Agreed but what if finding out the answer is life changing as this is. If you have kids and don’t like kids you will be a bad father and that’s something I would never want to be. If I can’t be the best for my kids I don’t want to be a dad. Is it worth the risk to have a kid to see wow your mind changed or didn’t. I am pretty good at making decisions but it is so hard when it is someone else’s life. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

No I am not going to be a dad. I am a bit old school and wouldn't like to be a dad unless I was married ( I know sometimes it is really not a choice). I have never liked kids. A lot of people I know have always told me your mind will change once you have one. Yea sorry my writing skills are not good at all. Did any guys here really not want children or was not to trilled about it, but when they did have there kids they had a total change of heart and not just because they were responsible people and took care of there kids, but because they really had a change of heart and realized they love kids. If we had a mens forum I would post this there. I have never liked kids. Even as a kid I didn’t act like your normal kid and always hung out with older friends. Here is my question. Did any of you really not like/want kids and after you had them your emotions changed. Or did you have a kid and just feel responsible for your child but not particularly happy about it. Well i don't know if this counts but in Iran they take all the kids(boys only) in high school to military training and there is actually a book you study. So i have been to boot camp for 4 weeks in 4 years I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Hey Jennifer As you know I just moved from NY to RI. I did not live in NYC but have been there many times. It is defiantly fun. There is always something to do. Main thing that I would warn you about is the expense. Not just living but every thing make sure you make more money a lot more cause you will need more money to have the same life style in NYC. I have also moved from Iran to the US and back 4 times in my life. It is defiantly going to take at least a year for every thing to seem normal and to find friends and local hang outs. It is funny how important these thing can be when you don’t have them. The good news is your only a 2-3 hour ride away from RI. Depending on how much you want to loose. If you want to loose 20-30 lbs. You can get that done in about 1-2 months with Atkins diet. Please keep in mind it is a chemical diet so it means no salt, no Carbs, no sugar. Not even a bite. I have lost 7 lbs. in one week and 1 pond the other because of one slice of bread. So absolutely none. You can have Eggs, meat and vegetables. I recommend speed walking running if you can. It is very hard to have energy when you are on the Atkins but it is really important to work out and build muscle, or you will gain it all back and more very fast. If you go to the gym there is equipment that will burn more calories and is a lot less strenuous then running. I like the elliptical machine you kind of have to find what you like.
