No not fat pretty lean and mean and 55 if that’s old. I just retired in may and went to work security at a nuclear plant. It’s way less stress and more money. It’s genetics I’m an avid runner and weight lifter used to compete in BJJ. I was actually backpacking a section of the Appalachian Trail when i was 39 and had a heart attack had two stents put in and never had any problems until September. I was running on a treadmill had chest pains went to the ER and they wouldn’t let me leave. They did a heart cath and said my heart was functioning at around 6 percent and i was very close to dying. I had open heart the next day. I’m healed up running and lifting again. I’m at the point now i can do another tandem jump and hopefully ground school soon after that. I am obsessed with skydiving. I knew the second i did it i was hooked.

So no answer on how to implement this idea? I have never said more guns solve the more gun problem at all. It’s so strange you seem very educated but cannot even keep on track of simple things i have posted or even answer basic questions without insults. There doesn't seem to be a distinction between a legal gun owner and some maniac mass shooter to you they are the same thing. I don’t think you are the problem with guns at all. You definitely are not the solution. You will never convince a gun owner to even think about expanded background checks or more regulations because you seem to think gun owners are beneath you. Come to think of it your personality would probably sell more guns just out of disgust of your superiority complex. Glock should hire you for their marketing team.

I agree with this

I’m curious how that would be implemented? Would it be like a phone app? Would there be any exceptions for example a victim of domestic violence? I ask because i have seen this scenario play out first hand. Maggot wife beater bonds out of jail and immediately calls his battered wife that he is out and going to kill her, the kids and himself. Police cannot find maggot it’s the middle of the night and the victims brother gives her a pistol in case the maggot comes to the house. How would a background check be secured for that pistol?

What gun laws would you support eliminating? You said there were already too many. I have been called a troll on this thread i assure you i am not. I like conversations about guns and hearing opposing ideas.
-
Thats so cute. You call me a hypocrite yet you would be the first to call someone with the guns you seem to detest so much to protect you if you were ever attacked. Then in complete form you would obviously tell them they did everything wrong. You and some of the other on this thread should really audition for the View you seem to be very similar to them. In almost every horrible killing that you read about the person has been arrest and let out of their cage multiple times for violent offenses until they finally kill someone. I simply want someone to have the ability to protect themself from someone that i just described. To you and some others on this thread seem to think that means i want stinger missiles and fighter jets. I wonder if you ever responded to these types of incidents or had to make death notifications if your opinion would change.

Oh i have no idea. Social program for inmates is not my wheelhouse. Response to active shooters, defensive tactics, weapons retention, safe and legal traffic stops, competitive shooting, firearms instructor are my area of knowledge. What you are saying sounds great.
-
You don’t believe people drive drunk, speed, rob and kill people because it’s against the law? I assure you they do daily. Again by keeping violent criminals in jail or executing them ( i’m talking about convicted murderers) The recidivism rate in the US is insane. In just the county i live you should see all the violent criminals released early. I don’t see your graph addressing that or did i not look hard enough.

Oh no i have an ALICE pack in my basement and it’s gasp military grade. I have a KABAR knife and CLP for my gun cleaning it’s all military grade i’m doomed.
-
Ok less guns how? Gun confiscation? No concealed carry? Why? Do you have the statistic on how many legally carrying concealed carry gun owners commit crimes with those guns? Again you have no answer for how you would handle a traffic stop with an armed person?
-
Oh no worries people like them seem to look down on anyone with a difference of opinion. It’s crazy to me. I enjoy discussing topics with people with difference of opinions. It was a shock that some of them actually look down at people who are new to skydiving. I trained BJJ for years and when a new guy came in we couldn’t wait to get to know them and start training and watching them get better no matter if we had political differences Joe Webber specifically seems to have contempt for new skydivers who have a different opinion than them. It doesn't bother me at all. I’m just glad the instructors at the jump zone i go to seem nothing like the guys hurling insults at me on this forum.

Again how should it be done? How would you speak to a nervous driver who is anxiously telling you they have a gun? I have found humor as a good distraction. The overwhelming majority of stops with people carrying guns the person is legal to have the gun. Unfortunately a good portion of the people i have encountered want to remove the gun and give it to me for some reason. That is a horrible idea. That’s why i tell them just keep yours where ever it is and i will also. Meaning if they put their hand anywhere close to a gun they will see mine quickly. I have also been shot at during a traffic stop.

Wait you were a police officer and you refer to guns as toys? That is insanity to me. The reason i brought up my profession is due to the subject matter. If you look at the subject it’s about the 2nd amendment which is guns. I have bought and sold guns for decades. I have investigated countless gun crimes ranging from murder to carrying unlawfully. I have arrested people for gun crimes from Hells Angels to white collar people. I have seen how guns are smuggled, traded and used in almost any capacity. SWAT team operator, competitive shooter. I know this isn’t really a very impressive part of my resume but i think it gives me a more clear understanding of guns than most.

What is your point?
-
Your contempt was very clear for new people in this sport. One jump wonders was the term i believe. This is a discussion about the 2nd amendment which is guns and you seem to have a problem with my opinion because it is different from yours, i'm new to the site, and new people to this sport are beneath you. I never brought up anything about stingers and fighter jets to protect ourselves. Im so shocked even though you insulted my response to dealing with armed drivers you have no suggesting on how to handle that type of stop. Is that a lefty prerequisite? To criticize something you know nothing about then hide and don’t answer a question when confronted?
