it takes a real man to eat humble pie, my advice it to write a letter to the cci and repeat your post. (he drinks guinness)i cant speak for him as to what his answer would be. its his judgment call, as for your cutaway you were 100% correct to do so as you "thought" you could not land your canopy safely. i always tell my students that. the more experienced you get the better you will be able to deal with problems. check ins at the ipc are done by a cci not the manifest as this was the case on the day. also your mate a respected jumper with 2500 jumps was able to vouch for you as he had coached you in the past. lets hope we can all learn from this. lets hope that you get back jumping and attend our first boogie at the end of july. the irish parachute club is unique. its a dz run by skydivers for skydivers. we are very proud of our student program and are training skydivers for 52 years. btw i sometimes brick it and i have almost 1000 jumps blue skies ray smullen ,affi ,tm info@skydive.ie www.skydive.ie

im an affi at the ipc . you were told of the situation when you arrieved, we were down our pc6 and the regulars were told there would have free hop and pops for 3 hours when the tandems were finished. yes of course henry you were right to cut away if you even thought you had a malfunction. that was not the problem. it was your attitude to the cci when he questioned you about it. he was just trying to educate you but instead you got the hump up and started to fire abuse at him and the manifester, then you were asked to leave. just for the record you did not have a mal on inspection of the main.there was no line over and no brake lock, one toggle was left perfectly stowed. your problem was you released one toggle and the canopy started to turn. i believed you paniced and cut away. remember your first jump you were told to release both toggles and pump brakes. you should listen to advice from instructors as it might save your life some day. drop the attitude there are enough skygods in the sport

my rig was one of those stolen. it was a vector3 only 2 weeks old. it had only 2 jumps on it.
