  1. All disiplines have their ups and downs. Believe it or not, Style and Acc was "the shit" at a time. Skysurfing gained it's popularity when freeflying was doing the same. Freeflying was more appealing and just squashed skysurfing. While the bigger more sponsored like beefed skysurfing into the xgames, freeflying was more commonplace at all DZ's. As scary as this thought is, swooping will loose it's appeal and eventually just become another disipline, taken over by the next 'big' thing. Fox
  2. Well i'm glad you can take it lightly, because when bad advice gets thrown into a relationship someone can get smacked. When bad advice gets thrown into skydiving, SOMEONE CAN GET KILLED! I hope your haphazard way of thinking that just because you didn't lead them to the water, it's not your fault if the waters poisoned; isn't as infectious in skydiving schools across the country. Like it or not, the vast majority of members are american, so you represent american skydiving. Didn't sign up for that? Tough. Better start lookin at what your shoveling. Fox
  3. Are all the lips in New France as brown? Fox
  4. In the reg forums you have alot of bad advice, but you have some great advice as well. U can usually pick out the bad from the good (usually by who posts) but even the great ones post a no no sometimes. With such few people overseeing these forums, your representation of american skydiving will be flawed at best. Just because i regestered today, doesn't mean i haven't been around. Fox
  5. Just use common sense when in the V. Make sure your reserve ripcord is the proper length as well as your rig. If your a fat bastard, make sure your not stretching your rig out bent over maxin out the cord. Pack responsible and you'll do just fine. Yes there have been incidents, and yes they were due to carelessness. They didn't get in the 'V' and "out of nowhere" the reserve fired. Out of somewhere they were careless. Fox
  6. Thats a big request, better talk to some locals. Fox
  7. "Natural Skydiver" is what an AFFI will tell you to get you through the course. He doesn't mean it, theres no such thing. Fox
