  1. The Celeb quotes are pretty funny. "See, the problem is that God gives men a brain and a penis, and only enough blood to run one at a time!!!!!" Robin Williams Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeit!!! I have always thought this quote was funny... "Women may be able to fake an orgasm but men can fake whole relationships." Sharon Stone Or this one... "I will never get married again. I am just going to find a women I don't like and buy her a house." Rod Stewart "Women complain about premenstrual syndrome, but I think of it as the only time of the month that I can be myself." Roseanne And this is one of my personal favorites... "My mother never saw the irony of calling me a son-of-a-bitch." Jack Nicholson Blue Skies and Sandy Beaches Starz

  7. Lindsay nailed it!!!! Do a flat/brake turn. This should keep you from becoming a Lawn Dart. Blue Skies and Sandy Beaches Starz
  8. WOW!!!!!!!!!That's one I never heard of. Did you pull-in the bridle and PC or was the position sufficient enough to avoid the dreaded intanglement? Blue Skies and Sandy Beaches Starz
  9. If you have a pilot-chute-in-tow should you try and pull it out or hook knife it before you go for the silver?? I know that reserve main intanglements are a bitch and can result in a not to favorable outcome. Your thoughts...... Blue Skies and Sandy Beaches Starz
  10. You are still On-Line???? GO TO BED!!! Have a great time jumping tomorrow. Where do you jump. I am a S.F.V. boy. Graduated from Chatsworth High. Just curious if you do Elsinore or Perris. Starz Blue Skies and Sandy Beaches Starz
  11. I do not believe anyone experiencing a mal is thinking about money. SO....... can we drop (no pun intended) that one? Michelle, I do not know the details of your spin.It sounds like you were stiff/not relaxed. A completely relaxed body in a relaxed/arched position should not spin, unless you were thrusted from a chop. Even then you would eventually fall stable, given you have the altitude to recover. I think one of the most unnatuaral things a human can do is relax in a emergency situation. It's a known fact that your vision can decrease, your dexterity (mental and physical) becomes limited in these scenarios. You pulled and lived to talk about it...GOOD JOB!!! My Sky-U coach always stressed breathing and relaxing. I remember the first time I flipped (oops)onto my back. There I was starring at the blue sky when I wanted to be looking at the farm land below. I was scared to death. I arched with my back to the relitive wind and (what seemed like an eternity)came back belly to earth in a matter of seconds. Have a great rest of the weekend :) Nerves of steel and stay relaxed Blue Skies and Sandy Beaches Starz

  13. I was concerned about the lack of gear/anotomy training I received at my DZ. I didn't know the differance between a A line and a D line until I had over 85 jumps. There is so much to learn. The key is not to be critical but informed. Get Parachutst magazine, Skydive Magazine, read these Safety and Training Forums (They are great!!!)talk to experienced jumpers who have "been there done that". Devour evry bit of information you can get your hands on. It may save your life some day. Starz Blue Skies and Sandy Beaches DSF
  14. Good point!!! If the line-over had not cleared on the fourth tug/hail mary, I would have said "Bye Bye" to my main. My immediate response after it cleared was "Thank God I don't have to chop" I then did my control check, control check, control check. I was just under 2000 AGL and flying great. I had no idea how badly my legs were shaking until I stood up on them. Thanks Spectre230 and everyone else for all your input. This is a awesome Forum for sharing leg shakers. 15. One of the most profound statements I remember from my initial training was....... "Your gear will not fail you, you will fail you". Nerves of steel are essential. Stick to your training no matter what....unstable/back to earth/spinning whatever. If you feel you cannot execute what your coaches have taught you.......stay out of the air. DSF
  16. Would like some input as to what you would do in a similar situation. Jump 22, major Line over, spin started slow (Sabre 260) and progressed into a serious G force spin. I was completely aware and ready to react. I pumped the breaks one time...nothing happened,,,,pumped them again......nothing... another short bang ......looked up still spinning. At this point I could feel the G forces in my leg straps. My altitude was 2600 AGL at this point and I said to myself "I do not want my first reserve ride" and pulled one more time really hard (the fourth time). Thank God the line over came across the top of the canopy and I was flying straight. This happened to be a coach jump with Sky-U. His opinion was ,you watched your altitude and cleared your malfunction...."good job". The trainer at the school said..."you should have cut away immediately, because you have no idea how much damage the line caused when it strafed across the top of the canopy". What would you have done? Starzwithaz

You know what they say....(you gotta love the say people) "Knowledge is Power". That is what I love about this sport, no matter who you are or where you come from, the camradarie is maintained. Buy that TM a beer!!! Blue Skies and Sandy Beaches Starzwithaz
  18. I totally agree. The parisians were "Snooty"? that's being kind.I found them to be down right A.. H.... Although I likened it to any large city like Manhattan. Everyone is business, business and rush, rush. It dosen't help if you are "American". According to the city likes, we are all rich and too clean. We actually take a shower everyday, imagine that!. Once we got out of town and into the country the people were Awesome. We actually ran into some old folks who thanked us (that would be the U S of A)for saving their A.. in WWI. If you ever go back, stay out of Paris. It will be doing all concerned a favor. Blue Skies and Sandy Beaches Starzwithaz
  19. lost my stomach for the first time on jump 105 but it wasn't in freefall. Last load of the day. All local boys and DZ employees. With a light load (13 on the super otter) we passed through 14,500. We were all hooting and high fiven when one of the guys in the back of the plane shouted to the pilot to get his attention. The pilot turned to see the jumper grinning from ear-to-ear making a porpoise motion with both hands. The pilot smiled turned around in his seat and sent the the otter into a negative G dive for about 10 seconds. It was awesome!!!!We all became weightless, as though we were in space. The entire group was drifting towards the open door, laughing and grasping for anything we could get a hold of. The pilot new exactly how hard to dive for us to stay afloat without stuffing us into the ceiling. The recovery caused equal positive G's. He then proceede to 15,200 and we all went out to play. This is one for the logbook. I wanted to share this with everyone and remind you to buy a beer or two for those cool dudes who take us up to play. Blue Skies and Sandy Beaches Starzwithaz Ps. Thanks everbody for the tips on how to get out of "Spell Check Hell" This is the one I lost.
  20. I hit the back browser button and it returns me to a new/empty post. Thanks for the help jason. Maybe my computer has had to many beers. I will re-type the post tomorrow Goodnight Starzwithaz
  21. Input a Post and went to Spell Check and have no idea how to return to POST/CONTINUE. HELP Dieing to post!!!!
  22. You are right !!! here is the rib. In my personal opinion SL is B... S... If you can avoid it do. AFF is more safe and is actually skydiving vs a canopy ride. You will progress 100% faster going the AFF route. My 2 cents Blue skies and sandy beaches DSF
  23. Congrats!!!!! Thanks for sharing the moment. Relish the feeling,,,,,,this stuff is rare and it's free (almost) :-) What DZ? DSF
  24. Smart move on the AFF vs static line. My first three jumps were on S.L. until I pulled up Sky Dive Arizona's web site to find they don't even offer it. The largest DZ in the world and they say B... S... to S.L. I totally agree. If you get to AZ/Eloy let's go fly. Starzwithaz@yahoo.com
  25. I was amazed that no one in AZ had picked DROPZNE for their vanity plate. It's mine NOW!!!!!Suckers................... HE HE.............. Blue Skies & Sandy Beaches DSF
