  1. Hi People, A few evenings ago I was sitting in the Skydiving School (The pub...) and during a conversation about canopies and their openings, a senior stated that the packing of the slider plays a more important role then what we realize. He went on to tell how his openings improved by simply pulling out his slider an inch or two more then normal. I noted the same while experimenting with different positions of the slider during packing (pulled out completely, quaterizing it, rolling it in the tale, cupping it, who knows what else...) My question: is there any literature about the effects of different slider positions while packing? Do different canopies require different slider positions during packing? If so, why? The DZ is very easy to get to, just off the I94. You are welcomed with open arms by all the staff members. The facility is kept clean and very respectable. The people go out of their way to assist visitors and there's always a smile! King Air with very comfy seating and a smooth hop to the top. AWESOME view of the Michigan lake on a clear day. They have my thumbs-up, both of them! :-D
