Nice Pictures! I love close ups of flowers. I tried myself; hope you don't mind if I join the party. I took these with my Canon Powershot A560. It's a point and shoot. The first picture was taken at Balboa Park in San Diego and the rest were taken at the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. The last 2 are my favorites. Abso-freaking-lutely. It's not Christmas until I've seen it or listened to it (it's on my iPod as well - and I listened to it on my way home from Thanksgiving dinner). But, I must say that the "Light the lamp, not the rat!" part from The Muppets Christmas Carol cracks me up. My sister and I saw Rent, the movie last night (we've never seen the theater show). We turned to each other about 30 seconds after the first song ended and said this is bad (as in not good as a movie). I'm sure that it has got to be much better in the theater. I was counting the minutes until it was over. I thought that the cast was very good and the music was fantastic, but they should never turn plays into movies. There's something about it that just doesn't work for me. My sister thinks that it is because I couldn't/didn't accpet it as a "musical" rather than a movie with singing. She liked it. I was bored, and yes, I have seen other musicals in theater (not movies) and liked them. Sara was one of the nicest sweetest people you'd ever meet. Every time I made it down to CK we'd try to find a minute to chat (and usually did). She always had a huge smile on her face and you couldn't help but smile with her. I'm going to miss seeing her at CK. It just won't be the same. My deepest sympathies go out to you, Yonothan and Sara's family and all who knew and loved her. I did not know Ron, but my sympathies go out to all who knew and loved him as well.
