Well I just have to say that this crosskeys is absolutely awesome! The people, staff, and night time activities totally rock!!!! This was my first time down there and Freezefest is seriously not for the weak! OMG....and can i tell you, I'm still on a high from my first helicopter jump!!!! OAR is awesome!!! I started listening to them about 2 years ago. They played a great concert last summer at Jones Beach on LI. Def check out their website for their concerts. I'm kinda with PLF....Both have great defenses. Come on held to 14 and 3 points in both games last night. Yes the pats have a little better offense and have been there before....but I'm with Carolina. Just the thought of getting as far as they have and beating the teams they did.....thats enough momentum. I think pure adrenaline and desire is going to win this game.... I heard that men that worked in the ice factories in Mt.Washington, NH went into the freezers cause it was 30 degrees warmer then the -105 outside!!!!! Not to worry.....seriously! i just got mine out in October and it was the best thing. i had strep 6 times from the month of june to sept. I was 24 and so nervous for the same reasons you are, plus i'm allergic to latex which always puts a special twist to any surgery. ok here are my recommendations: 1. Save your voice. You are going to feel like you can talk right afterwards, but you are still under so much drugs, you'll end up in more pain. DON'T TALK!!!!! 2. never let your drugs run out!!! You'll get liquid codeine. Good stuff. The first 2 days i was taking it every 3-3 1/2 hours whether i was in pain or not....(never let the pain begin) 3. Stay away from dairy. JELLO was my favorite..orange flavored. You can't have anything red, b/c you are watching to make sure it doesn't start bleeding. Also italian ices or slurpees are good. Mash potatoes with even a little gravy is good, but i wouldn't do that till around the 3-4th day. 4. Get lots of good movies, and paper and pens. Honestly, I love to talk and this was the hardest part! I didn't talk for 3 days at all and slowly began on the 4th. Really don't push yourself to cause you can damage your vocal cords permanently. I was eating turkey and potatoes by the 4th day (had to cut it up real small and chew a lot, but it was better then jello at that point) Your tongue is going to be really swollen and that was more uncomfortable to me then my lack of tonsils. I was back to work in 10 days, and made my first jump 2 weeks after. You'll be great!!!! And its not as bad as they make it out to be, just enjoy the drugs!
