It's the fate of an animal lover to get hurt when they die. They dont live as long as we do and we will say good bye to several pets during our lives. I remember fondly my severely cross bread sheaperd like dog with his white fur and large red spots. E.T. was a good dog that could escape any attempt to keep him in the yard. He usually waited for me at the bus stop after school. I got teased alot about that, but E.T. always seemed so happy to see me, I could not get angry. Before I read the thread I didn’t understand what I saw, are there any aerial shots that should look pretty cool - uhh, or maybe I should say hot. There is a lot of stuff worth doing but then there is a lot of stuff worth doing instead.

Hey, mabe it's just a stange new variation of the feeder fetish or maybe he's her very own human jumping castle. There is some real weird people out there. Hell I am one of them, luckly for totally different reasons. There is a lot of stuff worth doing but then there is a lot of stuff worth doing instead.

Come on man, did you wash your hands before making this post? There is a lot of stuff worth doing but then there is a lot of stuff worth doing instead.

Our club charge the equivalent of about $9 per jump for rental and repack. The rental gear includes two rigs that can be used for freefly and the canopies range from 285 on ripcord rigs to 190 on throw out rigs. They recently replaced the canopies in two of the throw out rigs with new 200sqft canopies. They will probably not go much smaller than 190 because our club is at a high elevation and the rentals is aimed mainly at students and low timers. It sounds good, I love to self medicate. I'll give it a try. There is a lot of stuff worth doing but then there is a lot of stuff worth doing instead.

It's a new day and it doesn't bother me at the moment. I'll put going to the doctor of for another day and eventually it will get better by it self. My girlfriend is a nurse and she hasn't been very sympathetic. I guess that is why I've pitied myself. There is a lot of stuff worth doing but then there is a lot of stuff worth doing instead.

I landed with a bit of an impact last Saturday. It would not have been bad at all but then I went down on my knees and there was a rock waiting for one of them. The only rock in quite a radius as well. I am starting to get worried because the damn thing seems to be getting more stiff and it pains when I get up after sitting for a while. I think I'll have to go to a doctor for the first time in about 5 years. There is a lot of stuff worth doing but then there is a lot of stuff worth doing instead.

If you were soon going to come in to a significant chunk of change.....
PurpleWill replied to Muenkel's topic in The Bonfire
I'll open a night club in Johannesburg with floors for all things dark and alternative and I will bring over the bands that should but doesn't come to South Africa. The profits should pay for all the first jump couses I want to give and keep my buddies and me in a state of perpetual free fall. USPA needs to update their emblem. This is 2004' not the 70's
PurpleWill replied to royalskydiver's topic in The Bonfire
It seems like it's gonna take a lot of convincing to turn the USPA super tanker. There is a lot of stuff worth doing but then there is a lot of stuff worth doing instead. -
Brilliant, not just for the site, but also for the sport and all its disciplines. This place is where misconceptions are abolished and knowledge is shared. Everybody curious about falling should know this is the place to get answers. There is a lot of stuff worth doing but then there is a lot of stuff worth doing instead.

Searching for "www.dropzone.com" as a phrase I came accross this interesting connection to this site. I guess it's got something todo with making the girls more aerodynamic. Click Me There is a lot of stuff worth doing but then there is a lot of stuff worth doing instead.

System Of A Down - Steal This Album. Not only a brilliant band but also highly politically active group, constantly part of some movement, lobbying congress to do, or stop doing something. The good old American way. Deftones - Around the fur. This one for the first track. My own Summer - real powerful stuff. Seether - Disclaimer. When I first heard their stuff I couldn’t believe they were South African. A year latter they signed a 5 album contract in America. Rammstein - Mutter. Gut German rock/metal electro fusion. Did you recently look through any holes in any fences? It sounds like a STD you can pick up that way. There is a lot of stuff worth doing but then there is a lot of stuff worth doing instead.

A cliff diver doing a 5sec delay starts accelerating from 0km/h. If you want to hit the water vertical you start accelerating from de-arch velocity from an altitude from which you think is the last moment to get yourself vertical. If you survive you will never have to buy another beer in your live. Just make sure you have it on video!!! There is a lot of stuff worth doing but then there is a lot of stuff worth doing instead.

Has this happened to you (gross picture included)
PurpleWill replied to sabregrl's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
A friend had a similar but not at all as sever popped vein in one of his eyes after the spin test during his freefall progression. It basically healed with time and it took a while for all the blood to be reabsorbed. Blood vessels in the eye pop easier for some people than for others and can even pop from plain high blood pressure or physical exertion. It’s a good idea to have a doctor check it promptly for serious complications like retinal detachment, which can also result from physical exertion. Everybody has to deal with his or her own issues. In my case, one skydive a month pulled me through a year of unemployment and I came out the other side stronger than ever. I got by leaning on family and doing lose jobs that did not recognize my education. I do not judge because I had a great support structure of friends and family when live tested me. It is easy to romanticize but lets make it a good way to live not a good way to die. There is a lot of stuff worth doing but then there is a lot of stuff worth doing instead.

I think accessibility might also be an issue even if not an official one. Competitors usually become good partly because they have a lot of money to burn. It's not like the marathon where a guy from a village in Kenya can compete against a guy from the States. There is a lot of stuff worth doing but then there is a lot of stuff worth doing instead.

Line twists after your under a good canopy
PurpleWill replied to SurfFlite's topic in Safety and Training
I have on occasion followed an aggressive toggle turn by an aggressive toggle turn in the other direction. I knew about flow separation that could make a canopy behave unpredictably or collapse, which I considered a good reason not to do anything drastic under about a 1000', but getting 4-5 line twists seems like a good reason to respect your canopy at any altitude. I have probably been lucky so far because I jump a low wing loading, to compensate for the altitude of the Johannesburg Skydiving Club.
