Jessica, Franklin batting gloves, $14.95 the pair at Target. You can get them in Youth sizes which will fit you quite well. They are thin, tackified leather and perfect for skydiving.

I've had Lynn dirt dive kiss passes in front of me. Does it bother me? Nah, a kiss pass is a kiss pass. Same goes for a hug and kiss on greeting skydiving friends -- to us, it's a part of the feeling of community we have. Of course if the kiss lasts for five minutes...

Happy Birthday, Kid!

0:0:0 Much rain in N. Cent. Fl this weekend and many clouds. We're really not complaining, because we need the rain. Do NOT want a repeat of the summer of '98. Course it would be nicer if we got the stuff during the freaking week!

A-freakin'-men! I thought after the terrific Western Conference Finals that the Cup Finals would be a letdown. These guys are proving me way wrong, and I love it! If you are a hocky fan at all, you have to love these games. Irbe and Hasek are really sharp. Everyone is hitting and passing and shooting well, the victories are well earned. No cheap goals at all so far. Still stand by the Wings, but instead of in 6, I have to think in 5 or 7, depending on how Carolina rebounds from the events of this (early) morning.

[quotw]What is the best solution if you have slinks and type 8 risers (2")? I would say that depends on the slider. I don't have slinks, but my Safire's massive slider with its large grommets has no problem at all coming down on my Type 8 risers.

Got a little confused there, eh, Clay?

No presales for baloon jumps. Number of slots is too limited, I believe.

Don't care for "Me, too!" posts, but as feedback is requested. It is much faster for me, too.

Get Jimmy Olander to bring his band.

For those of you who haven't visited the WFFC homepage today -- Rod Tinney and the 412 have been moved from the "pending" column into the "confirmed" column. The madness will continue! Those attending the convention for the first time will be in for a treat we were afraid they would miss.

Bill, I had a bit of trepidation upon seeing the title of this thread, after the past couple weeks. I did cry while reading your post; it brought back memories of my return and all the emotions involved in that. Molly was hurt worse than I was but I really can sympathize with what she felt and Lynn understands your point of view all too well. Our congratulations to Molly -- welcome home!

1) TLML is at work. I don't like to go to the DZ w/o her. 2) I woke with a headache behind my right eye -- tears keep streaming down my face and I'm not even sad! 3) My hip hurts 4) My back aches 5) I didn't win the lottery last night All in all, a typical Sunday for me.

Pretty much the same here. wx is beautiful, my hip hurts and I didn't sleep well last night so I played it safe and stayed on the ground. Posting and reading dz.com is a poor substitute on such a fine day. HH, I really appreciate the site, but it just doesn't cut it in reality.

No, it's Alex Trebek.

Go Wings!

MIke Michigan flat packs his Stilletto and had no problems with it at all. Your friend may need to revisit his packing techniques. BTW, Mike also jumps a spring-loaded pilot chute.

I guess our (TLML and me) secret is out! My Safire is lemon with blackberry(read -- purple) ribs and stabilizers, hers is the inverse.

Fromage et Trois -- French for three people eating cheese.

Andrea, That's great to hear. I was talking with Mike on Saturday and he was really looking forward to the jump. For those who don't know (and to update those who do) Mike "Maddog" Maguire had a180 degree off-heading opening on Christmas day, 2000 on a BASE jump off an antenna he had jumped many times before. This one resulted in him hitting high-tension lines and damn near killed him. He is still stiff from the resulting nerve damage, but is down to only using one crutch (more like a cane); the river jump was his first time in the air since.

Actually it IS wahoo! Fine eating and a real ball to catch. Glad you had a fine time.

Even if they don't have an inspector out to check repairs, the check will come with a statement to the effect that you will use the money for its stated purpose, i.e. repairing the car. If you sign the statement by signing the check, you will be liable for insurance fraud if you use the money for the rig. That would put you in trouble with the law, the insurance company and the leinholder on your car! No rig is worth that hassle!

That's why Scotsmen wear kilts. Sheep can hear a zipper a quarter mile away.

Ruwah was REALLY on, but so was The Dominator. He even got the first assist on the game winner! Never saw a goalie skate that fast end to end.

Apples and oranges. Have DISH in the RV. DirectPC is quite a different monster all together. Just for info, I am NOT talking about the type you mentioned, where you need a phone line for uplink -- the type I want is bidirectional satellite. It really kicks ass. I just have to be a bit patient for a couple more months.
