i've been jumping for four years (68 jumps) and I almost have my B Liscence. In my home state I have jumped at most of the DZ's in it and have seen the way such things are done at each one. I am sorry to say that they are not all consistent with the OP regs. Put simply, not all enforce the single point restraint rule though they are good regarding helmets and everyone keeping an eye on theirs and everyone elses hackeys, handles etc. I pointed out a BOC hackey hanging a little out to a 'sky god' and got a smile and a thumbs up after he fixed it. No ego there. A culture of safety prevails in my state DZ's I am glad to say. Which makes the occasional SPR tardiness hard to understand. And yes, it is hard as a novice skydiver to speak up about it when you see it. But getting a 90 kilo skydiver in the face after the plane fraps in on landing doesn't sound like fun either.

Whoa man...too many questions. Almost every question in there is a complete thread on it's own. My advice to you is to pare your questions down to the bare minimum. Or, alternatively post a single question at a time. A question like "Where in Skydiving is communication most important and where is safety compromised by faulty or too little communication?". Create a form and shout the bar while they fill it out at your local DZ!!

At first, freefall was the big thrill. After 30 or so jumps having fun under canopy became real cool. I'm really looking forward to gaining sufficient experience to participate in CRW jumps. The canopys today require people to become highly proficient pilots. So, it's both. Part of the joy of jumping is there are so many different things to do and learn. In my limited experience anyway.

Hello to all at Dropzone.com! My ex-girlfriend said to me once, ' But...what do you want to do with your life...?'. Quick as a flash I replied, ' I want to paint and skydive!'. That's my dream... I'm posting this image because I am looking for some feedback on what sort of skydive clothing designs people want. I tend more towards quirky cartoon designs but I could pretty much do anything. The plan is to start with stickers and caps and go from there. The more cynical among you may say that this is a cheap attempt at market research and they would be absolutely right.
