And we already know the Dude is coming without his monkey. Freeflying has Will Lajeunnesse and Jim Harris RW has Lyle Presse and Roger Ponce I know I'm forgetting things. Remember the party has moved to the BlackFin. It is about 1.3 miles west of the airport. Please register if you are coming - I don't want to be short on food! Then we'd have to draw lots for who to eat. *soylent green is people*

OK, this is what I have so far please spread the word because I've gotten about 110 individual calls & emails about this. It is still on! The Coconut Cay did take a lot of damage from storm surge after the hurricane passed. Our little beach party area is non-existant at this time HOWEVER - we have already found an alternate location for the party. The Cay is not sure how many usable rooms they have right now. I am about to call them and give up our staff rooms so that others can use them and have relocated our staff. The party is moved to the BlackFin - Porky's will still be able to cater for us. Sorry, staff there isn't a lot of choices in our rooms and some of you will have to just deal with the fact that you are in smoking rooms - you wont be in them much anyways speaking from past experiences! I held all the remaining rooms at the BlackFin so that we could make sure they were filled with skydivers. I may have three rooms up for grabs there. One will be a small apartment with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room (for four adults but really it has I think queen beds in each room and a sleeper sofa and a lot of room. Full price is 159.00 a night and we get 10% off. Also may have 3 smoking double rooms. The doubles have two queens each and are 89.00 a night before the 10% off. My internet at the dz is spotty right now - the hurricane screwed up our wireless antennae so call the dz if you are really desperate - 1-772-388-5672.

Oh, I know many things... I just can't keep who, what, where, when straight. So...HOW ABOUT THAT FREAKING HURRICANE?? Keep your fingers crossed that the Keys don't get slammed too hard only three weeks before we launch our attack upon them.

Congrats on the C and you are going to have so much fun that.... damn, I forgot what the saying is. Something flies out of your ass but I can't remember what it is. And barefoot Jeff - you need to get your butt back to Sebastian do 2 or 3 more jumps and finish your test. Less talky more jumpy and you can join us down there.

More news...high altitude jumps!!! This is the first year we will be offering hi-alt in the keys! There may possibly be an accuracy meet as well - Actually the whole event is kind of an informal accuracy meet.

Well, the camping/shower situation at Sebastian is great. (Now that we are on city water.) HOWEVER - this particular boogie is not actually at Sebastian. The Keys Boogie is in Marathon, FL on Vaca Key. That is dead center in the keys after you leave the mainland and hit the islands. The camping situation there is not good. As in almost non-existant - as in you can't camp on the airport at all and I don't really know where you can - not good. You can usually hook up with a group of similar minded jumpers who pile a zillion people into one hotel room thus bringing the overhead way down. Or you treat it like a boogie/vacation and go big with a nice room and enjoy your margaritas on the beach. If I remember correctly someone told me that there actually is a camping place on the island but it was so expensive it worked out better to share a room rather than pay a lot to sleep under nylon!

She might have mentioned Lost Prarie when I asked where she had been. I'm such a loser. My desk is covered with five zillion little scraps of scribbled on papers. That's after I narrowed it down while looking for current misplaced scrap of paper.

I don't know if Kat is a dz.commer or not but if anyone knows Kat who is a packer and is passing through AZ at this time. She called me in Sebastian the other day looking for packing work for the winter. I took her name and number and (those of you who know me will never guess) then I lost it. I told her that I thought I was pretty well set but of course, we all know how it goes in skydiving my plans have gone awry and if she calls me soon or just shows up on my doorstep - it would be fantastic! Call me Kat or someone please let her know I'm looking for her.

Update time! Coconut Cay is full although I may possibly have a room or even two that I was holding for staff that I might not need and rather than just turn it back to the hotel and risk it going to non-skydivers, I'll pass it on to someone if they want it. Let me know. I should know by tonight if I need the room(s) or not. Also Jim Harris of EastSide Freefly and Will Lajeunnesse will be freefly organizing for us. RW will have Roger Ponce and Lyle Presse. Scary Perry for wingsuits. Possibly a CRW organizer. Norman Kent will be shooting video and Dano will be making an excellent Keys Boogie video again! He did a fantastic job last year. If you are at the boogie - you will be on the video!

I stand corrected - borrowing. I know how this borrowing works. I have had so many things borrowed. I have probably done a little borrowing myself if I really thought about it. Thanks for the links. Get your rooms - and keep sending those registrations in. I've got a bunch but there are so many people that I KNOW are coming that haven't sent me their forms. Please send them in early so we can make sure we have plenty of everything for everyone!

That's awesome - that is exactly what we used to sell and a lot cheaper than we paid for it!!! Will - do not advocate destruction of airline property. Matt - can you maybe list the hotel or hotels that you mentioned to me were less expensive than the ones with our discounts? I have people asking but I forgot the name and lost the note (like that's a surprise to anyone).

We have a VERY limited quantity available to rent. If the gear store opens back up (they keep telling me that it will be open for for Halloween) then I am sure that you could purchase through them. I'll keep you posted on that.

Oh we know! And btw... Porky's (they catered for us last year) now have a full liquor license so there will be a cash bar at the party - not that there seemed to be a shortage of alcoholics (I mean alcohol) last year! Please, please, please if you are coming to the keys boogie make sure you get your registration forms in - we need a pretty accurate head count for the dinner.

Slap yourself together a costume and come hang out with us in Sebastian. Saturday night (Ocotber 29) we will have a great Party. Tiff and I will work the Tiki Bar that night keeping everyone well supplied with liquid refreshments and probably some of our famous not so liquid refreshments of the jello persuasion. There will be freefly disorganizing with Will. Yes, he will be back and as disorganized as ever, I'm sure. PJ will be with us for some RW organizing. If I have some wingsuit interest - I could get an organizer to keep you birds happy if you let me know that you'll be here for it. We'll end the jumping day with a hit and chug. Then get in our costumes for the party. Costume contest, maybe some speed pumpkin carving... who knows what will happen?

I have lots of registrations in but I don't know everyone's dz.com names that have registered to add them to the list and I know that some of them are dz.commers. Registrations are coming in strong - get your name on the list!

Registration is open and we have begun!! The Coconut Cay is filling up quick - BlackFin is a good alternate. (Better rooms actually.)

AHHHHHHHHH!!! - was the scorpion in your shoe in the room? I'm not wild about their rooms but they are nice to us and they have a great party spot and I got tired of driving back and forth last year to the other hotel so.... the Cay it is. Try the Blackfin - they have discounts as well and nicer rooms. Banana Bay didn't give us discounts but they have very nice rooms there. Registration is started! I've got the first of them in already - you can fill out the form on the internet - by next week you'll even be able to pay on paypal.
