UN Security Council demands Israel give up nuclear weapons
Darius11 replied to StreetScooby's topic in Speakers Corner
Hypocrisy has been the US approach towards Israel. So its good if they apply the same logic to every one and not give Israel a free pass as they usually do. One of the main reasons we are hated is because of the hypocrisy in our foreign policy. It would be good if we actually stood for something ,and applied the same belief to all without exceptions. Glen beck is fun too watch I have never seen treason be presented as patriotism so well. I think he is just basically taking advantage of the undiagnosed mentally handicapped we have in this country. IMHO The main blame is the system we have set up for news. Where substance is sacrificed for ratings. I wish we had boring plain factual news that would be great. I also think Lindsay is making a good political move as well. The Republican Party needs more then the religious fuck nuts to survive and right now I can’t even take them seriously. They have simply lost me, and I would rather here from the sane republicans I know there out there, but they have been very hard to find in the last two years. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Now as for your thread. I have been randomly selected every time I have traveled. No matter where I go or I am coming from. But they never treated me rudely, and never asked any thing about my religion. However I agree with my friend above it is a good informative video. It’s good to know your rights. A friend of mine sent me this pic. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Hey Shah I think you will like this got it from Iran *** GEOGRAPHY OF A WOMAN Between 18 and 22, a woman is like Africa: half discovered, half wild, fertile and naturally beautiful. Between 23 and 30, a woman is like Europe: well developed and open to trade, especially for someone of real value. Between 31 and 35, a woman is like Spain: very hot, relaxed, and convinced of her own beauty. Between 36 and 40, a woman is like Greece: gently aging but still a warm and desirable place to visit. Between 41 and 50, a woman is like Great Britain: with a glorious and all conquering past. Between 51 and 60, a woman is like Israel: has been through war, does not make the same mistakes twice, takes care of business. Between 61 and 70, a woman is like Canada: self-preserving, but open to meeting new people. After 70, she becomes Tibet: wildly beautiful, with a mysterious past and the wisdom of the ages, an adventurous spirit and a thirst for spiritual knowledge. GEOGRAPHY OF A MAN Between 1 and 90, a man is like Iran, ruled by nuts. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

The biggest issue with education is not money, but culture. There is a reason why immigrants kick ass in US schools. Again it goes back to what the culture values. In this culture money is the ultimate value, in many other culture education and knowledge is valued above all. You can see this in many Asian cultures, including my own Persian culture. Good grades mean every thing. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

It still does not change the fact that all corporation are designed around a profit model, which is fine for products but not when it comes to humane life and health. IMHO. I remember substance not bull shit. The right has offered nothing of the sort. All I here is the same old blind admiration for capitalism that is treated like religion to some. So yes they are blind and faithful to it regardless of the facts. The rest is people getting suspiciously excited about what the black president is doing. They claim its about taxes and expense yet they all had a tall glass of shut the fuck up when the subject was the Iraq war and the expense was caused by GWB. So sorry but my memory is what allows me to see the hypocrisy and makes me wonder what the real reasons are. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Non-profit Insurance companies? Why can we not have that?
Darius11 replied to Darius11's topic in Speakers Corner
The business is providing health care and I don’t see why they could not have a balance check at the end of the year. Keep money needed for the budget and return the additional funds. There is nothing to reinvest in other then growth. Non-profit companies are allowed to use the money for salaries and all business expenses to keep it runing. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain -
Whats your debate? you said nothing. You can see what i think. I have said it iover and over again, and i belong to no side never have. Here is the short version of what I think. I think healthcare is something that effects all of us and if we have a single payer option where the government (which I understand is all of us) pays the bills. That’s it. Pay the doctors, hospitals and every one else providing the actual health care. All an insurance company does is takes your money takes a cut and then gives it to the people who actually did the service. They are the middle man who do not answer to me they only answer to their share holders who only care if the value of their stock goes up. Even though I think the profit model is great for most industries I do not think it is right way to do things when it comes to health and a few other industries. Mainly because it does not deal with a product but with humane lives. Also prevention is much less expensive. We already cover all emergency care you can not turn someone away because they do not have cash. It’s cheaper to prevent them from ever getting to the emergency room. Now Answer my question please. Do the tea party people think the current health care system is fine the way it is? If not what’s their solution? I await you saying something with substance that is related to the health care debate. I sincerely am I have yet to hear one logical argument. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Non-profit Insurance companies? Why can we not have that?
Darius11 replied to Darius11's topic in Speakers Corner
What do you think? The way it would work is every one running the company would make their salaries. At the end of the fiscal year the profit would be returned to the policyholders. I can’t think of a fairer way, other then the single payer option. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain -
A few questions because I just can’t believe you people have such bad selective memories. Can someone tell me how this is not considered being a traitor, or unpatriotic, When the people who rightfully stood against GWB about the Iraq war were called all those things? How is that standing up against a war that was false, more costly in lives and money was compared with being traitor or unpatriotic? But this is is being a hero? Do the people at these tae parties think the current system of health care is fine the way it is? If not What’s their solution? The more you look at the peoples reaction during the 200 days of this administration, and what they stood for in the pervious 8 years one has to wonder what the fuck is their problem. Is it just because he is a democrat? is it because he is black? I am not one for pulling the race card but how the fuck can you march for this but tell every one else to shut the fuck up when they mentioned something much worst. Like raping our constitution, or starting a bullshit war with no bid contracts. I just don’t get it. I have yet to hear one rational argument to keep the current health care system? As for TV coverage you should check out Fox they basically started this teabag party or whatever its called now movement. Again I ask what is your solution? or do you think every thing is fine the way it is? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I think the first problem is when any one assumes there is one answer to all the problems. It seems Capitalism or socialism has become a religion to some. When you think of any thing in absolutes you lose focus on facts, and rational thought. I think what upset me is not people who have money, or got it from their parents, or won the fucking lottery I don’t care. If I had money that I made I would want control over it. Maybe I worked 80 hr weeks just so my kid does not have to. Who are you to step in and take what’s mine? How is that someone who has never worked such hours and shown such commitment deserves the same advantages that I can give my family? That’s not logical. The problem I have is that the rules seem to not apply the same. That’s where the problem is for me. It seems money is able to bend the rules and give site top lady justice. I don’t like that huge corporation have more say in our government then the people. Is capitalism the answer to every thing? NO When there are issues of morality and the profit model is set up in inverse of service we have problems. You sacrifice what’s best for the people for profit. That’s to me is the opposite of capitalism. Capitalism is great because it serves the consumer, and encourages competition. However when prisons are run on that model the way they profit is by having more inmates. Problem When you talk about healthcare the profit of the companies providing insurance increase the less service they provide. Problem. News: When profit and the number of viewers is more important then substance. Problem I think it’s absolutely idiotic to treat any economic theory as a religion. Life is not black and white neither are the solutions to our problems. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Well I think we believe in some things. Like hard work pays off, or if your willing to work and not be a lazy fuck you can make it. That’s simply no longer the case at least doesn’t feel that way to a lot of people who work their ass off. It seems no matter how hard you try something fucks things up. That’s when you start to feel hopeless. When you have been doing right for a long time yet you have nothing to show for it. I can see why people would be down. I also don’t think it’s just the financial issue but the unfairness of it. It seems the people most responsible are the one least effected. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I think the argument is that humane life should be worth more then the right to profit. When they are working inversely then there is a problem. I think the thing that has become like a religion is the idea that capitalism is the solution to all problems. It fails where what is sacrificed can not me measured by simple measurements of money. Like life. The argument against health care reform is idiotic at best and down right misleading at best. All insurance companies do is take your money take a cut and then give it to the people who provide health care. They are the middleman. All the arguments that I have heard is based on faith in capitalism which on this issue has failed. All you have to do is look at the facts which is probably why the right has refuse to have an intelligent discussion about the subject. Simple answer they have no good argument. The only people who could have a reason for fighting for the insurance companies are people who are shareholders in those companies. Even in that case they are valuing their profit more then the lives and safety of there own fellow citizens. Not something I would be proud of. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I don’t agree. I think the people who were so sure yet had no reason to be, the people who shut down the voices of reason by calling them traitors, and the ones who blindly supported the Iraq war are a lot more responsible then the ones screaming don’t. That’s a huge part of where my anger comes from. Their ignorance, and unwillingness to listen has led to lives lost and money spent. They need to look at themselves and understand that yes what they supported was wrong, and ended up costing many lives and insane amounts of money. Sorry this is the real wo4rld your actions every thing you do has consequences, and just letting them slide because we want to pretend we live in happy land will not cut it. There will always be a next time and I pray the next time they don’t just spew the same garbage and maybe just maybe even listen. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

John I am glad you know this is not Iran good to see your geography skills have improved a little bit. Let me know if you need anymore help, and good to see that you have nothing to add as usual other then some comment about the country I was born. I can introduce you to people born in other countries who disagree with your views as well. Then you can say this is not “insert country of origin here” Let me know i am here to help I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I don’t think they are all evil either. Howvere no matter what news I watch fox or CNBC and every thing in between I see the same thing garbage being spewed from their mouths, with zero substance. I am just sick of it. How many times can you be wrong and not reevaluate your views? How do you (the reps.) have such a selective memory that they want to pretend all this shit just happened. The cost of the FALSE war would have been more then enough to save us from the financial collapse and to help pay for health care or one of the many other things we need. Like a tax refund. Guess what the war was false. When you stand at the UN and say eminent danger and your wrong you fucked up. That’s not up for the reps decide if they fucked up the reason they gave was NOT TRUE. What about the first bail out? Bush did that one and they did it in a way where they had ZERO overset or influence. How can you sit there and support that yet show nothing but negativity for the guy who inherited this mess? I don’t get it. Our taxes paying for Iraq didn’t get all their panties in a bunch and all the people like my self who stood against the war were called Traitors. On what planet do you get more pissed about taxes being spent to save your own people from sickness, then taxes being spent to kill people including our troops for a false war. I mean what the fuck. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I am a bit touchy. I feel we have spent too much time being nice to the stupid and we need to be more aggressive to fix our country. I am sick of just hearing from the insane and I am sick of hypocrisy. 200 days too 8 years. It seems now days we are arguing about things that should not be up for debate. Obama did not fuck this country up he inherited it, and for so many to just look past this HUGE point is ridiculous to me. "I hope he fails" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNAFfBrYcvw I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

You mean in the 200 days? or are you forgetting they were the minoraty before? Who would you blame more the people with less power screaming your wrong or the ones with most of the power who drove us in the ditch. Here is what I expect. When your wrong admit it and change your approach. What’s that saying the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over but expecting different results. That to me is the republicans. They fucked this country with their bull-shit beliefs and ass hats like Rush Limfuck and the idiot sheep that listen to these ass holes like their god. When we were screaming that GWB did this and that (too many fuck ups to list) guess what we were right. He was they were. But whats the right doing? Death panels? Sorry but i am insulted that every american is not smart enough to be insulted with such BS. When they keep on shouting crap it makes me lose respect for them and the people who act as if the BS is real reasons. [ I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

No really I want to know. How do you constantly be wrong, cost countless humane lives, raped the constitution, and hurt this country more then any terrorist could ever and still take your self seriously or be viewed with any validity? I am lost.. Why would any one give any merit to what the rep. have to say? To the Reps themselves. How fucked up do you have to make things to actually reevaluate your views? Is that even possible? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
