  1. Iranian woman have historically had important rolls in society, and respect. The Islamic revolution took us back about a 100 years. What I am finding disturbing is that it seems there might be a change and there might be a new supreme leader. He might be a bit more liberal but I don’t think that is what we need. We will not be free until we are known simply as Iran and not the Islamic republic. Back to the woman, my cousin is one of the many young women who is on the streets fighting everyday. She told me they hit her with a botoom (club) , but right after she said that she said she will not stop they can not stop her. I hope they are all safe. 3. Enough to stop a democratically elected Mosadegh and his entire government, and enough to set up puppet governments that basically do there bidding. So I would say a lot. I think like any other nation our first priority is us. Our government only cares in how it will effect our economy, security, and image in that order. I truly do believe that we are money whores. We have done some great thing like WWII but lets not forget we did not get involved until it was our ass that was on the line. Please note: I am not saying were bad all i am saying is were like most others. Selfserving I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  4. This is a good question but with many different answers depending on what chapter of life you are in. For Exp. A child deserves a lot of things, but me as an adult is way different. I am one of the many disappointed people right now, not because I have sat on my ass waiting for people to hand me stuff actually the opposite. I deserve to live in a society that does not take kindness, loyalty, and hard work as a sign of weakness. I would like to live in a society where every thing is not viewed as a product, and how much money it will cost or make is not ALWAYS the most important priority. I deserve to live in a society where we all have a fair chance, and hard work NOT greed is the way to successes. I deserve to live in the society where Justice has meaning and the people responsible for the good or bad they have caused are the ones who have to deal with consequences or get the rewards. I also think we all deserve to live in a society that values honesty, loyalty, and hard work above greed and a lack of all morals. As for parents it really depends on your relationship with your parents. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

  6. Ah guys i am sure he did not mean a PA to me. I am not hurt and my feelings are ok as well
  7. I am with you. I don’t think anyone can say for sure when a humane life starts. If it is a humane life at conception then it is a life and should have all the rights, at the same time a woman has the right to her body to a point. I am pro choice simply because i don't know the answer to when a life is a humane life. So i think everyone should make up their own mind and live with the consequences. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

  11. It would be in my opinion a change in the right direction, and a message that Iranians do not want extremist leaders who simply do not represent the peoples will. I don't think it will be the change the country needs. We need to separate religion from government policy, and that might happen. There is war on the streets i don't believe all of it is for Mosavie but lots of it is anger at the oppressive Islamic government. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  12. Thank you, and thank him for understanding how importent this is. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  13. This needs to be said over and over. If the people were armed things would be diffrent and not to mention might have changed long ago. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

  15. Just found out that about 150 professors gave they resignation at sharef University in protest. Sharef is The MIT fo Iran I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  16. Most all the information i have is from friends in Iran or is 2nd hand info from people who have a contact there. For some reason nothing seems to work but facebook. The news that the state puts out is bais to say the least. I wish the people were armed. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

  18. I posted this in the other thread but think this needs its own thread. There is blood on the streets of Iran right now. The election was a fruad and the results are untrue. These are what friends in Iran are posting when they can. Most lines are down. "To all non-Iranian friends: please help spread the news of the outrage and disgust of the Iranian people with the election results. Unfortunately, the western media is not currently doing a good job of exposing this blatantly fraudulent election. This is not the will of the Iranian people; they are mostly in shock or despair, and the braver ones are being mercilessly beaten on the streets. PLEASE SHARE" "Here's a status from 5 minutes ago for those who give a shit with whats happening in the Region: In Tehran right now-the regime is beating people with machetes; mobile telecommunication lines are down (how conveniently); and civil protesting has now turned into a blood bath against the people. Some scenes and pictures sent remind you of the Tiananmen massacre. My brother is one of those guys speaking his heart." "a reporter in Tehran reports: "Some Employees of the Department of Internal Affairs announced that the real election results are as follows: Moosavi (reformist candidate): 19,075,623 votes, Karroobi (reformist candidate) 13,387,104 votes, Ahmadi Nezhad (incumbent) 5,698,417 votes, and Rezaei 3,754,218 votes." This makes a lot of sense to all of us." I hope the people win for once. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

  20. Matt Stone, and Trey Parker. Michael Jordan and Kate Beckinsale dressed as a death dealer.
  21. Yea that’s the first argument I thought of as well. If I have to choose from losing my car, home, or food I might like to have the option of taking an insane loan out just to survive as the other choice is to steel and go to jail. But as a society can we not think of a better way? Its one thing to not care about the people who do not want to produce or work. What about the people (and there are a lot of them in the last two years) who do want to work are skilled but are forced to live on unemployment because there is no jobs. Is there a better way then to rape the people in need? Is the only option to become homeless and go hungry or pay a ridiculous rate? I don't know the answere, but think there should be a better way. Or at least a way of setting some sort of max rate they can charge. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  22. In Iran they call it Nozool and it is considered one of the worst sins a person can do. To take a usery loan or give a usery loan is considered a huge sin. Now aside from the religious aspect of it, lets apply the common sense aspect. The people who are going to agree to such loans are usually people in dire need. As a society do we want to allow such loans to be legal? They currently are. Or is this yet another way that we keep the poor poor. Now if you have never had a problem making ends meet, or money has just never been a big issue for your life please take a moment to understand that not all these loans are for drugs, or losers. Often the people taking these payday loans, or cash advances from their credit cards have to choose, between losing their house, apartment, not having food, or power or taking one of these loans. So what do you think. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  23. We have the American Jewish society to thank for that. They seem to think any negative information about Israel no matter how factual should never be mentioned, or if mentioned the person mentioning it must just hate Jews. I just heard last week on NPR how they are trying to make comparing Israeli action to Nazi action be regarded as anti-Semitic. This all happened when photos where published that show Israeli solders caught in the same exact action as German solders were in WWII. One is of a German gunmen aiming his gun at a woman and child, next is a picture of an Israeli solder doing the same. The Jewish Americans (most of them, some already do) need to understand that blind support of Israel regardless of their actions is blind support of massive human rights violations. Human rights violations should NEVER be excused. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  24. I love F1, and watch it all the time, makes for some really sleepy days at work. GO Masa I think he is the best driver, and I was very disappointed he did not win last year. I think Monaco is his. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  25. Here is another thing to consider as well. Parachutes and rigs don’t depreciate as much. If you take care of them they will be good for a very long time, and you can sell for a fair price. Welcome to the community, and congratulations on the first jump man. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
