  2. Chicagoland isn't in Ixtapa, they are in Puerto Escondido. the DZ in Ixtapa used to be run by Skydive Chicago, but now it run but an Ixtapa local. The SDC staff helps out in the winter and some of the SDC jumpers head down there for the boogie.
  3. Where is the Mitt Romney option....he's my #1 so far. From your poll, my choice is Newt. I'd love to see him get the job.
  4. Think of me naked...that image tends help women stop thinking about sex!
  5. This day is coming soon, because Chuck Norris doesn't consider it sex if the woman survives!
  6. Superman wears Chuck Norris pajamas and my personal favorite... Chuck Norris’ sperm is so badass, he had sex with Nicole Kidman, and 7 months later she prematurely gave birth to a Ford Excursion.
  7. I looked to the experts...The Massachusetts Lobstermen's Association. This recipe is easy and tasty. You only need the sauce recipe...but the ravioli wasn't that hard to make...in case you feel adventurous next time. http://lobstermen.com/RECIPES/LobsterRavioli.html The recipe also works well if you want to add some diced tomato
  8. I don't recall seeing it in a thread, but I've seen this sticker in several places. http://www.stickergiant.com/page/sg/PROD/funsex/sb884

  11. you live in a country that just celebrated the 30th anniversary of The Pet Rock. I think your idea will sell just fine.
  12. There is nothing satisfying about seeing this guy behind bars. The work he does is dangerous and difficult. The capture of Andrew Luster was great day for justice....that guy is a scum bag! He told by US officials to skip out on the charges in Mexico. It's a shame to see the feds come busting down his door three years later. I hope Condi Rice can find some way to convince Mexico to drop this stupid charge.
  13. "--The risk of inherited lung cancer is greater for people who never smoked (2.48-fold risk) than for current smokers (1.73-fold risk). " Am I reading this correctly? If one of your parents had lung cancer, smoking actually reduces your chance of getting lung cancer.

  18. since my wages were not affected, my experience with illegal immigration doesn't count? I recommended people for jobs and they didn't get the job because it was given to an illegal...and you're saying I'm not directly affected by that? I took the initial post as a legitimate question to see how many people have been affected by illegal immigration. I understood it as not wanting to hear "I heard about this guy who..." or "according to the statistics". Which I like...those conversations tend to spread urban legends more than any real facts. My story was neither...it was based on people I worked with and companies I worked for. I talked to the illegals and to the legal people working next to them. Seeing my co-workers get screwed because management found a nice group of illegals...that affected me. Asking my friend why he didn't apply for a promotion and finding out the company won't promote him because he's illegal...that affected me. It changed the way I look at my friends, my coworker and my bosses. What bothers me more than illegal immigration is people who imply that I have not been affected by it just because I never lost a job because of it. If I misunderstood the orignal post, then I apologize for adding my two cents. An illegal immigrant has never taken my job, hit my car or dealt drugs to me.
  19. How about wages being kept below industry standards? Qualified citizens out of work? An environment where employees are afraid to ask for raises or complain about poor working conditions? Do those qualify as actual negatives? Three well qualified friends were turned down for jobs because someone with similar experience was looking for a lot less money. In one case a guy with 5 years experience was asking for the same money we would normally give to someone with no experience at all. Same skills and 15% lower pay...what company would pass that up? So my friend remains unemployed and illegal goes to work. After three years of working with another woman she walks in to HR and says that she now a legal citizen and wants to use her real name. So we fired the illegal name and hired the legal name...but we hired the legal name on at the original pay rate...so this woman lost all of her seniority, took a 10% pay cut and had to wait 60 days to get new health insurance. This happened often enough that the HR people were given a procedure to follow for this. We also had people doing manual labor that hadn't asked for a raise or promotion in 5 years. Through conversations, most people knew they were illegal. But they worked hard and never asked for more money. when we needed temp labor to get through the busy season these people we told that if knew anyone looking for work, they should bring them in the next day. illegals seemed to know other illegals. So we get a huge pile of guys working for $6/hr...real temps normally got paid $9/hr. my legal friends who worked along side these illegals were afraid to ask for a raise because they were afraid the company would just replace them with a low cost illegal. These people went two and three years without a raise. At the same time I'm getting 10% raises every year. So it's not like the company didn't have the money. The price of labor stays low, people are afraid to rock the boat for fear that they would get replaced by a hard working illegal who won't complain about long hours, low pay, unsafe work conditions, etc. These are real example that I have seen over the last ten years. Whether it happens all the time or not....I don't know. But I can tell you that I have been at four companies in the Chicago area operate like this. Why don't call INS about it? I have legal friends who would lose jobs and people I know in HR that might even go to jail. As the battle over illegal immigration heats up, I am getting closer and closer to making that call to INS. But I'm not there yet.
  20. Here's the way I know it. I don't know if it is the official version...but I heard at WFFC a lot!: hey asshole WHAT? Count off ONE (middle finger salute) Make room for the tandems FUCK THE TANDEMS! Who are the Rodriquez Brothers? FUCK THE RODRIGUEZ BROTHER...MUFF MUFF MUFF
  21. I find it funny that you want to reject the information simply because it is coming from a belly flyer. But that's a whole different conversation. The ankle weights thing isn't my idea...I know a half dozen people who used this technique to help them learn to sit. Not sure where they learned it, but it seems to work. Wearing weights is not neccesary for freeflying, just as it is not neccesary to fly on your belly. Learn to fly your body. However, wearing weights can be a great tool for belly flying, and they might be a useful tool for freeflying. The question is how do you use the tool? The difference in this case is that for freeflying the weight is not being used to adjust fall rate. It is being used to help teach proper body position. The ankle weights made it easier for these people to keep their feet underneath them...which has already been identified as one of the problems for beginning sit flyers. The extra couple pounds helped overcome the weak legs issue. The weight help push your feet down, putting you in the right position. That means you are now able to focus on learning how to control your fall rate with your hips and the angle of bend in your knees. The concern about hurting the back seems real, but none of the people I've talked to have had a back problem. I suspect if you strap 20 pounds to each ankle, you might have a problem...hell, you'll have trouble walking to plane! But 3-5 pounds doesn't appear to be a problem. If someone already has back or knee problems, then this might be a bad idea. Using weights to make you fall faster, no way. But if you are having trouble keeping your feet underneath you when try to push your feet down, this might help. Once you get your feet in the right spot, you can use your hips and change the amount of bend in your knees to adjust your fall rate. Once you get the feel of the body position, try it without the weights. And for the love of god, don't use so much weight that it screws up your back! Start with a couple pounds and see how it feels.
  22. you shouldn't need weights when you sit. Some of fastest sit-flyer I know are tall skinny people. Start out with no weights and see how it goes. What I have seen some people do is wear ankle weights when they start to sit-fly. The extra weight helps them keep thier feet down. Not keeping the feet down seems like the most common problem for new sit-flyers. That just helps with learning to sit, it is not a fall rate aid, like it is when you fly on your belly.
