  1. Thanks Quade, I suppose I won't use it for Skydiving... You can't determine the length of your life - but you can control its height and depth.
  2. Best compliment Thank you You can't determine the length of your life - but you can control its height and depth.
  3. It looks a lot like a 'stick insect' (Phasmida). They only eat grass and leaves ... I use to breed them when I was kid For the curious You can't determine the length of your life - but you can control its height and depth.
  4. Has anyone used the ND filter from Sony ? clicky What is it doing ? Would it help in skydiving ? You can't determine the length of your life - but you can control its height and depth.
  5. 1:7:2 1 very cool NC17 boogie. I won't expand, you had to be there I jumped my new camera helmet (RAWA), it is excellent. I still have to find something I don't like about it
  6. Just because I was intrigued : x: original number y: your date of birth ((2*x)+5)*50+175(3/2) -y = 100*x + (200(2/3)-y) 200(2/3) - y = your age Cool trick though
  7. I can't believe I missed that ... looked like great time I suppose it will have to be done again next week-end for my 400th You can't determine the length of your life - but you can control its height and depth.
  8. read my signature You can't determine the length of your life - but you can control its height and depth.
  9. 26, 4 years in the sport and 400 jumps ... still a baby You can't determine the length of your life - but you can control its height and depth.
  10. That was a MUST SEE... next time we need a video. Two tandem masters at my previous home dz at about 5000ft, when their students started to get really nervous, took the rig user manual and started arguing about the use of one handle debating loudly on it pointing at the manual as reference. That was really funny for us in the plane, but not so much for the students strapped to them Another cool thing to do, when a big groups is using commercial (low-fare) airline (to go to a boogie), is to make other passengers believe that it was your own responsibility to bring your parachute with you in case of emergencies you would be amazed of the amount of people that do actually believe you. 11. Just received my new camera Helmet : Will be great practice to shoot videos
  12. I have been accumulating a bunch of them over the years ... (sorry, some are kind of loosy translation from French ...) You can't determine the length of your life - but you can control its height and depth.
  13. My own opinion on that interesting subject: Acceptable Risks: Anything is acceptable as long as it is done in full knowledge of the implications and that it does not endanger any unwilling 1/3 party... You can't determine the length of your life - but you can control its height and depth.
  14. That's what I replied... I'll consider it to be a good answer I have to say that I love this kind of tricky questions, we always get them at work for the annual "team building exercises" (it is probably aimed at showing us that we are all as stupid as one another ?!?) From what they said in "Adrenaline Rush" skydivers are incline to think outside the box ... [no comment] You can't determine the length of your life - but you can control its height and depth.
  15. As I usually answer to my wuffo friends: Do you live to work or do you work to live !!! This explains why I am broke now ... You can't determine the length of your life - but you can control its height and depth.
  16. That is optional ... although it would make more space in the basket now corrected, thanks You can't determine the length of your life - but you can control its height and depth.
  17. One of my best jump ever ... only bad thing about it is that now I am seriously thinking about that BASE thing ... It is the same thrill but with less direct cost associated. If you are getting a video taken from the balloon, shout all the way down, the sound effect on the video is great As long as the balloonist (?) is experienced with skydiver, you can launch as many people as you want
  18. I don't know if it is bad form, but I can't find any mention of this week-end Halloween boogie in Davis. Does anyone from dz.com is going to be there ? It should be great fun http://www.nc17boogie.com/ [serious] If you are going, don't forget the weather forecast: really cold temperature ... [/serious] so be ready to cover yourself But I am sure there going to be a lot done to make it a bit hotter See you there ... 19. here is mine, the second one ... Clicky You can't determine the length of your life - but you can control its height and depth.
  20. Since you asked so nicely Pour le plaisir de ces dames
  21. Please bring more rain / storm over Seatle
  22. I let only once someone else touch my main (because of a serious lack of food), and that was my first and only malfunction (lineover spinning mal) Now, I am one of these lucky person that really do not mind packing I pack for myself and others, for money or for beer. I hate seeing people struggling with their parachute and miss a load because of it. My first home DZ had a huge sign in the hangar saying : YOU JUMP IT, YOU PACK IT. 23. 5:6:3 Hollister showed us the best it had to give this week-end
  24. I would have said the ones not gigging at the camera ... all skydiver are well trained at that discipline You can't determine the length of your life - but you can control its height and depth.
  25. My trick: once I got my rhythm on (warmed-up, got away from the others ...) I start thinking about something interesting (like what would be my best 10 skydives ) It makes my mind go away from the swimming and the time goes way faster
