  1. Ahhh, you've finally got the hang of that "Support the other side of the argument" game, haven't you?
  2. What service! Most people have to pay to be spanked by a nun with a paddle.
  3. I will. Gun control sucks. If ALL the kids had been armed one of them could've popped a cap in him before this punk blew away five of them.
  4. if that were the case maybe the USA would have got involved with the Kyoto agreement. but it isn't.
  5. We obviously get the news you guys aren't allowed to see. Maybe she is seen as a hero by the Fox watching US audience but not elsewhere. The official version of what happened has been completely rubbished. The poor girl happened to be in an Iraqi ambush. She didn't kill anyone. She wasn't raped. She was cared for in an Iraqi hospital by Iraqis. Her 'rescue' was a piss-poor bunch of acting. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/correspondent/3028585.stm http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,956255,00.html
  6. Where are you getting this crap from? Jessica Lynch didn't kill any Iraqis.
  7. I agree. One other interesting thing from the article you linked to was: It seems the vast majority of Brits find comfort in being surrounded by CCTV, regardless of how (in)effective it actually is.

    Friday giggle

    Have a super weekend everyone
  9. I'm not sure if people here are aware of this but: Iran is not breaking any international laws building nuclear power plants. Russia is not breaking any international laws selling weapons to Syria.
  10. My point is just that on the whole kids are pretty bad at things like morality, making judgements or taking responsibility for their actions. Those are the reasons we don't let them drink, drive, operate heavy machinery etc. It's not that they are technically unable to do those things, its that they don't have a grasp of the responsiblity doing those things entails. That is why your criticism of this child seems wrong to me. He clearly is too young and experienced in life to make sensible decisions, and by his actions he proved that pretty conclusively. Blame the parents or blame society, but don't in my opinion blame the children.
  11. Do any of you have kids? Can any of you remember the kinds of fucked up shit that seemed like a good idea when you were 13? Did you deserve to die for it?
  12. I can't see that working - GPS is just too easy to block.
  13. This is what our donations end up supporting... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/4263599.stm
  14. He said: This statement is nonsense. I don't know which western European nations he is referring to. When you refer to 'your local press' what press do you mean?
  15. I'm sure I'm not the only European who finds your statement that there is no freedom of press or in some cases political expression just slightly at odds with the reality we are living in. What are your sources for this wisdom?
  16. nope. i'm just raising the point that those who question the ban on the Swastika might want to think a bit more about all the daft things that are banned in their own countries. Absolutely. Depending on the tits of course. I don't think it should, but it does seem to.
  17. The point of banning the Swastika is that many people find it deeply offensive. Maybe those of you questioning this ban should ask yourselves why your own country operate a ban on women getting their tits out in public places. Is it that unreasonable that some people find the Swastiak more offensive than breasts?
  18. Saddam didn't believe in all that shit. He was only religeous when it suited him politically. Iraq was a secular state. Is that your personal opinion? Or do you have some facts to back up that statement, for example a quote from SH himself or from the Iraq regime. And why do you think NK just want food? They are communist. Communism by definition wants to spread itself across the entire globe. At least that's what we kept being told all through the cold war.
  19. Because we've sold them loans. We've bought their natural resources at extremely cheap prices. We use their labour to produce goods more cheaply than we can do in our own countries. At the same time we prevent them from trading their goods in our markets by implementing import restrictions.
  20. What is your explanation for the fact that so many millions of germans ended up supporting a government that did what the Nazis did?
  21. It wont happen any day soon. Free trade would mean wages in western nations would plummet. Rich nations are all very happy to help out poorer nations as long as it doesn't impact their own prosperity.
  22. These threads get so sanctamonious it makes me giggle. Fact is plenty of girls have had the backs knocked out of them before it is 'legal' and most normal hetro guys have fantasized at one time or another about being 'educated' by one of their teachers. Legal age is an interesting thing: It's funny how just because in the USA it is 16, that makes Americans find it abhorrent that this guy was 13. Yet in other countries where 13 is legal folks will wonder what all this fuss is about. This seems to be one of the few areas where western morals are 'tighter' than those of other cultures. It's fascinating that so few non-Muslim westerners can relate to the way Muslims treat their women with regard to covering them up, and yet they express outrage that a 13 year old boy got his end away with an experienced babe. This issue highlights that we all need to think a bit more about what is really wrong with things like this as opposed to what we've been brainwashed to believe is wrong with it.
  23. LOL. I forgot i put that in my profile.
  24. Well thanks a bunch for having the patience to educate a non-American. Thankfully Ron and Kennedy were more enlightening.
  25. A variation of Taurocrapology - a joke university qualification, as in "Q. What did you study at college? A. Taurocrapology" tauro - bull, crap - shit, ology - sounds sciency. Why?
