Actually, islamist terrorists attacked France a long time before 9/11. Paris has suffered 2 major terrorist attacks in 95, one in the subway, the other on surface street. A plane also got hijacked in Marseille in 94. All those attacks are due to Algerian terrorists. London suffered a major attack as well, in 2005, in the subway too. Madrid's subway got bombed too in 2004.

True, indeed. However, once the malware is installed, there's not much you can do since 99% of XP accounts are root. I also believe blocking every software trying to acces internet on the port 80 by displaying pop ups going "are you sure?", followed by a "really? are you sure you are sure?" a "dude, you're going to blow up your pc..." and finally a "ok ok, I allow the connection, but don't wine afterwards 'cause you have viruses" will very quickly lead to a "screw the firewall, allow every outbound connection" reaction from the unaware user

Windows has its own integrated firewall, which is active by default since SP2, so it's kinda pointless having another one, unless you're the kind of guy to wear both belt and suspenders at the same time And I certainly hope it won't let anything through unless you allow it, cause that actually what a firewall is meant to do...

if you have 17 jumps, you'll be buying a few canopies before actually needing and being able to safely fly some swoop dedicated equipment. Swooping requires very good pilot skills, and it'll take you at least a few hundred jumps to get them. So, right now, just go with a freefly friendly rig, you'll spend some extra bucks on a high performance canopy, RDS etc. later. Otherwise, to answer your question, yes, you can freefly with a swoop canopy. Just remember that "Canopies don't swoop. Good pilots swoop.". It might prevent you from living what some call the "nurse fantasy"
