  1. That amaish man is friends of a local skydiver from that DZ and area. He made a jump and one other man made an observation ride. they both really enjoyed each event of the boogie. The guy who did the tandem could not zip his jumpsuit up because they are not allowed to have zippers, the TM had to zip it for him.. very funny to see. When the amaish man landed I was there and his friend the local jumper asked was it worth it to go to hell. and the amaish replied "you would know better then I" and if you knew the local skydiver you could fully understand the statement better! After the jump all the families loaded back into horse and buggy carts and went on with life. The amaish come by that DZ often and they are great people, they also attend area airshows and enjoy those as well. Jimmy coiner was at the boogie so I am sure that he cleared the amish guy to jump and not go to hell for his actions.(see events and places to jump hillbilly thread about jimmy C) Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  2. I still walk with a gimp today for that one. still sorry about that Jimmy. It will never happen again. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  3. I saw some girl walk up and just plant a big ol kiss on Jimmy and then just walked away. Jimmy seemed bothered by the attention because he just wanted to pack his rig and get on another load. Later a diffrent hot blonde walks up and does the same thing.. that Jimmy had girls on him all weekend, I don't understand how he does it, but he is like the skydiving fonz I guess! 4. friday the weather was good. a little windy, but good. The chopper was inflight as well as mullins, no balloons to be had as the winds where just to much. I am off to work so I can't tell you about Saturday. Jimmy Coiner (midwest freefly legend) is there and from what I understand the ladies can't keep thier hands off of him. Rumor mill has it that when he lands and trys to pack his gear the girls flock to the packing hanger and kiss on him while he trying to pack. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  5. Ken we like it when you explain every post, it makes the posyt look really big and the boogie will look very big! Mid-west legend Jimmy Coiner will be at the boogie and Arkansas' favorite skydiver Ken will be at the boogie this wekend. Be sure to make a jump with these guys. My girlfriend is at the boogie right now and has jumped the chopper and is on her third load of the day as I type. Sounds like the crowd is growing and the boogie is going great already. 6. why are there no other options? do you have to give her up? is she trying you to much, chewing stuff and all of that puppy activity? If you take her to the pound she will be killed, unless you take her to a no kill shelter she will be done. Older dogs don't stand a chance sometimes. We adopted a dog that could have been hell, but we worked her into a great dog and she is awesome and I would not trade her for a million dollars. She cost us 15$ from the shelter and we have almost 5,000$ into her vet needs, but would not give her up for anything. Keep the dog, and if you can't then try an adoption agency for dogs.... 7. Cool. I just did not understand. But I did hear that mid west legend Jimmy Coiner will be at the hillbilly boogie this weekend. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  8. I really don't know what you are talking about here, you seem to have lost me. If you read my post it would be rare for me to use the f-bomb so your statement is confusing to me and as far as my talent. do you even know me to make judgement on my talents, because I don't know you. I would have contacted you in a pm, but you do not have that activated in your profile. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  9. Shhhhhh.. Sonny no one should know I am a minister. It makes it look bad when I go streaking the DZ. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  10. Dude....believe it or not we went to a burger joint called Red Robin. Trust me, we couldn't believe we were actually eating hamburgers, especially me, after seeing that. What can I say, we were in the mood for a good o'l burger I sometimes wonder how we go out for food after working a nasty scene, but you just go on with life eat dinner go back to the station and click on the tv or read your book. 11. Well the law states that you can't jump out of it. thats an FAA issue. You call it an intro flight. All powered parachute flights have to be learning flights and the pilot has to be an AFI (advanced flight instructor). The owner has to have a comercial rating and the aircraft has to have an N#. When I worked for Powrachute and did all those jumps from the PPC we had an green card from the feds with it all as a govt contract was in the works. Hope this helps. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  12. Fletcher you need to edit this post! You have listed the powered parachute as a jump aircraft. The powered parachute is not a legal jump aircraft and although I did jump many times from one while working in that industry we had an expemption and the aircraft had an N Number as well as a comercial pilot in comand. 13. Saturday I worked a low speed motorcycle vs the earth crash and transported two. Back passenger leg was torn to the bone above knee and small road rash. Drive had a bleed in his head and who knows where else. broken back and road rash like none other. No helmets and etoh plus they had been smoking pot! Later that night we ran a hit and run or should I say hit and drug the drug dealer down the street call. A drug deal gone bad turns into the drug dealer getting drug by an SUV about one block and then run over. he was a mess! large sack of bones but still alive. Saturday was busy and I work in a small town, we had many other calls that night but those two are along the lines of what Orangejumper saw and all where dumb asses! Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  14. Very well I can except that and I am sorry this is my apology in public. It was just ironic that the manifest staff from the dz you work at makes a post of speculation of what happend at the new KC skydive center and then you make a post as well. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  15. I was not there but I did speak with Paul this weekend and he told me of the event and the sheriff did make it to the dz. he did not make any arrest or issue any tickets. Skydiving went on and so has life, I would encourage persons like tresspassing1 to get a life and go on with it as well as no one here cares what they have to say. Hippie cain I do find it amazing that you and fireballgrl come out of the wood work at the same time when KC threads come up. ironic that both of you jump at the a diffrent kc area DZ. just an observation and nothing more. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  16. Once more fireballgrl (Jenny, manifester for skydive kansas city in butler mo) has "Just the facts". And yes that is refrence to your past user name in the old KC threads. www.greenboxphotography.com
  17. oh he was. He got trashed out of his mind and passed out on the floor saturday night. The freefly legend got trashed out and passed out.. how crazy is that guy anyway? I hear tales of a wild party at ksupc this weekend, sounds like I missed a good boogie. I hate working 24 hr shifts on saturdays, I miss all the good stuff! Jimmy C passesd out, hopefully there are pics to be posted of this event! Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  18. wish I was at the boogie today but I am working. I hope that the weather holds for you as well. I hear that the midwest legend Jimmy Coiner is going to be in attendance. How cool is that? Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  19. I'm not sure I follow this line of reasoning. reply] My thought is that there was simply something foriegn left in the pack job. no matter what it is, kleenex of packing wieght it is not something that is supposed to be in there. And to top it all off this cam from the manufactures loft not some guys basement! Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  20. did it man, and it was awesome.. I will never regret walking away. I did it on my anniversery date of employment with that company as well.. got really drunk at lunch adn went back for an hour and then just walked out the door. Went home, got some sleep and then took off for awhile. Big advantage I had was I owned my home and did not have to pay for storage. It also made it easy on me because evntually I made it back home. but what a great year that was, just wish it was longer. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  21. Rehmwa I was unsure what to do about the kleenex. So I posted the topic and then looked at a few answers from outside sources. I would have liked to have contacted the last rigger, but I was at a bit of a snag with that one because the rig was wet and the packing data cards where taken out of the rig by the owner before I got the rig. So I did not know who packed the rig last and had to make a new packaging data card for the rig. The owner is a friend of mine so I have a talk with him about what I found and how we should handle it and how I would prefer to take care of this situation. Part of me wanted to keep it between myself and the other rigger, but I also felt that to be unfair to my customer as he is also my close friend. Since the rigs last repack was done by the rig manufacture then I felt I would allow him to do as he wished with finding stuff inside. His choice was to let it go and move along in life. not really a big deal to him. did this situation depend on what was inside the rig, packing wieght vs kleenex? No in my mind there is little diffrence. If I was the rigger would I prefer that someone contact me and not tell my customer. No I want al parties to be involved and I would take the blame as needed. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  22. well rehmwa I agree that it is hard to get worked up over a kleenex unless you consider that this came from a possibly unclean packing area, this was debris that was picked up into this canopy from a floor.. what else is on the floor and what kind of rigger works in that enviroment? To me it shows that this rigger has poor workmanship and does not care about where he works and that could be reflected in the pack job as well. As far as how many riggers on here "can happy to anyone" question. I am not foolish enough to think that this could not happen to me. However i do take pride in the fact that I keep my rigging area clean and I count all my tools. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  23. Well despite what Psipike02 has to say, Kansas is a wonderous place and to explain it here is impossible. the sterotypes abound about the state and it's easy to do because most everyone has seen the wizard of oz and thats all anyone can come up with. it's not even thier own statement or thought, just a crutch they have to fall back on because thats all they seem to know. Kansas is a great place and I am happy to call this state my home. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  24. Here in kansas the armadillos are just starting to show up more and more, I don't know much about them but I do know about turtles. they are pretty good to eat as well. But I would urge you to be carefull when picking up turtles. snapping turtles can get you and you could possibly loose a finger in the process. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  25. Well turtles are on the move to mate and thats the deal.. simple as that. Be carefull if you are feeling like you want to help, if you decide to mess with a snapping turtule you could have problems. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
