They never put enough sugar in the kool-aid.

Jump #31 Broken ankle after a hard landing. The result of a canopy collision/wrap. The other jumpers cutaway main entalgeled in my reserve, spinning me into the ground. 3 operations and 8 months off. Over 200 jumps since then, no incidents.

Huh, I had my eyes done today too. The doc said he'd never seen pupils get that big before. So big that he could see the flap from the lasik a year ago. Luckilly it was overcast today, still wore the shades anyway. I've never gotten a headache from it. That would suck.

Happy 22nd Birthday Kim!!!! -
I had the pleasure of being a passenger when Dave was getting his tandem rating. One of the most fun jumps I ever had. He was a great person with a true passion for the sport. I will cherish the memories I have of big Dave! Prayers to his family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all those involved. You will be sorely missed! Blue skies forever... -
Yeah! The guy right after me flinched while they were cutting the flap!! They had to put it back and tell him to come back when it's healed. Glad it happened AFTER me. I think being a contact lens wearer prior to surgery helps. You're already used to sticking things in your eye, so it's no big deal when they do it.

I had custom LASIK done for $1350 per eye. That was the discounted price through my insurance. Otherwise it was $1900 per eye. Worth every penny. I had 20/10 vision at my exam last week.

I've lost one contact a number of times in freefall. Only once have I lost both!! I'm -4.00 in both eyes. Needless to say that was an interesting landing, but I stood it up! I have been using Flex-Z's and they seemed to minimize the amount of wind. My problem was my eyes would dry out, I would blink, and out they came. Just had LASIK done 2 weeks ago. Looking forward to getting back up in the air. If I didn't get LASIK, I would have gone for the Rx goggles.
