult I have trouble connecting with.
  8. I phoned Ryanair before we flew to Spain in March and I was informed that parachutes are not sports equipment as they will fit into a normal bag. I think it depends on who you talk to at Ryanair. (In the end we left our rigs here and hired gear out there. Weather was useless anyway! ) I am my inner child. It's my outer adult I have trouble connecting with.
  9. Did tandem but didn't help. Still repeated nearly all of them at least once!
  10. My boss turned up at the DZ one day. Not sure if she'd come to make sure I was still in one piece or to demonstrate to her husband what strange people she has to work with!
