I have to agree with everyone else, you are way too hot to get your lip pierced, but have you ever thought about getting an eyebrow pierced? I think a little hoop would look great on you. But like someone said, it's not a tattoo, and it's your call. Go for what feels right.

Fail English class? That's unpossible!

Nowhere near as good as the first, but so much better than that turd of a second movie.

I'm still a way green rookie, I have no idea how much a reserve repack costs, but working as an RN, I don't think it would be nearly as much as medical bills. Glad things worked out, though

Hiya all, not so much a skydiving question but a question about the forums. How do you make those icons? I'd like to use one, but all of my pics are too big. Thanks.

I don't know nearly enough to respond to this, I'm still a student, but I just wanted to say hi to a shipmate. 350 square feet sounds pretty big, The student rig I use (or is that abuse?) is a Manta 230 sq. foot. Good luck, bro.

Conservatives and libertarians gaining ground in media
ripper0289 replied to Lefty's topic in The Bonfire
"Such open displays of patriotism are anathema to today's liberal journalists, who see "taking sides" as a betrayal of journalistic objectivity." I don't think they see it as taking sides, they have already taken sides, and they see these United States of America as bad. -
After my first AFF jump, all of six jumps ago, I bought a full face. With the helmet on and the shield down, the noise level fall drastically. I haven't filled the slot on my ST-1(yet), but its likely to be no problem hearing it when I do.

Don't pull their clearances, put them on trial for treason. Bastards. The democratic party is so bereft of any good ideas that they have to pull this kind of BS.

Latest update to 'Struggling student on 3s delays'
ripper0289 replied to lintern's topic in Safety and Training
A neat trick one of my JM's pulled on me my last jump was to ask me to look at the belly of the plane immediately after exit and tell him whether the gear was up or down. -
Latest update to 'Struggling student on 3s delays'
ripper0289 replied to lintern's topic in Safety and Training
Firstly I am almost unaware as to what is happening - the exit is a 'blur'. From the point of exit to the point of having an almost open canopy I only remember snap shots of what actually happens. This is why when people advise me to 'just arch' their advice is of no help. This is because I am unable to consciously tell myself what to do due to this sensory overload.*** I'm an AFF student at Skydive Pennsylvania, and beginning with my very first jump my JM's do a fanatstic review of the dive with me. After my first jump I realized how important it was to both 1) Relax and have fun, but also 2) Keep my focus up there. I've found that I'm actually enjoying it more when I can feel what my body is doing, especially after my last dive when I was doing 180 and 360 degree turns. It was one of those "Holy Smokes! I'm really doing this!" moments. I caught some turbulence near the ground so I did a major league pooch screw landing, but nothing broken, thank God. Personally, the focus and concentration and trying to relax at the same time lets me enjoy my dive more, and hopefully makes me a better and safer student. The JMs at my dropzone do a fantastic job. -
First jump ever tomorrow AFF

Relax and enjoy, I'm an AFF student as well, you're gonna love it. -
I've heard this one as well, and that when you go through a cloud you can suffocate. Wierd, huh?

I'm 84% pure, geesh, I've been going to the wrong parties

Am I doing something wrong?

No Hard openings, little ripper is adjusted, maybe it's just the rig. -
Am I doing something wrong?
ripper0289 replied to ripper0289's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I have a whopping six jumps under my belt, I have a question. The leg straps always hurt like hell when I get the parachute open. The last time I jumped they actually left bruises. Am I doing something wrong? My spirit is willing but the groin is starting to complain. Is it just a matter of using student gear, do personal rigs feel better? -
I still like my obscure Shakespeare quote, not only is it perfect for skydiving, but just about anything else worth taking a chance for.

Hi all, My name's Leonard, I'm an AFF student at Skydive PA, I've ridden the plane 7 times and jumped 6. When I rode the plane back down, my arm was tingling, I didn't feel safe jumping. Rather than chiding me at all, everyone told me I did the right thing. I wonder if the world of "whuffos" realize just how safety oriented this sport is? I think it was after that ride down that I realized that this is a sport I can stick with and feel reasonably comfortable. You guys all rock!

I have only jumped 6 times, but on my last jump I hit some turbulence for the first time, I now realize how important the PLF is, so now I'd rather prepare for a hard landing, if it turns out well, nice bonus, if not, at least I'm not gonna make an avoidable mistake.

Does he have any single sisters?

Hello everyone. My is Leonard, I'm new to the sport, I'm jumping out of Skydive Pennsylvania, I'm loving every jump but still need to figure out how to land standing up. Just wanted to say howdy to everyone.

First Jump! and questions about AFF.
ripper0289 replied to DrStrangelove's topic in Introductions and Greets
Go to the USPA website, start reading the skydiving information manual. Lots of good stuff in there, it's free if you read it online. I just made my level 7 aff jump yesterday and when I can't jump I try to read some everyday. -
I bought this helmet after my first aff dive, best investment I could have made at that time. I now have a whopping total of 5 AFF jumps under my belt and I think this helmet has helped. I couldn't relax with the wind in my face but now I can't wait to get out of the plane. I can hear the radio through the helmet for landings. The only bad thing for me is that I have to put my glasses on after the canopy opens. Great helmet.
