DZ Tools JumpRun! Windows 7 Compatability
Jody replied to IanRosenvinge's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Take a look at 'the new kid on the block'. J-Jump 2010 is coming out soon. J-Jump has been working in a drop zone for 4 years now. It runs on Windows XP through Windows 7, and on MacOS X. In fact you can run it on both systems simultaneously. We are just finishing up this new version, and putting it up on the web site. www.jonoke.com/J-Jump/About.htm. It is written using modern tools, for modern computers. Jonoke writes software for medical organizations. Therefore we are used to high availability systems, with backup, multiple users etc. Best way to contact Jonoke is sales@jonoke.com Jody -
I like the look of the internally mounted ringsite. Very clean, and very little to catch onto. What did you use to mount on the inside of the helmet. Was it a piece of hardware you purchased from say Paragear, or something you picked up at a local hardware store? The picture doesn't show what is inside so I am just wondering. Thanks Jody

Pete: I just may take you up on that offer. Are you at the University during the week so it is not so far out of the way. Jody

I am putting together my new BoneHead Narrow camera helmet. Is there anything specific that I should do when mounting the ring site? I have the Brent site, and the Schumacher articulating arm. Where on the helmet? Where should the ring site actually sit in it's final position? Is the angle of the site critical? Any advise is appreciated. Jody

TK We wrote an application for our local drop zone that has been in use this year. It tracks all jumps, and if an instructor or coach jumped with the person who it was. It is a multi-user data base system that it is written with. Far more reliable than Access. It keeps track of all gear, packing, instructing, coaching etc. This can be viewed in many ways. This includes looking at a student and see which instructors have jumped with them. You can look at an instructor's record and know who they have instructed. It handles the payment of the instructors / coaches automatically when they are manifested. It has many more features than this currently. We have froze the features for this year's version, but are already at work on next year's features. If you are interested call me at 1-800-254-0739 ext 2234, or Bernie at ext 2230. Jody
