That's the best part of these forums. We can openly share good and negative experiences about coaches (well, let me rephrase that, you can share negative ones but you'll probably be belittled. I took a big hit so others who learn like me can benefit.). This way, people who learn like you, or me, or anyone else, can match their flying and learning style to the coach that best fits their needs. You need both good and negative feedback I think when selecting a coach. Negative feedback doesn't mean they aren't a good coach, it means you work better with someone else, for some other reason. Don't worry about percentages, just fly! Your coaches will do the rest and get you flying with others in no time. Address these concerns and questions to your coach. They are helping you through your progression and have more valid/constructive comments than anyone on here who has never or barely seen you fly. Esp. Brad cause he kicks ass and I'm sure would jump on the chance to answer these ?'s and work with you. Please tell Brad I said hello and send my love. Give him a BIG hug for me too!

Once, I got a.... "Whoa, I didn't think you were that short." He he he, it's always fun when we get .comers at the tunnel. Since I only have 78 skydives people don't really know how I fly. By no means am I am amazing flyer but I can hold my own with some of the bigger boys and girls. Their reactions are priceless. Aparently some jaws were dropped this weekend when Ari and I were doing some fun flying. I do have to admit, Rehmwa, was a total surprise. He'd always reply to my posts, usually with another point of view that I had not thought of. He's great for the forums but sometimes I'd wish he could jsut agree with me once. Since I've met him, I know his humor now and I think he may have agreed with me on a few things. I love reading his posts, he's got great input and advice. He's also an amazing guy who made me feel so welcome on their tunnel sessions for TPM inductions and fun flying. We all had a blast while they traied for 4-way, silly belly flyers

I've paid my dues and most certainly don't have to explain myself to you. There are tons of reasons why this could be the case. Do you have experience with tunnel openings? Have you been around this sport to see a few (I'm not trying to argue or be sarcastic here, really just trying to inform others)? If you (and others) haven't: the dates are always being pushed back, delayed, not started, or just messed up for one reason or another, investors and those with $ can be crazy sometimes, and other times there is no forseen reason for things happeneing as they do. It's an industry that seems to be full of delays. Maybe you should withhold judgment till the facts are in? I don't know what the situation is exactly but it's not really our business. The tunnel will be open when it's open. I know currently in Orlando the city is what's holding all new construction back. There are so many new structures and not enough inspectors. Maybe Laurie has done all she can and is waiting on the powers that be? Laurie is doing a magnificant job of getting the tunnel open and updating this thread like crazy for all of us drooling to get out there. Let's stay positive and supportive of those trying to grow and better the industry

It's not that serious. Many people think the IBA is a big joke. Regardless, it's a nice system to get an idea of where your students are in a progression. Your coach will be able to do this in a few minutes of tunnel Ask for Mick if you fly during the day and Pun if you fly at night. They are amazing flyers and coaches.
