  1. Glad I was able to jump into this thread right now...billvon, I'm still not convinced you read that article you posted. If you had, you would have seen that Haliburton could go tits up and Cheney would not be affected as far as his severance goes, due to the insurance on it. It is money that is owed to him by the company. Consider it "reparations" for the work he did while he was there. Does that clear anything up? - Lefty Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  2. I was wondering, do you all have smaller reserves then your main canopies, or larger, or the same size? Any advantages/disadvantages to your choice would be appreciated. I'm using this as info for my new rig. Thanks. - Lefty Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  3. Guess we're all only human. Hope this makes liberals feel like there's actually a point to their existence...NOT. - Lefty Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  4. It sure is an awfully convenient "unfounded accusation", wouldn't you say? I think people saw it for what it was, though; just some last minute smearing. - Lefty Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  5. Manifesting just won't be the same without you there. - Lefty Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  6. Yeah, I think the practice of creative editing is now called "Dowdification". Named after Maureen Dowd of the NY Times. - Lefty Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  7. And while we're talking about liberals, I'll just post this article which I found very comprehensive. http://www.nationalreview.com/lowry/lowry200310060851.asp - Lefty Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  8. Time once again for that liberal rag known as the New York Times to fess up...this time for Arnold bashing. http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2003/10/4/105622.shtml - Lefty Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  9. I think this is just the political equivalent of a "late hit" in football. Just save all the mudslinging until its too late for the victim to properly and thoroughly respond. Gotta love the media. - Paul Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  10. Bet we'll rarely hear the full quote from the mainstream media...except for maybe FOX and talk radio. Damn liberals... - Lefty Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  11. Woah, that must have been at least a 2 minute swoop given the time it takes me to get from the main road to where I can see the landing area. If only I can be as good as you someday, Dave. - Lefty Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  12. I can feel my wallet getting thinner and thinner... *high-fives softlandings*. - Paul Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  13. You know, making the U.N. a worthless force is a great idea. That is, if it's not worthless already. The articles you provide (especially the first one) actually reinforce what I said about the U.S. being the brains and muscle. If that's true, what's the point of having the U.N. around? - Lefty Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  14. Hey, I have no problem with the U.S. using its veto power since its the muscle (and the brains) behind the U.N. anyway. The French, however, haven't been a major power for hundreds of years, yet liberals say their veto has some sort of weight to it. Without the U.N. they'd be nothing. That is why everyone is so frustrated with the likes of France. As for the U.S. selling Iraq weapons, well, times change don't they? If they become hostile towards us, is it really logical to let them keep the weapons we allowed them to have just because we sold them the weapons? And if anyone still thinks Bush lied about the weapons or whatever, read http://www.rightwingnews.com/quotes/demsonwmds.php. - Lefty Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin

  16. Something tells me you won't be getting too many logical rebuttals on this one. These points are from an old Neal Boortz article: 1. Prior to the commencement of military action against Saddam Hussein America, Great Britain, France, Russia, Germany and the United Nations knew of the existence of large stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons in Iraq. In fact, this information was known prior to Saddam kicking the U.N. inspectors to the curb in 1998. Democrats should take note than none other than Sen. Tom Daschle spoke of our certain knowledge of the existence of these weapons and of the necessity of making sure they are destroyed. 2. Not only did we know that Saddam Hussein had these weapons, but Saddam himself had acknowledged their existence. Rather hard not to, really, when you're using them to kill tens of thousands of your own people. 3. Since we knew that Saddam had the weapons, and since Saddam knew that we knew, Saddam agreed with the United Nations that he would destroy his biological and chemical weapons arsenal, not because he wanted to, but because the alternative seemed unpleasant … for Saddam. 4. Not only did Saddam agree to destroy those weapons, but he also agreed to document that destruction and to present the evidence of that destruction to the United Nations Security Council. 5. Despite repeated demands and requests, Saddam steadfastly refused to provide even the most minimal evidence to the Security Council that he had destroyed those weapons. Finally, time ran out. Don't forget, though, it's all about oil, isn't it? - Lefty Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  17. I'd like to nominate myself. First AFF jump at Skydive Aggieland I was being guided down on radio by Steve. Steve says to make a right, I make a left. Next thing I hear is "YOUR OTHER RIGHT!!" So at this point I'm over a bunch of trees and I'm too low to turn given my lack of experience. I just picked the least intimidating tree and went right for it. When the dust settled I was dangling about a foot off the ground but was able to touch the ground so I climbed out of the rig. Steve comes racing over in the golf cart and gets it stuck in the mud. Once we had gotten the canopy out of the tree, AggieDave comes riding up in his truck and runs over the container, which is sitting on the ground. Then the monsoon starts and everyone gets soaked. All this cause I didn't know my right from my left. And that is the story of how I got the name "Lefty." Btw, I got my A-license last night, so everyone congratulate AggieDave for graduating his first student. - Lefty Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  18. In case anyone sees a car like that driving around in College Station, its mine...and I paid for it. So don't try to run me off the road and turn me in to the cops. - Paul Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
  19. A semi shooting hot...the arch nemesis of a pump player like myself. Used to work at a paintball field and saw a finger get broken by a ball from a gun that chrono'ed at 300. I'd hate to imagine what 400 could do. I have a green Phantom with pretty much all the stock parts available. Try to out-snipe that, Dave. Which reminds me, I'm trying to sell it for skydiving money. Anyone interested in the best pump gun money can buy can PM me for details. 20. Not that I'm from California or anything, but it seems like career politicians have run that state into the ground. A fresh perspective may be just what that state needs. Arnold seems to have some pretty decent policies, and his knowledge of the market and his degree in economics don't hurt either. I can't wait to see the liberals eating crow when he wins. Here's a pretty good article on the whole Arnold thing: http://www.rppi.org/totalrecall3.html[/url] Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin

  22. Hi, everyone. New to the site and to the sport. I'm a pupil of AggieDave's. Shoutout to everyone at Skydive Aggieland! Just a friendly reminder to everyone to watch out for trees! Remember, your left hand makes an "L". - Lefty Provoking a reaction isn't the same thing as saying something meaningful. -Calvin
