Does this video describe how you really feel, in general?

FUCKING FUCK I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain -
Not sure why my friend sent me this, but it creeped me out.....
Darius11 replied to Cari's topic in The Bonfire
I think she has some good points. Once you realize what most consider creepy, or cool mainly depend on ones culture and your normality (whats normal for you) you realize it is not that unusual. Young boy, young girl who like each other and are filled with hormones are known to have sex. It seems they were also very aware of the genetic risks. I don’t get it but I see no one was hurt so who am I to judge. A lot of what we think of as bad or good only has to do with what you have been thought. How can something be bad if it hurts no one? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain -
I can't find that, nor do I recall you directly answering that question. Care to repeat your response? Wow first I have to say I am so happy that so many people are holding their breath just to see what I have to say. I appreciate that because what I say doesn’t just happen over night it actually has a lot of research and real life experience behind it. So I am very happy that you guys realize the value in it especially in a sea of garbage that spews from so many mouths (or fingers) Thank you To your question which was answered in the other lets trash Muslims thread. Sorry I lost track there are so many from the same people It’s hard to follow or really give a shit about all of them. Also i would like to add. Just because they are Arab they are responsible? Do we need to take care of all of Europe’s issues because most are from that ancestry? Egypt is not the ones killing the Palestinians you can try to shift blame just because people have the same ancestry or claim some sort of responsibility but it is kind of a ridiculous notion. I have said it before the reason I feel the way I do about the Palestinians has nothing to do with them being Arab, or Muslim. I am not Arab. But before I relate to any thing religion, race, creed I do remember that I am humane and there are some things that are inhumane. That we all should speak out against. I don’t see the relation of ancestry or race to having some responsibility? I do however think we are all responsible for the humane race and to not make excuses or exceptions to things that should never be accepted by any of us. That’s a concept that some will never grasp and that’s because they live cozy lives and are clueless. As I have said many times before these are usually the same ass holes who will ask for a manager if there coffee is not hot enough or sue if its too hot. I fucking hate ass holes who think children diying is funny as long as no one fucks with their kid. I think Bills answer is a great one (if you get it). The same reasons no country just opens their borders to every one. The fact that anyone would expect them do (just because there arab) as stated before a ridiculous notion as they are not the ones committing atrocities. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Well when you think of the psychology behind becoming a cop or any occupation where you get to tell people what to do you can kind of guess what types of people seek such opportunities. Some are truly there because they want to help, and some our there because of the power. In my old town in NY most where there because the pay was ridiculously high and they did nothing, really nothing other then hassle people for stupid shit. I love good cops, i really hate bad ones. Sorry i think it depends on the person. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

The Arab world has spoken…in support of Israel.
Darius11 replied to vortexring's topic in Speakers Corner
dude did you even read it There is a big dude who wont let you move, and your wonderring why they might be angery? They werent even given a day to sjow what they would do. Hard to have peace talks with your self. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain -
already did. it must on one of these pagis I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I think you would be surprised if you knew what the actual people feel like. Most are on Israeli side because they have hate for Arabs, not to mention many of your fellow Israelis I believe even some top government officials are of Persian decent. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
-
We disagree. I think GAZA has been a prison camp where the prisoners have been being mistreated for along time. I don’t just choose to see the riot I want to see what caused the riot as well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_legislative_election,_2006 I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
-
Why are they fighting? Just would love to hear your opnion. Yea I don’t blame you for that I wouldn’t like anyone who wants me dead either. I just think the reason they might not like you or Israelis has a lot more to do with the actions of your government, then you being Jewish or them being Muslim. BBC does a good job most of the time, but the others (never watched SKY) are one sided. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
-
Did you see the daily show link I posted. John Stewart was the only person I watched on TV who even mentioned the other side. He also mentioned how far in the tank every politician and the news media is for Israel. So we are experience the exact opposite. I like honesty I know we do not agree but I would rather get both sides of every issue then just one every time. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Hamas was who the people elected because they felt they are the only ones who give a shit about them. I understand it is counterproductive, but so is the Israeli action. This so called war will amount to nothing. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
-
Because in my opinion the actions of Israel has created HAMAS. If the Palestinian people did not have so much frustration, and suffering there would be no HAMAS. There would be no need for a HAMAS. But in the current situation HAMAS is all the Palestinians have. I do not like their tactics as I think the loss of ANY inocent life is a tragedy, but I can understand why they are fighting. Another point: If I seem very one sided which I know I do. One other reason for it is our media. You can disagree with me all you want but our media knows whom they are going to favor in their reports before any facts are even known. Most Americans don’t even get to see the other side, and that really pisses me off because I feel people are being intentionally misled. To me that’s not very American what are they afraid off? I know the answer. American people feel very strongly about justice and oppressive powers. They would not stand for aid being sent to Israel if they knew the whole picture. I am not saying they would start donating money to HAMAS, but I think they would not want to contribute to continuing Israeli action. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Yea but your not being fair. You can pick and choose lines from Christianity and Judaism that are just as violent or illogical. Also infighting is not a problem that is just an Islamic phenomenon. Remember the first “terrorist” ever were the IRA. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
-
Well depends on what you are discussing. It is not unusual for people to fight until they receive justice. Or claim that the can not have any peace untill they recive some justice Some times you can fight with a pen some times you have to fight with a gun really depends on your situation and the environment you are fighting in. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
-
I agree. It is truly unfortunate. This will not do either side any good. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
-
So, who gets to define what justice is? That’s a good question. I tend to lean towards one side so I would not be the best person to ask on this subject. But I think when you have two groups of people who have a claim to a land the land should be divided fairly and evenly. I don’t know why I think that’s justice but it makes sense does it not? And to be more detailed the land has to be divided evenly not just in shear size but also in locations and tepography I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
-
Gosh -- ya think the same thing applies in both directions? Its sad how he doesn’t see the hypocrisy in his own words. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
-
No its focuse is on justice as there will always be people who brake the peace. It will if no justice is ever served. Or they can decide to be just. Once justice is served there is no need for fighting. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
-
As you have said before, Islam is a religion of justice, not peace. I'm getting the impression that there is no such concept as "turn the other cheek" in Islam. Is that a fair statement? yes it is. In Islam or my understanding of it is that you never do harm to others but you never allow any one to do harm to you as well. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
-
Bill do you think you can have peace without justice? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

You know over the years it seems for some reason you understand my English better then most or you just can read my mind. Thank you for that post. That’s what I don’t get. How can you rejoice from other people misery? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

It’s almost as if you’er trying not to see my point. The circumstance in a way a life is lost matters. If my mom hears that I died skydiving a decision I made she would probably deal with it with less anger then if Amazon goes on a rage and kills me because I am Muslim or if a drunk driver hits me. Have you not seem victims families when they feel the loss of life was someone else’s mistake? They never shut the fuck up until they feel they have had justice. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
-
Sorry billy but you are out of touch with their lives. Thast the cop out. Any time you have fighters sacrificing there lives just to hurt their enemy they usually believe some ridiculous shit. For the kamikazes it was considered dishonorable to come back alive. Dihonorable to live! Believe it or not Muslim children are not born wanting to die. Yet in dealing with no hope, and consistent cruelty insane decision seem sane and even logical. People are as good as their options. My biggest issue is with the dehumanizing of Muslims or anyone, and the expectance of it. When ever a culture or a group of people look at other people and view them as less that’s when we have huge wars, war crimes, and genocide. That’s why I always find some posts very disturbing. Give people all people more credit. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
-
Making peace at the cost of being your oppressor’s prisoner is not an option and for anyone to think it is disingenuous at the least. The fact that you think Israelis have just been holding peace signs and have never done anything that warrants aggression or anger is ridiculous. The fact that you excuse all the violence and make jokes about children dying while you sit on your ass at home is disturbing. The consistent hatred you represent for any thing and every thing Muslim is repulsive. I am simply sorry to see it so much from so many. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
-
True Bill but expand the philosophy a bit to more then just that example and that one person. How would the family of the dead feel? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
