Maybe you'll get lucky and invest your retirement funds in a well regulated business like Bernie Madoff ran. Those pesky government regulators at the SEC really did their jobs as true conservatives would DREAM of, right? They made the appearance of regulating, while actually doing nothing at all. We all know that businesses will always act in the best interests of the citizens, so minimal to no government regulation and oversight is needed, right? The ShrubCo MMS is another great example of the predictable outcome of conservative ideals. Minimal to no government regulation and NO enforcement of what little regulations existed. Total cooperation with the industry that is supposed to be tightly regulated. That has worked out to be totally bitchin, hasn't it? You stupid fucks STILL don't get it, do you? You swallow the bullshit from the corporate media, hook, line, and sinker. The practical outcome of the policies you support is totally predictable and obvious. Why are people so gullible so as to support that which is clearly NOT in their best interests? It is bizarre...

Marc, as usual, can't answer direct questions that challenge his beliefs, so he resorts to evasive bullshit. SSDD Compassionless conservatism is NOT a good thing. Where are the links to your posts that call for Shrub and Cheney the Dick to be held accountable for their crimes? They don't exist. I can find many posts over the years where you defend them and their actions. Face it, Marc. You are EXACTLY as described in my previous posts, as much as you would like to deny it. The truth can be very painful.

It will really suck when the clauses in the policies that denied coverage to previously existing conditions, are deleted. It will really suck when the clauses in the policies that made provisions for dropping coverage if you actually started making claims that are covered under other clauses in the policies, are deleted. Yup. That will really suck. No large corporation or insurance company stands to benefit from these changes. Conservetards believe that anything that will be helpful to the average citizen is detrimental to business operations and will be "very bad for the economy". "Policy changes" to over 50% of existing policies? That seems to cover the removal of the odious shit in most current health insurance policies, as mandated by the really weak "reform" that passed. Nice try... More RWC bullshit here. Move along, nothing to see here. P.S. I thought RWCs were all about respect for the rule of law. The law passed, so get with the program and quit your whining and sniveling.

Yes Again a parents actions can have a huge effect on your life. As stated, ignorance is no excuse. And now that you know you must take the steps to fix it. At this point they become responcible for self Compassionless conservatism at its finest... That kind of thinking is totally disgusting to those of us who actually understand what this country "used" to stand for. In reference to the repeated calls by some for ALL illegals to be deported, no matter what the circumstances are, so much for justice and reasonable application of the law. These concepts are beyong comprehension of the conservatards. Stunted moral development is really nasty when it rears its ugly head. And your moral compass indicates you lie about those you do not agree with and that no one should be held to account for thier actions. Such a sweet boy I will keep mine thank you

Why not? They broke the law. Well, law isn't as important as FEELINGS, we should play favorites and just enforce the law when it makes some people feel good. Yeah, that'll reduce corruption, too. hope that helps Can any of the theoretical "defenders of the rule of law" provide any links to thier postings that call for George W. Bush and Dick Cheney to be held to account for their deliberate and calculated violations of the law? You know, those minor violations like authorizing and bragging about torturing people, authorizing and establishing illegal wiretapping of US citizens, and planning and executing a premeditated invasion and occupation of a country that NEVER attacked us. I can confidently say that such posts do not exist. So much for the so-called respect for the rule of law by you folks. Be honest with yourselves. You all have no moral or ethical consistency at all. You all choose to selectively pick those laws that should be enforced to the letter, and those that shouldn't. You all have ZERO concern for egregious constitutional violations, violations of US and international law with regard to torture, and the illegal invasion of Iraq. Yet you all spew the hatred and racist bullshit about "illegals" and how the law must be fully applied to all of them, in all cases. So much for your moral high ground and supposed superiority over the "illegals". I have met and interacted with a number of "illegals" since I have been in California. Every one I have dealt with was honest, worked their asses off, had good family values, and was trying to better themselves and their families. Pretty much the American ideals to strive for. Every group has scumbags among them. There are some in the population of illegals, and there are some in the skydiving community.

Which post does the waring apply to? The first or the second?

Pretty sure that qualifies as a personal attack. No it is a general attack on all of the assholes that think as described in my post. If your thinking aligns with what is described, you might be offended. I am SO sorry if I hurt your precious feelings... Tell the 19 year old kid that has been in the USA since they were three, and got deported back to their counrty of birth over a legal technicality how much your feelings are hurt. I am sure they will be sympathetic.

What might some of those examples be? Simple black and white answers to these issues do not exist. That makes this poll completely stupid. When a child is brought into the US illegally at a very young age, like under 5, and spends their childhood and teenage years in the USA, they have become, in every meaningful way, a member of this society. They went to school, church, played with other kids, and grew up HERE, not there. You judgemental racist assholes that can't tell right from wrong would be in favor of deporting such a person. No consideration for the cruelty and inhumanity such a thing would be. Sending someone back to a country where they knew no one, had no roots or history, and no way to fit back into that society is fine by you sons of bitches. Your kind is EXACTLY what is seriously wrong with the USA. You have no compassion or consideration for extant circumstances. I would suggest that you try to put yourself in that person's shoes. You might learn something. I'll be you all go to church and think you're christian, too. Is murdering "illegals" by tossing them out of tailgate airplanes really in tune with the values of the USA? That was a sarcastic joke, right? Anyone who performed such an act should be tried and convicted of first degree murder and put in prison for life, with no possibility of parole.

Listen to right wing radio a lot, don't you? You have the talking points memorized perfectly. Regurgitated like a perfect parrot. If you were a third grader, I might give you a star to put on your forehead. Wow - Hostile and demeaning much? To right wing nitwits, HELL YES!!! And just how many degrees in Marine Biology to you possess? What the fuck does having a degree in ANYTHING have to do with whether or not someone is a right wing nitwit? The correct answer is - NOT A GODDAMN THING!!! Spewing right wing talking points vebatim is not impressive, no matter what your credentials. The bullshit posted is VERBATIM the right wing talking points. That someone with what are supposed to be advanced degrees is so gullible as to believe them, and parrot them, is PATHETIC!! It is HILARIOUS to see all of the "smalll government - no regulations" folks pitching a bitch because of the lack or government regulations and oversight allowing the nightmare to occur. Funny how fast Jindal started CRYING for the federal government to step in and help out. Just like the rest of the dirtbags. They'll talk a big game, but when the shit hits the fan, big government is the knight in shining armor that will come to save the day. When their anti-government, anti-regulation policies are actually put into practice, like the MMS did under ShrubCo, bad things happen. Read anything about BPs cleanup plans - you know, the ones that go into detail about how to save walruses that would be affected by a gulf oil spill?

I notice that you're unable to refute the positive social changes I listed. Regardless, seeing as how it was the REPUBLICAN Congress that forced Clinton to sign a balanced budget, anyone that thinks that the Dems have anything to do with fiscal responsibility or small government obviously just escaped from a state hospital while under treatment for severe delusional tendencies. It appears that the difference between "conservative" and "Republican" is not comprehensible to you. Conservative and Republican are NOT synonyms. Democrat and Progressive aren't either. With regard to comments on my historical knowlege, that is quite laughable. I have been reading and studying history since I was a kid. I grew up in a town that shares a border with Lexington, MA. I have forgotten more than you have ever read. And clearly I understand it far better than you do. You were educated in Texas, weren't you? Given the Texas methodolgy for ensuring accurate textbooks for their educational system, you have an excuse for your lack on comprehension, kinda sorta... Indentifying the execution of the "Contract on America" as a positive social development is a clear indication that you have no real comprehension of the results. There is no way any sane person who really understands what took place could see it as a "positive social change". Quite the contrary.
-
Hey Mike, here is the long standing challenge that RWCs can't ever seem to answer - What postive social changes have come about due to the practical application of conservative philosophy? NONE is the correct answer. Conservatives are not helpful to the greater good of society. Not in any way, shape or form.

Family asked to pay for car damage after dog run over
funjumper101 replied to JohnRich's topic in Speakers Corner
In the state of California, damage to vehicle caused by roaming pets getting run over is the responsibility of the pet owner. Harsh, if you are a pet owner, good if you are the driver. -
Finally - welcome to the real world. Mockery is hard to comprehend for some... sad, isn't it? Some people completely blew off the "critical thinking" part of their educational opportunities and parrot whatever sound bites their meager intellects can recall. Right wingnut world is not reality. Sorry to burst your bubble.

There are two possibilities as to how you and others have created this completely false idea that Tea Parties are merely a large group of paid-off political pawns - 1: You are blindly accepting what a bunch of decidedly liberal columnists and news anchors have perpetuated, or 2: You know that it's false, and you are therefore lying. So it's really a question of ignorance or impropriety. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you are simply misinformed - but ignorance really isn't something to be proud of, nonetheless. Before you attempt to convince me that the Tea Parties are a hoax, let me ask you: Have you ever actually been to a Tea Party? I have, and everyone I know that attended the Tea Party is a genuine person who showed up simply because they believed in a cause. None of them received any money for their attendance. The nitwits that are tea party followers are pathetic. They read the bullshit on websites bought and paid for with corporate dollars and swallow it, hook, line, and sinker. Rachel Maddow has done an excellent job of researching and exposing the OWNERSHIP of the main websites and the company that sets them up. They are totally astroturf, as in FAKE grassroots websites. The scumbag that takes the corporate money and cranks up the astroturf websites has appeared on her show. Your lack of curiousity and inability to do any research of your own does not make your opinion correct. I went to a local tea party event. What I saw there was a pack of racist white people who had lots of hateful things to say about the current POTUS. I heard a lot of verbal vomit that was repetition of right wing horseshit. I did not see concerned citizens with respect for our government and the constitution. I saw a scared group of easily led white folks that hate the fact that there is a person of color as president. The idea of overthrowing the government was quite popular. The methods discussed had nothing to do with winning elections. The methods were superior arms and intimidating those rotten "liberals". Maybe the quality of people at these events has improved. As the tea party has gotten credit for Rand Paul's primary win, the odds are against it.

Move along, nothing to see here execpt another fine example of right wingnut nitwittery. Nitwits, and the fuckers VOTE as instructed by their corporate leaders. Tea Partiers = corporate stooges. NONE of the "tea party" bullshit is grassroots. They are all AstroTurf. No wonder the country is headed off a cliff.

Hey, its for the good of the children! How could anyone be opposed? Maybe we can drug test the school board, the school administrators, and the teachers, too. We can't have any possibility of any drug users having contact with the children, can we? History has proved that prohibition works. Making and keeping popular drugs illegal does not promote organized crime, law enforcement corruption, and disregard for the law by the general population. Not at all...

What do you, a Canadian, see as damage that Pelosi is responsible for? In your own words, please. In other words, no verbal vomit of right wing talking points...

Right WingNuts jump in to whine about an empathetic judge. Who'd a thunk it? Right and wrong are not as simple as black and white, HELLO get a clue! I am happy to see that there is a judge who can take in the big picture and has the huevos to make tough calls. Not like the right wingnuts on the SC, who performed one of the worst acts of "legislating from the bench" that has been seen in modern times. You can't put a corporation in jail, so they aren't entitled to fully be "people", in context of the law.

one (or both) of these documents is a forgery...which one(s)?

If you type "Barack Obama" into Google one of the top ten autocompletions that comes up is "birth certificate". Evidently it is NOT a dead horse for a lot of people So what you are saying is that there is no shortage of really stupid and gullible idiots in the world, correct? If you are a "birther", you are, by your own admittance, a really stupid and gullible person.
