The one thing to realize as a truth is this. Any company that is a publicly traded corporation has one goal Profit. The debate is as simple as that. Is profit worth more then a humane life? Now you might think that the profit is what makes medical science go forward you would be correct if we were talking about not paying the doctors and the many people who develop or make equipment. However that’s not the case what we or at least I am talking about is a public option. That means the people who make money of administrating health the dr. nurses, health engineers would still get paid the people who would not get paid are the insurance companies who do not provide any service other then being the middle man. Where does the money for a public option come from? All of us as a nation we decide that we do not want any citizen to have to choose between food, or health care. I personally can not see any thing more patriotic then that. The argument against it lacks common sense. We understand that prevention is cheaper then a cure, we know that anyone ANYONE who has an emergency weather a car accident or as a result of symptoms going untreated who ends up needing help will get it. They will be helped in an emergency room. If they don’t have the money guess what we end up paying for it anyway we don’t tell them to suffer and die. No civilized nation does. The Issue is with the people whose loyalty to there party or side is more then their loyalty to their country, brain, or logic that’s the issue. That’s the BIG issue-no discussion and an absolute lack dignity and integrity. If you cant come up with a logical argument why you stand for what you do, or if your reasons change only depending on who is saying what and not actually listening to what they are saying then well you have what we have here. Whenever I see anyone make such a blanket statement I write their opinion off. 1. Because if you forgot what the country was like when he took over it tell me you have a selective memory and your opinion is not dependent on the facts 2. If you are aware of what shape the country was in then you have extremely unrealistic goals if you expected every thing to be fixed in one year 3.
