    Here's $.35 for your clue box -- the change is February will be from analog to digital signal transmission Over The Air. This has nothing to do with HD TV. True, HD signals are in digital format, but not all digital signals are HD. All that is needed for those few who still use OTA (and the numbers are truly statistically small) all that is needed is the converter box you can get for $10 with the govt. coupon. Sorry for the hijack, digital/analog/HD has nothing to do with the VIACOM/TW fight, but it is a sore point with me. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money.     I'm very sorry to hear that. It's hard to lose a long-time companion like that. I know that the good wishes from the folks here were a lot of help for me back in '04 when we lost our almost 20-year old Bugs, I hope the good wishes on this thread are of some comfort to you as well.

    Erk, I have all current M$ updates to IE7 and XP SP3 as of the posting of my report in E & BR, Avast is also up to date -- will check on Adobe if I can get this post to go through. It's funny that this is the only site affected that I have seen and all other functions are fine -- call me a skeptic; but I still feel site's management has become lax.

    See my entry in Errors and Bug Reports. This sort of thing did not happen until the new owners took over and started adding advertisers. Someone is not vetting the ads properly. Is the change to corporate ownership leading to the pursuit of the dollar at the cost of driving subscribers off? Sure looks that way from here.     The attached report came from Avast AV software while accessing the forums tonight -- the affected connection from the offending ad has been blocked and now I have to repeatedly refresh until it rotates out or I only get blank areas in the center of the page. (Head, foot and side banners still display). This was accompanied by a pop-up of a purported people finder. This is unacceptable. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money.     TLML and I celebrated our 40th anniversary this past August. Why? We like each other. We love one another's company. We respect each other.     They definetly should return it as it was sent -- with reserve pack in date; but I see no reason they should add, as you say "extra $$", if there was nothing damaged on the rig. Both parties took their chances on the "try n' buy"; if the decision is not to buy, fine. All should be returned to square one. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money.
