Kristy, well I remember that my human instructor said he jumped at a DZ near Vegas years ago - something called Calnevari. Reckons they were a great bunch of jumpers there - but all humans, no teddies or pink panthers. He told me there was a casino right near the packing area, right by the gas station. Maybe that's where your lizard hangs out to raise money for his jump gear. But if she's a lizard with blood and gizzards and stuff, she'll be no good for me - I need someone with soft fur and cotton stuffing on the inside. But hey, thanks for the news anyhow - at least we've got some good interspecies dialogue going on here. Pink Skies, panth

Here's latest info from the MD of the DZ - hot off the press: HI ALL I regret that I have to be the bearer of bad news. As you know we expected a German team to come and break their national record of a 120 way in Umm Al Quwain. We had warning about a Ban 4 weeks before the event with provisional approval from the GCAA. They required us to obtain 2 letters from the ministries and that is where the bureaucracy started. 2 Days before the event we were told that it will not be possible. I then tried to shift the first 3 days to Quesm Island but without success. We had to phone 135 Germans last night to inform them of the situation. We are now trying to get some of them here for next weekend. There is some indication that they are prepared to come and if there is sufficient numbers I will get the AN12 in for 2 days. We can only start jumping on the 26th (Friday). And we will most probably jump for 3 days. The Caravan will be ready on Friday as well and the New Instructor arrived this morning. Our new packing area is ready and will be carpeted on Saturday morning. So lets make next Friday a day to remember. The rigger will be here for another 5 days so if you gear is not here then you will loose out. The cost of a reserve pack will be AED 220 and that will not even cover my cost of bringing him out here. He is very good and can do repairs on the new sewing machine we have acquired for the rigging room. That is all for now.

Simon, Dubai doesn't have a president .... Anyhow, the meet was cancelled as there's a General Aviation ban on there at the moment. The DZ fought with the CCAA long and hard to have the ban removed just for the event.sadly they failed. Anyhow, they're trying to get an AN12 in for this weekend to at least get some jumps in before the ban commences. If you can make it for 2 or 3 days, get yourself there and enjoy. No I'm not floating - I was just pulling out of a zeroG dive - it's the bloody human who was the floater - the picture isn't representative of the moment .... still, at least I had my right side of my face showing as I'd had a late night the night before and was a bit tender, if you know what I mean. So you can see why I then went into free style - no human could upset my pink moods. Are you another human or a skydiving panther? Hi all, HELP! I am bitterly disappointed. I’ve spent weeks looking at all previous forum subjects and posts – and I cannot find anyone else like me!!!! Aren’t there any other skydiving panthers out there? Am I the only licensed non-human skydiver? Come on – any other panthers, pink or not – let’s hear from you!!!!! It’s not that I don’t have any human friends and jump-buddies, I do. Heck, it was a human who put me through jump school 25 years ago and went on to coach me through RW training, packing, and even drinking beers after a hard day at the DZ.I was even Best Man at his wedding. But I’d really like a jumping-panther buddy, preferable female. Or any type of soft and cuddly bear type of jump buddy – hmmmm, again, preferably a female one.
