  1. That was funny and sad at the same time. I think it is about who the person is. That includes every thing including race, including being a P.O.W. I know some people will just vote for or against him because he is African American, but the majority will look at him as a whole just as they look at Mccaine. Would it be better if it was just the issues yes, but it would be better if they were both hooked up to lie detectors too.
  2. I don’t know if its because I was not born here, I don’t know if my expectations are too high, but when ever I thought of America I thought of a fair land. We set the standard in humanity I thought. I am so frustrated that the very country I love the idea of America is so easily manipulated by the weak and fearful. Below is a list of things we do or said we will do that we didn’t 8 years ago. The suspension of Habeas corpus Preemptive strikes Torture CIA Plains to send people to get tortured in other countries The willingness to use nuclear weapons on non nuclear countries The loss of personal freedoms The Fiasco with the justice department (I don’t recall) The Fiasco with the economy Use of mercenary forces with no international over site. Braking international law Stating that we are and all our forces are above international law. Taking, Stealing tax payers money to help big companies. To me these were the things we used to stand against, now we are the ones who have become the violator. I don’t know maybe I fantasized that we stood for justice, and held ourselves to a higher standard, did I? I hope all of you, Right, left, whatever realize the significant change that has takin place. I understand that some of you might even think it is a good thing, but lets not forget what made this country great in the first place. The Idea of America, and American justice used to be legendary in my mind and I know in the minds of many others. I know a lot of us including most of your ancestors came here because of some kind of justice. Not all of us were Hungary, poor and looking to take jobs. Many of us wanted better for ourselves and not just in financial matters, but a better place in every way. I love this country and I feel like I am watching it crumble. Not wall street, not Main Street, not the loss of jobs, or even the war. It is every thing that has changed the Idea of America, and it truly saddens me. I feel we will make it trough any storm if we stay true to what we stand for. I feel we lose when we sacrifice these great ideas of freedom for fear. I feel the true patriots would be willing to lose safety over freedom. I hope we get back on the right track. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  3. Not married I simply do not believe in it. I can’t find one reason why people would get married and need a contract…Tax Brake? I am not a player I have been with my girl for 4 years and we have been friends for more then 8. We both do not believe in cohabitation, we do believe in commitment, and a monogamous relationship. The way I always have looked it is this. If you love someone you want him or her to be happy. So if she decides one day she does not want to be with me then I should want her to go, and the same for me. Why try to have a contract to force someone to be with you? How is that love? I will say this. If She decides she wants to get married then I would to make her happy, but to me my commitment is not defined by a piece of paper. 5. Who said that’s not fair? As long as you did not get you’re wealth in an unethical manner then why not. I think we would be happy if the ones responsible (the few) got punished, but they get a slap on the wrist and then get to come out and go back to there million dollars homes. This is off course after the employees they had can not retire to even a modest retirement because the CEO broke the law, and became greedy. No one said you shouldn’t but there is a difference between working hard and fucking over people. I think corporate loopholes need to be closed. They simply do not pay their fair share of taxes. As for the CEOs if you make more you pay more, and again if someone has to pay then 5% increase on 250K is not as detrimental as it would be 5% of someone who makes 30K a year. You can live with out first class you cant live with out food and a home. When we stop seeing corrupt people in power who take advantage of all the people who actually do the work then maybe we would feel better. As of right now knowing my tax money is going to help some CEO who is already retired and in the Caymans having fun I think I have the right to be pissed that we are paying for their mistake. As for Evil, The idea of capitalism is that money is your god. You live to make a profit. Which is fine however with some regulation. As we know Corporations have lawyers and will try to do anything to pay less and make more at any cost as long as they can get away with it. If we had enough regulation wait regulation is not the word, oversight then it should be fine. My main concern is that there needs to be some one making sure that laws are not being broken. As long as they did not STEAL it from me they can have as much as they want. We have. but I don’t think this one way we have with the middle class help the rich is exactly fair. When a corporation and the people leading it (CEOs) lie to make huge profits with out any regard to the employees lives that they destroy they need to be punished severely in my opinion. Again I think corporate loopholes need to be closed. They should pay their fair share and not be allowed to play games with the system so they do not pay. If you made your money in an ethical manner then I don’t think anyone is saying you should be punished. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  6. Wealth redistribution is BS If the system was not so flawed. First the system has to be fixed. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  7. Excuses maybe? He might be hiding weapons of mass destruction, or maybe he is an insurgent. Either way cant wait to see the movie. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  8. She is awesome. She shoots an M4 and man is she hot, and thats why i am voting for her. Would love to hit that I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

  10. I think the pic is perfect with the blanks I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  11. I agree that is wrong. Keep your personal shit to your self and teach your course. This makes me wonder. Why is that? Do liberals have more tendency to get higher education? or is it after people get higher education and become professors they become liberal because they went trough the system? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  12. Thats good to hear. I have noticed the opposite and hope i am wrong. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  13. Also when ever you are speaking of something like education you have to generalize there is no point in showing the exceptions, but you deal with the majority. Our students in our public schools are generally ranked on the lower end when compared to the world. Yet certain foreigners who have cultures that value education tend to do great in the same system. To me the difference is culture. I have also noticed the attitude of some of the posters on here towards people with higher education and could not understand where the attitude came from. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  14. It is hard to describe an attitude that I have noticed on the Forums lately, and also something I have noticed in the populace as well. Don’t know how to make it less general, and that’s why I made this thread. People who do think that higher education is BS can speak up; people who think I am imagining things can also feel free to mention that, So feel free contribute something if you wish. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  15. Just reading some of the posts and a few threads. Why is it that higher education is viewed as a bad thing by some in the USA? I have often wonder why our kids do so horrible in the same public schools that foreigners tend to excel in. I think the answer to that question is culture. In this culture higher education is not as valued as it is in other cultures. What I don’t understand is why? Why is it that some of us look at being a professor as a bad thing? I don’t get it. So someone studied a subject to become an expert on the matter, most likely spent years and countless time studying the subject to be smarter at that subject then the average. Why is that a bad thing? Have we all become so narcissistic that we don’t think anyone is smarter then us, at least on some subjects? Why the hate or dislike towards higher educated people? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  16. I don’t know I guess I am just an animal person. I grew up with chickens, ducks, pigeons, and a bunch of other animals. I love dogs, cats, birds, bugs whatever. If I had to choose between a cat and a dog I would get a dog because I am allergic to cats, but that’s the only reason. I would have loved to have a pet alligator. There is one thing that I really love about cats. No leash laws. You can have a cat and take care of him/her and if they are an outdoor cat they can still have a free life. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  17. And thus, people with tardive diskenesia (involuntary facial tics) were burned as witches. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the good ol days I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  18. Yes it is. No you shouldn’t. You should just be pissed and disappointed that more then half the population responds to such tactics. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  19. No Big deal at all. Just reporting the error as I was told to by a moderator. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  20. Good Read. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  21. Offensive? yes to some, but who cares. I love free speech more then i care about peoples feelings, and most of the shit i like to watch is offensive to someone at some time. Screw you guys i am going home. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  22. It is a sad day in America. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  23. here in a few months? I just fined it so odd that the one person who should remain calm knowing how effective consumer confidence is to the market screams the sky is falling. Asks for 700 billion dollars with no over site, and he will not be here in a few months. Even if there were no crisis the stock market would have fallen if the secretary would say the sky is falling. I remember when the stock market would immediately react to whatever greenspane said this is not new. Maybe it’s just a conspiracy theory in my head that this is mostly BS, but its not like we have not been lied to before by these people. When you look at whom we are talking about any thing is possible. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  24. Unfortunately I think about half the population is mentally retarded. I really mean that, and I am sick of trying to be nice. We have people who mention she is hot or a MILF sorry a GILF as a reason they like her. It’s sad and very frustrating, but I started losing hope when GWB won the 2nd time, and now with this bail out or fuck the tax payer bill I am seriously in shock of what is happening to America. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  25. She answered she said all of it. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
