I just showed our dvd to a couple SVO instructors and they both busted out laughing. i look over and Ari's shirt is doing it's dance up and down his torso. Thanks for the great memories La. With more and more FFer spending lots of time in tunnels, they are using full faces more often now in there, and in the air too. Quite possibly. I've only done a couple of head-up jumps with my Z1 and it hasn't opened, but that's not exactly a statistically significant sample. I've never had mine pop open in the tunnel and my bf has only had very few issues w. it opening, most on RW training jumps. The massages are a fantastic idea at a boogie. We had Rita giving rubs at Tunnel For The Cause and she was kind enough to donate half the profits. It raised us a good amount of money we might have missed out on. If anyone else in your group has a talent like massage, get them to the dz also and see if you can stir up some need for their services. I have a friend who does those cartoon drawings of people (I can't spell characture, or whatever ) and she is going to lend her services this year at TFTC. Something like that might be fun so people can get pics w. their gear, colors, etc. RAFFLE!!!!! Always easy to get gift certs. from restaurants, putt-putt, movie theaters, movie rental places, etc. I wouldn't rule out car washes, in college we made almost $700 from 10am -3pm. 'Anything for $ parties' were always fun. It was cool to see the frat boys faces on the different denomination fake bills. I think they just took Monopoly money and pasted head shots on them and hit up Kinkos. There was always rumor that the girl w. the most money would win a bottle of liquor but it never seemed to happen - the freshman girls really got angry when they found out they had been had. Maybe the person w. the most $ could win a jump or something. The parties were always pretty crazy and fun. Not sure if it goes w. the vibe or people at the dz since I've yet to visit you guys. I only hear good things but not sure if this was what you were looking for. I've been out to the west coast 5 times in the last year but never made it past Vegas. I've been climbing 3-4 days a week and doing power yoga in a heated room 2 days a week. I usually get some tunnel flying in there also. I'm really digging the climbing. Ari is an amazing climber so I love going w. him and learning a ton. Before I busted my hip I used to rollerblade all the time and loved it. I'm a little wobbly on them now but oh well, you make due. Also boxing is a great work out. Since moving to Orlando, I have to find a new gym. It works your whole body and you get to take your frustration out on a bag or hand pads. Tunnels used for skydiving training and bodyflight are VERTICAL wind tunnels not horizontal. When you strap on a wingsuit you loose vertical and gain horizontal making the suit not that condusive for WVT. Here is a picture of Joao in a wingsuit in Orlando. Scroll down a bit to see his pic and you'll notice someone is holding his feet from the door. Don't waste your time w. a wingsuit. Learn how to fly your body first. At 35 jumps and no tunnel, you have a lot of learning to do before adding suits and toys. No beer for first tunnel offenses.
